General Trade-In Issues - Google Pixel 7 Pro

Until today, I've been concerned that, having delivered two Pixel 5 trade-ins to my local Post Office on the morning of Tuesday, October, 18, USPS tracking showed that, since Thursday and Friday, respectively, of last week, they were stuck, "moving through the network", in Nashville, not yet out for delivery. Today, however, I received two emails from Google acknowledging receipt of the phones and their moving to the assessment stage of the trade-in process. The USPS tracking status hasn't changed, however.

Same thing here but the wife got a email from Google this morning saying the $$ for the trade in are being credited to my payment method. I think I had the same thing happen a few years ago trading a phone in to Google.

My two Pixel 6 Pros were stuck "Moving through Network" since early morning Friday, October 21st. They still both show that status with USPS tracking, but yesterday I got an email that the one had arrived, and the Google Store does show that they are accessing it. The second one, as of this morning, still hadn't arrived.
I've noticed with trade-ins that it's similar to some (not all) Amazon returns I've made. They give me a "shipping label", and have me drop it off at the post office. Then the tracking shows them not really going anywhere but handed off (I forget the exact terminology they use). It's like the post office doesn't really ship (or in the case of our phone trade-ins, deliver) in a normal fashion despite them looking like they do. As if the post office is just some central drop-off point. In Amazon return cases, I typically get an acknowledgment of the return is complete within 24 hours, but these device trade-ins are harrowing.
I chose trade-in instead of selling on Swappa because I figured the selling price of them would go down tremendously with all the people upgrading - and I believe I've confirmed it did happen that way.

Whatever the Swappa prices were pre-launch, now they're much less than Google offered. Both our Pixel 5s are in good condition--having always lived in cases and had screen protectors. Google offered (up to $400). If they come through, that looks to be c. $200 more than one could get selling on Swappa.

looks like you faired better than me. my trade in is "in transit" from that Nashville hub and Google says they don't have it. it's been over a week. it's making me nervous. it's a Galaxy Note20 Ultra. if they lose it I basically lost over $500

I hope yours is acknowledged arrived at Google very soon. Mine was acknowledged arrived at Google five days (yesterday) after the first day that the tracking said "Moving through network" in or around Nashville. My refund got credited this evening.
This morning my wife's phone hadn't arrived at Google yet, but it has now, thankfully.
Both post office tracking still say "Moving through network". Crazy.

Better than mine lol... Shows it was delivered on the 24th and my trade-in status shows still waiting for device. USPS was slow on delivering the kit as well and delayed the process even further. I hope by next week they acknowledge receiving the device and I don't have to contact Google Support.

Dropped mine off at usps on the 18th and still nothing.
It’s been in Nashville over a week now.
Says..
Moving Through Network
In Transit, Arriving Late
So you’re not alone, I’ve got 700 bucks riding on this.

In the UK i could not find a Post Office that could send my trade in kit back to Google so i gave up and ended up taking my Pixel 6 Pro to CEX.

It took like 10 days and they finally got my Pixel 4a and I got $300 for it which I was happy because I got it on sale for that much originally. Lol...

I'm in the same boat. My Pixel 6 Pro has been in transit from the Nashville hub since the 21st as well. They offered me $600 trade in value. I did some searching and from what others have said Google will still give the trade in value they assesed as long as you have proof the phone was shipped. They will have to do a lost mail claim with USPS and that takes around 10 days. Reading that makes me fill a little better but I'm still nervous as hell.

well then, got an email just now from Google. they have it but usps tracking still says in transit.

I just received an email from Google telling me that one of the two Pixel 5s mailed to them as trade-ins has been valued at the full estimated amount of $400. I still await word on the second phone.

In the grand scheme of all things shipping...USPS is far behind UPS, and FedEx, here in the USA IMO.

USPS still shows both my traded-in phones moving through the network. Meanwhile, Google has emailed acknowledgments that it has received both and assessed and refunded the full amount estimated on one of them.

