i have recieved today my M6 Pro plus 3
Android 12 (8GB+256GB) and 200x1200 screen
It works well, so far so good.....i will be trying to install in a few days.
I just plugged the unit to a power source to verify is working well.
Testing wifi, setting accounts, downloading apps....Android Auto works wireless (i was not expecting that)
i´ll play a little more before to installing it on my car

Fake Android 12.
These are FYT.
Yes, Android 10 in fact !
Just got one of those (actually selected the 2K screen as an option, not sure if it makes a difference... M700S model with 8GB). Will post my impressions once it arrives!
I got a 2k screen last year from yet another knockoff/renamed/noname something.
It does indeed have a MIPI 2k screen as well as 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
(tested with fake device tester)
that said, the high resolution plays havoc with apps (maps is soooo tiny).
Luckily, the latest Joying firmware for 2k screens corrected most of the issues, but still a couple of apps aren't optimized (gmaps, is the biggest pita there, can't see any street names from the driver's seat)

I used Purr to reduce the screen resolution. I had to do an ADB shell to grant it rights though as it doesn't have them out of the box.
I will recive my m6pro from medeke maybe next week. I will make a complete review when I will mount it on my car
To those who have it, how is the call quality? Is it as bad as all the other Chinese units?
I'm also intrested to see if the call quality issues people mentioned are improved in this unit.
I've spoken to mekede rep online and they say that the chip is now UIS7862 S and the issue was not related to mic lacking noise cancelling but to the internal BT 5.0. The UIS7862 S has internal BT 5.1 and they claim this will resolve the problem.
Not sure I believe this but interested in others thoughts.

The version of Bluetooth going from 5.0 to 5.1 will do nothing at all to improve the sound quality of a microphone.
Yes I completely agree, just mentioning the comment from the Mekede sales, I did point this out.
Me: For the call quality it is the microphone that causes bad call quality, people are disconnecting internal mike and using external mic but still the receiver of the call is not hearing clearly.
Sales: no friend, mic is for transfering the sound to people you are calling. If people got the internal BT, it is easy to get noise while calling and driving. so we always make external bt
Me: Yes that is the problem, people receiving the call from the device cannot hear the user clearly. Call volume is low and have a lot of noise interference.
Sales: you dont understand that friend, the main point is the internal BT.

That is not BT, but BS (if you know that abbreviation -> b*sh*t).
And there is no internal/external BT, but internal/external microphone. The problem was so far that the internal mic was not switched off. As the internal and external mic have a different resistance, this even caused interference and further sound degradation. In these new M6 pros you can switch off the internal microphone, as you are aware.
BT 5.1 supports multi-channel audio in comparison to 5.0, which is an improvement, but that has nothing to do with the microphone problem.
Are there any users of the m6pro that have tested out call quality and can comment?

what would people say is the best sounding (music - via headphones) windows mobile device.
most mobile phones are usually pretty crap, my TyTN wasn't great even with SRS, the Sedna isn't great either.
has anyone got any ideas?
i have a usually use a B&O Beosound 2 and use either the bundled A8 headphones or a pair of Westone UM2 in-ear earphones.
Don't like carrying two devices, so I'm selling the Sedna and have an upcoming upgrade. (Currently using a primitive K850i - nice camera though)
The Beosound 2 only has 2GB memory so that's not great too.
Do you reckon the Touch Diamond will have decent/better sound - it has an inbuilt 3.5mm adapter
or is that the Xperia X1? what would people recommend?
ideally a device with a good memory and a good camera too (so the X1 & diamond both fit)
i don't wanna carry an mp3 player and a phone/pocketPC.
i was tempted into treason... an iphone but tried (didn't buy) and didn't love it.
thanks, any help would be appreciated.
Off the point: the HTC Touch Pro seems almost identical to the Diamond, but with a memory card slot , a bit more RAM and is a few milimetres thicker? easy choice then right>

I wouldn't call these cameras good. If you really need a good(!) camera, get the Nokia N95 or N82. Incidentally, it's also an excellent multimedia phone for both A2DP and speaker usage. As far as wired(!) headphones usage is concerned, it can be a bit noisy with more sensitive headphones with lower volume levels; therefore, you might want to prefer either A2DP or speaker mode. The latter, incidentally, is simply unbeatable.

