[CLOSED] Root Explorers not working on Magisk - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I wanted to change my boot animation but read and write access doesn't work and after click ok after it saying failed it Magisk says given (Example: Zarchiver) superuser rights but it still wont work

Did you try another app? Was there any logs?

There was no log and i tried like 5 apps

Ah. Is magisk up to date? Do other apps have Root?

Both Yes I got LP

Do the explorer apps think they have root?

Also, no magisk logs at all?

[Q] Question?

I have HTC sensation.
In my recovery mode he show me that is my HTC locked and S-ON but when i boot in android 4.0.3 and check with Root Check app he show me this message :
"Congratulations!
This device has root access!"
I just want to know if this is possible?
Some root methods take advantage of exploits and can gain root access without unlocking the bootloader - it's entirely possible, and desirable to many as they can retain warranty service with an intact bootlader.
Now, if you didn't run one of those methods, then it's likely an error.
Try running an app that requires root to work and see if it does.
And I'm sure you'll get more information by checking the device-specific forums.
I try to install and use root access app's like : titanium backup , auto menager memory , droidsail super app2sd and all works for me.
Congrats!!!

Root & Recovery for LOCKED BOOTLOADER ONLY 18.6.A.0.182 lollipop5.1.1
Which recovery does this use and by who? Also maybe you should include information+links on how to replace kinguser with supersu as kinguser does not give the same root access permissions as supersu does
I think you shouldn't post files without giving credits or asking for permissions...
And what's even more, there was already a KingRoot tutorial already over here, so repeating the threads is completely unnecessary.

Pointless thread with no credits to the original devs/ops . May be before you post anything else you should read the forum rules....

Well, if you new here, Welcome
Now, before you do anything, first read the rules of XDA so you don't get in trouble

Yes, it is necessary to ask for permissions AND give credits when using the work of another member.
You say you're new here, I suggest you read the forum rules again (especially Rule 12)
Thread closed as you violated Rule 12. Sorry.

(general) uninstalling of System apps on Android 6

Hello guys,
I moved yesterday to Android Marshmallow on my Htc one m8 with a customROM and I am just wondering, why I can't delete any system apps. I tried to Google the thing, but I get over and over advertisement and reviews about Android Marshmallow. Nothing that helps.
I tried to delete them with several tools and manually with a data explorer. Nothing worked. It seems like the system is restoring itself. Is there any way to "fix" my problem?
It seems like it's not a device-specific thing, so I've decided to ask in the general Q and A section.. I am sorry, if this wasn't correct.
Edit: I just saw an Android QA thread, so I believe, that this is the wrong forum. Seems like this thread can be deleted, I will post it again in the Android section. Sorry!
Thank for any help!

Mmmm
Can u xplain which apps were u tryng to uninstall and by what means?
And what error u getting?
Any error with permissions or smthing?
I don't think there's any way of data to get 'restored' by itself...
I think your system is Mounted to read only you need to change it to read/write
Download root explorer then install it!
Now navigate to /system
Open the system folder
Choose Mount R/W in the upper right corner
It will solve the issue!
Screenshot given below!
Hit the thanks if I helped u

[Completed] Need a proper Viper4Android Guide Galaxy s7

I've been browsing for hours and the top rated guides are absolutely confusing.
Move downloaded apk to system, okay elaborate?
Where in root browser is my download folder? Where is system folder?
Parameters:
I'm not gonna flash anything.
Looking for a guide where I don't have to hook up my phone to my pc.
Proper explanation as to why Viper4Android isn't working out of the box.
Why aren't the devs streamlining the product.
I know it's free but at least make it easy to install.
AGAIN I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT GOING TO FLASH.
I saw posts of the apk working without any of that.
Is there a way to force SELinux to permissive?
Commands, programs that will brute force SELinux to be permissive?

Did you look in the 8T Guides etc forum?
Look at this thread in that forum https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/11c21-kb2005-stock-boot.4461111/
And if you had read the pinned post in that forum you could have used option A.1.1 to get a copy yourself https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-root-and-keeping-root-options.4387977/

Read the instructions carefully - they walk you through the process step by step. If you get stuck on a specific step, ask for clarification, but quote the step you're having problems with.