I'm from Italy and have preordered it from handtec.co.uk; last week they said it would be available since 14 september, but yesterday they told me it will be available in the end of this week/monday 21 (the same date on clove.co.uk).
I've preordered a white/bamboo one. I can't wait for it!
The price seems to be wrong, £399 for 32GB? Standard 32GB pre-order on Clove is 350.
I thought it should be 350 for 32GB (+35 for 64GB)
Ordered mine too Black front with Bambo back.
Also a bit surprised by the £399 for the base model and 9th October delivery date...

It was only assumed that it would be £360,
Places like clove & hantec listed it for 359.99 so everyone assumed it would be that on motomaker,
However i see no issue paying the extra £30 to have it customized.

I'm torn between ordering the bamboo at handtec or the normal black one at amazon. Last year a friend had to change his bamboo Moto x twice (back kept coming off). Don't know how easy would be an exchange at handtec.

I'd go through moto, advanced replacement with deposit.
The price seems very high. The difference between Motomaker US and the ones in Europe I checked (UK and Germany) is about 150-200€
At that price-range you can buy phones like LG G4. One of the main reasons I was looking at Moto X was its low price and it seems that in Europe that is not true.
wow what a price increase compared to other countries. Rip off UK strikes again. I knew I should have taken the 1+2 invite I received. No chance I will be buying this phone anymore, not when a brand new LG G4 can be had for £330
Gutted really, I will be giving the Style a miss. Config I wanted below but the price is holding me back.
Total£454.00
Base Price£399.00
Back - Bamboo Wood £20.00
Memory - 64GB £35.00
Will possibly go for the Nexus
My order was already showing as built and complete last night. I also spoke to customer services and they say it should arrive much sooner then the 9th October. Really hoping it will ship out today for delivery early next week.

I spoke to Moto chat and they disappointingly said the following:
I have checked the order details, everything is looking fine with the order, once the mobile is shipped you will receive an email with the tracking details. We have standard shipment method so it will be 7 to 10 days. However as the Moto X Style is in preorder state only you can expect the mobile by mentioned expected date.
The order has been received by the fulfillment centre, we are unable to confirm if it is build and ready or not however once the mobile shipped from fulfillment centre you will receive an email with the tracking details.
Oh well, guess I wait for the email!!

My experience with Oneplus customer support so far.

I had to send my OP6 back to OP as I had an issue with the camera as seen in these photos

After them asking me loads of questions over a few emails - which is not a good sign to start with - they eventually agreed to exchange the phone.
They arranged a courier and my phone was picked up Monday and they received it Tuesday and.......that's it. I have quite literally not heard anything back from them in 3 days. No update to say what's going on, it just says they are "inspecting" my phone.
Considering I'd only had my phone 5 days when I returned it I'd say this is pretty poor customer service. I would have been better just saying I wanted to return it for a refund and then just buying another one.
Lmao

Same with me. Had the phone less than 24 hours when my screen stopped working. Got a shipping label last weekend, sent it in Monday morning, delivered 9 am Tuesday. They said the entire replacement process, including shipping would take maximum 3-7 business days. Specifically, inspection would take 2 business days from delivery. I requested an update on Thursday (2 business days from delivery) and they said they've requested an update on the inspection, which would take another 24-48 hours from that point. Okay..
I finally got an update from them on Friday. They had received my phone back from whoever repaired it but now I have to wait for them to send it back to me which they won't do until Monday at least.
Did you say "repaired it?" That's unacceptable, ypu should get a brand new replacement. I had similar issue with my previous Samsung S8+. They sent me the new phone before even receiving the faulty one. OnePlus can do better than this. So technically your phone is now a refurbished phone