But it isn't plagued by the 4GB storage.

any of the devices could play very good... Just instal TCPMP and tune the equalizer very wel and you get very good quality out of whichever...
I had this problem until i took my time to really tune tcpmp..
bR
The Touch Diamond doesn't have a built-in 3.5mm adapter. But it still sounded really awesome (and looked really awesome) while watching music videos on Coreplayer (equalizer off) with the bundled stereo headset. Certainly sounded much better than Touch Dual.
Haven't gotten myself a 3.5mm adapter yet...so can't really tell how it sounds with higher-end earphones.
A2DP? it's crap but useful. neither of my wired earphones are noisy. without bragging they cost double almost any bluetooth A2DP headphones, and sound far better (the A2DP buzz...)
I had Motorola HT820 as soon as they were released (reliable), later bought Gear4 Bluphones (very light and small and in-ear) and both weren't great sounding, but good for the gym.
The HT820, as primitive now for me had the best range vs. Gear4 Bluphones or even Motorola S9.
indoors range was fine, outdoors it was crap with Gear4 Bluphones (weird???) as device (Hermes usually or K850i) was in pocket (that's only 3 feet!!!), honestly I could turn my head and sound would stop/stutter.
the headphones or device weren't faulty either.
speaker mode? where i come from that's for chavs... i could do without a speaker to be honest (except for call alerts)
good point about the 4gb limit on the Diamond - i use high bitrate mp3's so can't get many songs on and high-res pics are large in size too.
on my k850i with 4gb microSD i have about 350 mp3s (mostly 256 kbps) and around 1000 pics.
3.2 megapixel can be good with the right settibgs/lens etc.
the 5-megapixel k850i is probably the best camera avilable on a phone and it's not as good as a 4-megapixel digital camer, but is far better than a LG viewty 5-megapixel camera...
so the X1 camera seems likely to be better than Diamond (and K800i hade same spec - it was quite good).
I can confirm the X1 has a 3.5mm jack.
What about sound cards/drivers etc.?
or is this irrelevant?
The diamond has a 4gig limit? You guys sure? I mean, you can put an 8gig in the Touch Dual, so surely the Diamond has the same SDHC support?
And as for sound quality, if you're after sound quality and you've actually thought that B&O is good, I think you need your ears checking Honestly, B&O are masters in the art of dressing up mid-range gear in nice clothes and making them out to be high end. When they very definitely are not.
There isn't a mobile phone on the market that has truly decent sound quality. Some sound reasonable, but none are truly high fidelity playback kit.
i was using xda flame for the last 2 weeks ,i can say that the flame has a good sound quality ,it use the goforce 5500 to process the sound with srs to back it up and having 2 gig of internal memory.
B&O's good enough for me. Even if it is mid-range it's better than most.
I can't afford top-end really, being a student.
I acquired the B&O taste from my granddad. The Beosound 2 was a gift and the Beosound 9000 I also have I 'borrowed' from him (permanently). Best sound I've heard (at my/someone's home).
I even did a straight test between HQ mp3's and an ipod video and there was a great difference.
I'm not going to fork out £450 for a 2GB mp3 player, or £2000+ on a CD player!
I wouldn't recommend them unless they were cheap therefore, for me around £100 would be a decent price for a Beosound 2.
The damned thing doesn't even have a screen.
XDA flame looked promising, I remember but I kinda missed it and it was unavailable when I wanted it... the Nvidia 3D chip thing was exciting, let's hope they follow-up on upcoming devices.
Has anyone used B&O Serenata (it fetches <£500 even on ebay!!!)
It uses 'ICEpower' but so does thesamsung Soul, that seems a gimmick however.
Diamond has no SDHC...its built in mem only!

