Hi, I debloat my S22 Ultra following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/noroot-samsung-galaxy-one-ui-optimization-guide.4376755/
Can someone help me get a fully functional DEX mode? I got it working without the bottom bar (with the clock, notifications, etc.) by enabling these packages:
com.sec.android.app.dexonpc
com.sec.android.desktopmode.uiservice
com.sec.android.app.desktoplauncher
com.samsung.desktopsystemui
FACM
Anyone know how to get the bottom bar back?
You're missing one... but this N10+ is running on Pie, there may be more.

You probably have one for wifi Dex that I don't... otherwise almost identical, except for the missing one.

where you able to find the one for the bottom bar? I am missing it too.
EDIT: I have found the solution. Do not disable nor uninstall the following package:
com.samsung.android.honeyboard
It's the Samsung Keyboard. If you uninstall that and want to use DEX you will lose the taskbar. A note should be added in the debloat list warning that.
I installed back the keyboard and Dex is working perfectly now.
Everyone should create their own debloat list and do so by removing small amounts at a time. That way it's easy to backtrack and make corrections.
If you're using ADBAppControl I suggest using the Debloat Wizard and start at the Safe range. Add or remove items from there.
Using someone else's list is usually a recipe for disaster.

Does anyone know where to get the extended power control widget I've seen in a few people's screen shot?
It has seven toggles instead of 5 I think. I saw one in the market but it's not the same as the one I'm looking for.
bump........
U mean switch pro ?

Nice, thanks. Do you know if there are any transparent or cyan colored versions out there?
EDIT: Actually the one I want is on post 2 of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=692609
... ideally with cyan colored dots.
It already comes with 3 versions, semi-transparent/completely transparente/original. U can always theme it ur self Unzip, change images and resign. Or if u got windows u can use this apktool script i made today...makes modifying apk's easier.
Here
Its a batch file so windows only.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/com.extendedcontrols
Here is link for extended controls
Thanks guys. I think I like the no background version of Switch Pro. I have to learn how to modify these things so I can get cyan dots instead of green dots.
Its a png inside the apk. Use the tool to extract it. Then inside the out folder find the png, it'll b a green dot, modify it then select options 2,3...

i signed up for the appbrain website and chose extended controls. when i go to my phones app and i sync extended controls shows up but when i press "install" it takes me to the market and cant find the app. what am i doing wrong? thanks for any help
It means the application isn't available in your country's market.
Use MarketAccess to make the market believe you're from another country, eg the US
Extended Control is a protected app and won't show up on Froyo, well for some people running Froyo I suppose. You'll need to do this [MOD] Fix Protected Apps not Showing on FroYo
I had the same problem with the same app today. I did the push and was able to buy the app soon after.
I don't know if there is a thread already for this. Can anyone list the apps and bloatware that are safe to freeze using titanium backup on the stock rom...
Sent from my Land Line using xda premium
Download Scott's clean Rom, much easier then doing it yourself. Completely stock, debloated, tweaked, and nice mods if you want them.
Sent from my Cocaine White S3.

Thank you
Additional debloat!
A helpful tool I use to clear up space and make the system faster is an app called "DiskView", downloadable free from Play Store. It analyzes all partitions and lists directories/files and a percentage bar of how much space they're taking. With this I found a bunch of instructional how-to videos in the system/media/video/GuidedTour folder. Also, taking up some space are the hidden Voice Recognition language packs under /system/VODB. Delete all the language code folders you don't want. Also, this using like 10MB but also a privacy concern, there was a face recognition database under /system/lib. If you don't use the preloaded Swype keyboard, even after you uninstalled it, there's an extra database under /system/lib/libSwypeCore.so. Delete.
If you have a Galaxy Note, it might be worth noting that the S Note templates that you could never seem to delete can now be removed permanently. They actually use up a lot of space. First, delete the templates from your usual S Note folder on your SD card, obviously. Then navigate to /system/preload and /system/preloaddata and delete everything related to S Note in there. For me there was nothing other than S Note stuff. Should be the templates in one and a database in the other. Once you reboot, they'll never come back!
Enjoy!
<<< Please say thanks if I was of help! I am new to XDA! :good:

Guys I really need this. I am ex Samsung user so all samsung phones have this. I used to it. There are some apps on google play but they are not good at all. Can anyone do this? For dual sim support. If yes, I can share systemUI.apk. Thanks!
Open the notifications shade and click the right most button.

I dont think you understood what I want. That option is not so useful.
I know what you mean. AOSP has two separate tabs for notifications and quick toggles. Samsung uses an overlay called TouchWiz that, among other things, integrates these two tabs into one.
Sent from my Moto G
He mean this one form cyanogenmod.

Well, you can't remove any option on your Huawei device , unless you have root access, and even though that would be a pain because it require a solid knowledge on theming.
I'll suggest you to just ignores them or disable them if they aren't already.
Have a good day

Oh, great!
I was actually thinking about decompiling the settings.apk and find the specific element to make him disappear , then recompile the apk and install it to the system again. Bit your way us way more easier.
Cool that you happened to get things working
Can you guys let me know what these are? It is beyond me being paranoid, there are over 300 bloatware system apps on my phone that look fishy! Anyone? I don't know that much...I'm not gonna post all the oics...too many...

As I said I'm not an expert here, I have about 25 more pics but I didn't want to post them all right away, it felt obnoxious posting that many pics. Do all these look kosher? Moto power g7? I've attached all pics here below of all apps on the phone
just uninstall them with "adb shell pm uninstall --user 0" also most of the app that start with com.android.* and com.google.* are not bloatware and they are required to run your device properly
@darrinbts
Run
Code:
adb uninstall <name of package>
to uninstall an app/package
If the app/package is removed then you will see Success if not the return will be Failure
I get this message when I tried to enter my settings but I never created a work profile I don't even know how
I don't have computer access right now and I don't know which to uninstall, I don't really know what I'm doing except enough to know that I should not have 300 apps on my phone most of which I didn't install and I feel like I'm just not in full control of my device....I scan for malware but it's useless I believe the malware scan results are toyed with. Some kind of stage fright from what I have read.