I agree. Old statement of, "Not asking=NO" still stands true. Good for you to be persistent and getting rewarded with a new phone?
I complained about my tempered glass protector not sticking properly and they sent me a free replacement out even though I bought it through O2 all I had to do was show them pic of proof of purchase and boom!! arrived in days , turns out it was just not square on the screen and rubbing on the case once I re aplied it was fine , oops [emoji849] oh well brand new spare ! I contacted them back today after 2 days, they again asked for 1-2 days to receive a response from the service center. Really, it takes them 4 business days for a simple status update from the service center? This is really devolving into a sad exercise in patience.
terrible customer support
Pasting this from a new thread I created...
Oneplus customer support said in regards to my files being randomly deleted, "You should just backup your stuff with google drive". Is that really the solution? Just expect my files to be erased and have to recover from backup after each reboot? Most of the customer support people never understand my problems that I am trying to tell them and I can hardly understand them either. Sorry for ranting a bit. I was excited to get rid of my galaxy s7 and try something new that I was told has good rom support and little no bloat on stock ROM, but I've been very disappointed. I guess after seeing their customer support is partnered with Acer it makes sense.
Yes, there customer support is awful and I would avoid buying any of their products.
My phone developed a faulty usb-c port. They offered a repair free of charge. Phone picked up by UPS on Monday and returned fully repaired on the following Friday with updated software. They didn't mind that bootloader was unlocked and that it was rooted. I just had to unlock bootloader again when it arrived back.

I had an issue with my OnePlus 6 as well, the audio output in the headphone jack was not okay (less bass and bad sound quality), so I contacted Amazon and they took my complaint and said the phone will be replaced with no issues, they told me that an engineer will come at my address the next day to troubleshoot my phone and see if it is fixable or not, and if not he'll make a report and confirm is "unfixable". Funny thing is, the engineer didn't even come at my place and called me up saying, "tell the Amazon customer support I had come and troubleshooted your phone. I'll send you the report on WhatsApp". So two hours after the engineer's call, I called up Amazon saying he came at my place. They sent me a replacement the next day and my phone got replaced.
Forgot about this post!
From them collecting my phone it took just over a week to get it back. But they sent me a new phone.
Some people would say this is good service but I don't think it is. As I'd only had the phone a few days I think they should have done a straight swap. If I didn't have a spare phone lying around then I would have been without a phone for this period.

I too received a faulty tempered glass and I sent them pictures of it not sticking properly.
I have been following up with for 21 days now.
They first promised to deliver the tempered glass on June 25th but when I called they said it is out of stock (when it is clearly in stock on their website).
Then they said they will deliver on Sat (today) and when I called they said I will receive a PHONE CALL from their senior today.
It is almost half day gone and there has been NO PHONE call yet.

Pixel 3 XL Indian Thread

Post details on best offer available in India for Pixel 3XL. Shipping date etc.
Does flipkart offer Rs 10K discount in total?
Is the preorder Rs 5000 off on hdfc card on top of the Rs 5k instant discount from HDFC card for Big billion days?
The preorder offer of Rs 5000 is mentioned below.
https://www.flipkart.com/google-pix...er=sp_browse_announcement_search.flipkart.com
Anyone got clarity?
Can't believe how exorbitantly they have priced these 2 phones! Have they forgotten last year's experience when they were forced to reduce the price within a couple of months? And all those who had pre-booked it and bought Pixel 2/XL at launch were left cursing Google.
It's a wrong idea to look for best offers and preorder offers at present . Wait for a month or so. Price will collapse.
Well. The Rupee is almost 15% weaker. The custom duty has been increased.
Samsung get price it lower because they make phones in India and don't have to pay the 20% custom duty.
It's expensive, but its only going to get worse with the Rupee unlikely to get stronger anytime soon.

It's not just about rupee losing its value & custom duties. It's also largely about boosting poor sales & holiday season sales especially in online platforms like FK & Amazon.
When sales went down the drain , Pixel 2 & 2 XL got huge price cuts last year during this end of the year holiday season.
iPhone X, XS, XS Max and predecessors(except for a few yesteryear models) don't get assembled/manufactured out here either but look at Big discounts at present in those platforms even when rupee is at it's lowest value. :good:
Its 5K discount with Hdfc card right now. The price is still too high. Its not worth that price in my opinion. I can almost buy two one plus 6T for this price.
I am gonna wait till prices come down to more realistic levels or try to get it from US.
Ok so this only pertains to those who had purchased Pixel 2 / XL last year from Flipkart and had purchased the buyback guarantee from them.
You will be getting an additional 7k discount on the assured value.
For example - I had purchased a Just Black P2XL 128Gb for 82k. The current buyback value stands at INR 32800.
With the additional 7k, I am getting INR 39,800 discount for trading in my Pixel 2 XL. Add 5k Instant discount from HDFC and all Pixel 3 XL is gonna cost me is INR 38200 (INR 47200 for 128Gb) which I feel is a pretty good deal.

