Glass and digitizer replacement for gionee gn700w? - General Questions and Answers

Hello guys!
After a drop at a party, the phone's glass was cracked, but the digitizer, the touchscreen, is also affected. For example, the phone in cause was set to request a PIN CODE at startup. Pressing anywhere on the screen just means inputting random numbers. I can press on 6, it goes with 12386 (random example). I can press anywhere, it can come #*123 (again, random). I think you guys get the idea.
I've changed a bad glass on a Galaxy Ace Plus before. Just bought it and then went to a mobile service and they replaced the glass.
I'm not sure what now. I read that Gionee GN700W has OGS (On Glass Screen?). Someone told me that this means the replacement must be done with the display also. The display on the phone in discussion is intact. No problems with the colors, no dead pixels, nothing like that.
I don't think I'm allowed to post a link to the site where I found the glass, but the name is "Digitizer Touch Screen Glass FOR Gionee GN700W"; Plus, the picture is this:

So can you tell me if buying this and going to a gsm service will suffice?
This would cost me somewhere around 35$ (service + the product). Taking the phone to the authorized service would cost me ~70$, so that's the problem now.

Broken screen on Blue Angel, can I replace it with a Harrier?

Hey guys
I picked up a XDA IIs cheaply with a cracked screen from droppage, hoping I might be able to replace the screen with my PDA2k EVDO's (I live in Australia where the CDMA network no longer works)..
Would this be feasable? According to http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomparer There pretty much the same bar GSM functionality and wireless (Which makes the device pretty much useless otherwise).. from what I understand, two identical phones from the same line can have completely different proprietary screens as is the case with some laptops; But I'm unsure of how many competitors and movement would be in the 3.2" TFT market.
I'll let you know of my results when I get around to it.. I'm crossing my fingers I'll get a smart phone with wifi and bluetooth, it would surely crap all over my current 3315

If the LCD screen of Harried looks like this, then maybe you can use it with your BA

My BA's LCD was badly damage before so I have to replace it. I went to a mall and they sold me a new LCD screen of MDA III which is blueangel also.

Touchscreen issues after replacing LCD

I had a Sensation with a broken LCD but working digitizer. So I bought a new LCD and followed some Youtube movies to replace that LCD. Before you can replace the LCD, you must disarm the digitizer also. It looks everything went fine and I was very happy that the screens goes on and digitizer works.
The problem started when I wanted to use the more. The touchscreen had very strange responses. Some of the parts of the screen(for example in keyboard part) are difficult to touch a specific letter. The borders of the left looks not / very resposive, keyboard tooks the first letter next to him. A few letters are to responsive, when I tick them, i get a few letters of them a a few around that letter.
I've tried the things in this topic: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239238
Anyone any suggestion? Does this look as a failing digitizer that most be replaced also? Must I calibrate the digitizer?
Other thing what's may be part of the problem. After assembling the phone, I keep the problem that on the left side of the screen, the screen not totale fall into the casing. On the right side the screen fall exactly into the case. On the left an above side the screen hangs 1 of 2 mm above the casing. When I press on that side, the screen goes into the casing, but comes above after releasing.

So i dropped my nexus 5 at football match. The screen took a nose drive to the concrete and the Spigen ultra slim case wasn't able to save it, The screen works fine but the crack is getting worst each time i use my phone and thanks to a screen protector holding the shattered glass.
Looking for a LCD Touch Screen Digitizer with Frame replacement on eBay UK and wanted to know that the screen replacement is the same quality as the nexus 5 i have now.
Has anyone else bought the ones from eBay and their experience of having a look at the display quality.
I saw this one on eBay. Item number 111454293031
Please let me know if i should go ahead of this screen replacement as i can do all the DIY transfer my current nexus 5 components to the new screen and frame housing. Just want the screen and frame in one unit as i don't want to go deep on this one like gluing and using heatgun.
Thanks

And this is the new replacement screen
So finally my phone fell down and cracked the screen. Figured I should go and replace it straight away.
Mi Mix 3 isn't officially available in my country (Malaysia), so have to go with aftermarket "original" parts as claimed by the repairer.
Replaced, and it worked...... for less than a day. the screen turned black soon after.
But strange thing is, if I hold the power button and reboot the phone, the MI logo came up, indicating the screen works - but not in MIUI. Fastboot screen, recovery are working.
What can I do? Should I flash it from China ROM to Global and mayyyyybe it will work? Ugh so annoying
Check for loose or damaged connectors.
Are the battery and its connection good?
Try reflashing to same firmware version.
It's possible the mobo was damaged by the impact or G loading it experienced. BGA chipsets are intolerant of board flexing and a high impact can fracture solder joints including the hidden BGA ones.

Very sad

Just got a Huawei mate xs 512g blue with box and everything but the one who had it before removed the og screen protector , i ordered a alien screen protector 3d gel something... But luck was not on my side , dropped it yesterday on the house stairs , some fine sand managed to kill a group of pixels in the bottom right corner and with this the digitizer i think is affected since i have ghost touch and 15% of the left side is non responsive to touch..... 740£ to fit a screen is not worth it since i paid 650£ for the phone itself.... I've been to some repair centre that only made me hear what i did not want to hear meaning all said a new oled .... Next week i should be in Vietnam for 30 days... I will try to find someone who can repair it there for less...or anyone has a link for a og oled panel ?
Thank you for reading !
The damage itself.... Not bothering me ....but folded the phone is unusable due to ghosting , unfolded no ghost touch just a part not working.... Not responding to touch