Dear All,
Do you know if there's any solution to record audio in high quality? I've googled a lot and searched the forums for weeks but didn't find any acceptable solution.
There are some apps on the Market advertising how great they are but every one of them has pretty poor quality comparing to my old Nokia E75 capabilities.
I also know that MIUI ROMs can do the job but I don't want to change my current ROM because of this (and I don't think if it's the only solution).
I have a rock band and I used to record our reharsals, but with Desire S I can't do it anymore... (and I've passed my E75 to my gf).
Every idea is much appreciated!
Cheers!
You say about how poor the quality is. I can't see that changing the ROM would make any real difference. Are you using the built-in microphone, or are you using an external one - as I would expect the quality to be far superior through a decnt external mic.

I'm using the built-in mic as I used the built in mic for my nokia. And I mentioned the ROM change because of this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1313487&highlight=audio+recording
I'd have a look online. The built-in mics are fairly well-known for being cr4p. Have a look at this test on the old Desire...

I was hoping that there is a sw solution for this. Thanks anyway!
I had bought this phone a month back. Noticed a few problems, so returned it. Thinking about buying again. Have the following problems been fixed with the nougat 7.0 ? :
1. Shaky gyroscope. Always shaking in VR
2. Low speaker volume
3. Bad sound quality through Bluetooth speakers ( I didn't get to the check the sound quality through headphones, please tell about that too)
4. Veering of in motion games to one side.
Thank you.

Maybe the device was at fault, but I haven't faced any of that while I was on emui 4.1.

I only got the shaky gyroscope :3
I see thanks. Yes the last problem was a fault sure. I thought the first three were universal since I saw those in reviews. I can't check it again, since I returned it. But shaky gyroscope was certain. N audio quality too. As I compared it with my SGSA. But it also had Viper4Android, so I guess it must be that. Was just thinking I should check if these were solved. I see. Well, That sounds good. But can you once check the gyro. U just need to download google cardboard app. Once the vr loads, it'll be a fox scenario, I guess. I got the phone. Accelerometer and sound are fine. Gyroscope is a little shaky. Not as much as before. But in the clash royale game, colours are awfully high contrast. Only in that. I checked Werewolf tycoon game. In that it seemed normal.

What is the software you have on the phone? Maybe need to update
I agree to your concern about the bluetooth sound quality. It's unbearable I was pairing with my bose soundlink mini 2 but the sound was awful. REDMI 1S (much cheaper device) gives out more decent sound than this device. I hope they fixed it before releasing the stable EMUI 5.0.
64GB
4GB RAM
I have the 4GB variant with EMUI 4.1 (Marshmallow) and can relate to the issues 1 and 2. Because of the shaky gyro, I replaced the phone thinking it might be a hardware issue. But the new device also had the same problem. Had talked to the customer care and service centre lot of times regarding this. Finally, they're asking for a recorded video that explains this issue. I just left it when I found that this device doesn't have a hardware gyroscope. Its an emulation of accelerometer and magnetometer. So VR apps are not gonna work properly for you, no matter how much they optimize the emulation algorithm.
The sound output from speakers are low. Even the headphone jack output is bad. Never tried a bluetooth headset though.
The veering to one side when playing games might be because of calibration problems because most games work fine for me. Even the ones using gyroscope I suppose.
Hi all,
My Phone :Redmi K20 Pro (Android 10, MIUI 11)
My BT Earphones : Soundcore Spirit X2 (bit .ly /39cIMH8)
My Friend's BT Earphones : Tagg Inferno (bit .ly /2vGCli5)
I'm hoping you guys have goggled the Specs of both the earphones. I personally feel Spirit X2 is a better product than the Inferno considering the Tech Specs.
I have done little research myself and came across these terms. Aptx, AptxHD, Aptx LL. My understanding is that, Aptx LL gives the least latency among the other codecs and to my surprise there are very few BT Earphones that come with Aptx LL Support. (sennheiser momentum TWS being one among such few)
My BT Earphones supports Aptx and my Friend's BT Earphones also supports Aptx. (only aptx in both cases) I Used to have Soundstream h2GO TWS. (Worthless Product with no Aptx)
These h2GO TWS (amzn. to/3dlJtBl) gave latency while playing Pubg Mobile and I thought it was normal. But when my friend said he was not experiencing such latency issue with his BT Earphones, I tested his BT Earphones with my phone and genuinely there wasn't any latency.
I bought Soundcore Spirit X2 under the presumption that they will give low latency (while playing Pubg) just like my friend's, since they come with Aptx Support. However my new BT Earphones (Spirit X2) is giving latency just like any other BT Earphone.
I tested many times. Infact I did most test runs an average techie person would do. (trying the pair over several phones, trying my friend's pair over several phones)
Tagg Inferno hadn't given latency on any phone that was compatible with aptx codec. But mine just sucked.
What I would like to know is - in what way his BT Earphones are different to mine? Why are his BT earphones not giving latency and mine giving latency while playing Pubg Mobile despite both having Aptx. Mine has better specs than his. (Bluetooth version.... and maybe few other)
I'm also attaching screenshots of the Specs.
One last thing, Tagg Inferno has this CSR Chipset Technology. Will that have any bearing on my Question? ?