Although you might argue that Pixel 3 isn't much of an upgrade compared to Pixel 2, the choice is yours.
Also If you get the buyback guarantee this year, you can get 46k discount on the next Pixel
And preordered Just Black 128 Gb.
Total costs around 48k after all discounts, buybacks. Also opted for the buyback guarantee @199

Will I get paid out of warrant service in India for pixel phone purchased from Europe /US? Hope I can service my device if something happens and that they won't reject any kind of repair/service saying its bought from outside India. Has anyone tried this for Pixel 2?

The estimated shipping date changed from 31 Oct to 1 Nov today afternoon. The estimated delivery date still states 1 Nov. So hoping for the best.
Mine just shipped from Mumbai. Since I too am located in Mumbai, I should certainly have the phone in hand tomorrow.

There was a good tradition to create waiting rooms for Nexus phones, so I thought maybe we should do one for Pixel 3. To keep all posts related to shipment and waiting in one place.
I ordered mine right after they went live and got "Shipment by 10/17/2018" and delivery by 17-19 of October. And I'm switching from Nexus 6 (not p!) so I'm pretty excited about new device.
Every one who ordered this, I hope, great phone is welcome here.
[UPDATE 10/13/2018] First batch seems to be prepared for shipment. Folks who ordered right after the presentation event got order status updates: now it's impossible to change shipment address and cancel order.
I ordered mine yesterday from Verizon along w/ an Otterbox Defender (screenless). Also ordered a Moment case with 2 lenses. Shipping says it is on the 18th on my Verizon app.
Made the mistake of going with a Note 8 last year and now back on Team Pixel. Can't wait for my 3XL. In Canada so it'll be Nov 2-5 for me
After pondering for hours, I finally decided to pull the trigger. Doing so may have delayed my shipment a couple of days
Shipment by Oct 18th. Delivery between Oct 23-24. Hopefully no issues! Last time I sent my device back twice due to screen burn in.
I decided to pre-order the Pixel 3 XL 128 Black from VZW says ill get it by the 18th. Still on the fence about it though may end up canceling it if i happen to see on in person still on the fence about that notch, i got my wife an iPhone XS Max and the notch is not terrible but I've seen pictures of the Pixel next to an XS Max and not sure how i feel about it but cant really tell from just looking at pics, hard to decide if i should just keep rocking my Pixel 2 XL lol.
I've been around for the "waiting" threads of the Nexus 4 Limbo ( I was one of the early orders that got lost when the servers crashed ), the frustrating roll-of-the-dice hell that was ordering a Nexus 6, the much improved (but still occasionally frustrating) launch of the Pixel XL, and now, the smoothest launch so far (knock wood) with the 3XL.
3XL 128 Black Unlocked
Google Store
Ordered: 10/9 @ 11:55 am EST
Ships by: 10/17
Delivered By: 10/18 - 10/19
Damn didn't jump on this soon enough. Got an arrival date of the 23rd. XL 128 Just black.
Ordered a 64 GB just black 3 xl. Delivered by the 19th-22nd. I live about 4 hours from the Illinois warehouse (St Louis), so I'm expecting it next Thursday to Friday. I'm happy they're shipping these out a week closer to the pre-order opening date.
I just hope there is chatter about the tailwind speed of the planes leaving the manufacturing city again.
October 22 but I'll be out of the country.
Hope they ship this thing earlier so I can get it the week of 19th but doubt it.
Ahhh, the annual Nexus/Pixel Lounge thread - the most wonderful time of the year!
Pixel 3 XL 64GB in white. Ordered at 10:58 CDT. When I ordered it said "ships the 17th". Expecting delivery the 19th. Can't wait!
EDIT: I ordered it with the Pixel Stand. Hopefully, this mistake(?) does not hold up my order.

128GB white XL
Edit: And thanks, OP (@razviar). Thought that the yearly shipping thread tradition was dead.

I didn't see any other shipping methods. Maybe because im in California everything is overnight anyway
?
I ordered Pixel and Pixel Case in two separate orders. So for now status of phone isn't changed (I still see the option to cancel or edit order). Case is not editable already, but was not shipped. Both cases delivery is set by 23 - 25 Oct
Ordered at launch and my order says delivery by Oct 18 – 19
I ordered it October 9th @ 5:21 pm and have an arrival date of early to mid november (for the second phone). Booooooourns.
ordered mine 128g black
ordered at launch says delivery 18-19
I ordered while event was still going on... Had do delivery date of 18-19 then realized that I didn't get option to add care protection, tried calling Google order support to add it to my order, but was told I couldn't add it and that I had to cancel my order and place a new order.
Well that messed everything up and new order with protection changed my delivery date to 22-23 so I called back and complained about inconvenience of having to wait longer, so they gave me a $50 store credit to use towards new purchase.
So now I'm getting Pixel 3 XL 128 and protection plan for $50 bucks cheaper but waiting 3 more days

Did you purchase the OnePlus 7 Pro at Launch?

Who purchased a OnePlus 7 Pro direct from OnePlus today. I got mine...12GB Nebula Blue.
How about you?
Just did it on OP.com, same as yours.
Yup just ordered blue
Ordered a 8GB/256GB Version in Nebula Blue, looking forward to next week when I'll receive it. Gonna be a huge upgrade to my Nexus 6P
I got the grey 8/256. I really would have loved to get the 12gb version, but the blue isn't doing it for me.
I ordered the 8/256 blue the second it went on sale in Canada
I've ordered 12GB version on 15th launch date. Waiting for it in Lithuania.
Got the 12/256 this is going to be my first new phone in years I have been rocking the original pixel XL since it came out

That's really odd. They ship phones in the USA from like industrial City CA. So how that is shipping from NJ to CA doesn't make any sense. I live just south of Philly and my OnePlus 5 or 6 both came from there.
So I bought the 12gb today at 10:02am lol. Hopefully it ships quick and not delayed. Sale days prior were Tuesdays and got the phone on Friday each time
They better not leave the package on the doorstep if I'm not home!! If shipping to Canada, what courier would they use?
Ordered my as soon as they went on sale. Grey 8gb/256. Would liked to have gotten the 12gb but do not like the blue. Delivers 5/21 via good old Fedex. They always deliver very late in the day to my work.

yep
I just got an email from Oneplus that the 12GB blue one I ordered this morning has shipped already. Fedex only shows the order info received so far.
Just got mine

I pre-ordered it and picked it up at one of those retail store chains. Love it so far. The screen seems to be a bit too big for me, bit it's also the phone's best feature.

It is a bit odd. I asked about shipping locations on another thread and a person on the west coast said phones they bought from Oneplus in the past shipped from the west coast. Yes, City of Industry is a huge shipping hub.

I went with the expedited shipping for $9.99 as I have no patience when it comes to getting new toys. I am glad I did since it is coming all the way across the country. I also shipped to my work since I thought (don't know for sure) that a signature will be required. Tuesday arrival isn't too bad. Sometimes I get lucky and receive things a day early when I have them shipped to work.
Assuming your phone comes from New Jersey also, it probably wouldn't get to you any faster with expedited since you are so close to New Jersey.
At NY pop-up
Bought the 8/256 at the NY pop-up event. Ordered the 12/256 this morning at 10est... Loving this phone...
I finally decided i would pull the trigger on one after going back and forth then saw almond not available and when it is only in 8gb.
Every year one plus always seems to do something to put me off buying lol.
Why not release all colours in all formats at launch, its not that complicated!