I have Zenfone 6 and I will probably stay on it for quite a while because of no headphone jack and increase weight by 40 grams. I like what Asus have done here but I feel like I don't need an upgrade for now.

This is pretty much my only complaint about the ZF7 - besides the price maybe. As I need a new phone I don't have much of an option at the moment. There is no other phone fulfilling all my requirements and I don't see any (soon) upcoming phone doing it...
- Big flat screen without punch hole
- Good ROM support
- Big battery
- Good camera
- Headphone jack
- Stereo speakers
I guess I have to get some wireless earbuds in the future, although I don't really want to... Another 200 bucks out the window. I thought if they are going to kill the jack they would also announce some earbuds.
I recently made the switch to wireless earbuds, so it's not that big of a deal for me personally. The only gripe I have with this phone is how big and heavy it is. 230g. Wish they would have kept the size and weight of the Zenfone 6.
Other than that it seems like a very good phone. Not sure about the main camera sensor (IMX686), as it's used by cheaper phones like the Pocophone F2. Also for some reason reviewers who got the phone early can't show pics taken with this phone ? Sounds like the camera software isn't fully polished yet. Can't think of other reasons...
It is not a problem for me, as I mainly use bluetooth headset. Using wired headset is a hassle for me. But I understand this is such a deal breaker for a lot of other. I don't quite understand why they can't simply just keep it to cover as much user as they can. Just like they already put dedicated microsd slot, why not just go full and make the near-perfect phone with headphone jack, which can satisfy a lot of users. The phone is quite thick enough already, so space seems not to be big problem.

I have a lot of wired headphones, so I purchased a small/cheap USB-C to 3.5mm DAC/adapter from Amazon called a Clipthat (silly name).
Honestly, the cheap Clipthat sounds better than the headphone jack on my ZF6. I currently have both a ZF6 and ZF7Pro, at least until I get everything transferred over and the ZF7Pro setup to my taste.
Not an issue for me. Switched to Bluetooth earbuds a while back and being wireless has been the best decison ever! Only every now and then not being able to plug my phone in somewhere for audio has been every so slightly problematic, but not a deal breaker for me at all
No headphone jack doesn't bother me. I have bluetooth in my car and wireless earbuds. I can't remember the last time I used the headphone jack on my zenfone 6.
Sent from my ASUS_I01WDX using Tapatalk
No headphone jack is literally my only complaint for this phone.
Easy to unlock, rom support should be a breeze (Once it gets going). Super fast Full screen with no holes or notches, better selfie camera than any on the market. Microsd card support.
My friend bought a galaxy s20 and was very upset by the comparison of our geekbench scores since we both have the same SOC. Considering he paid $400 more for his phone and can't even use his hotspot without paying additional charges to his carrier.
Since my only downside I could find was the headphone jack, I went ahead and got the 7, and then bought a usb c to headphone adapter. I have not needed to plug my phone in during the day yet. At the end of my average day when I go to bed I am still around 15-20%.
This is pretty standard these days
