The screen refresh rate drops when watching videos on YouTube. This creates a general feeling of slowdown on the phone. there is nothing like this in the previous version, but when you upgrade to the new version, this problem appears. you can see in the video.

Weirdest issue I've encountered on my phone. Since about 3 months ago, certain Netflix videos on my Pixel 3 (latest Android) force the brightness to the max and u am unable to reduce it at all.
I can't find anyone out there who has reported this issue, but it means I can't watch any of these new Netflix shows at night in bed, because they're too bright!
Anyone?
Are you watching HDR content if so you're probably out of luck.
Hi guys just a question my gf has the iphone 11 Pro max and I have the note 10 plus but when watching hdr content the iphone gets a lot brighter then my note 10.
I've tried playing around with the settings and have high performance selected just the iphone gets brighter during youtube playback and just seems a bit brighter in general
Weird thing is when I go into youtube and select full screen it goes a little brighter when I go back to normal size screen just for a split second ?
Thanks
Anyone encounter the issue of the screen flickering when viewing Insta stories and Facebook videos? It occurs randomly and I read somewhere that it is due to the screen switching between the 90hz and 60hz refresh rate. If that is the case is it possible to prevent this switching of the refresh rate?

I've noticed it but this device does not have a 90hz screen only 60 so that theory doesn't apply.

This appears to be an issue with the Android 11 update. A quick Google search indicates this happened in the 4a after users upgraded to 11.

Hello!
I have one annoying trait about the Twitch app. When I watch a live stream at 480p (30fps), the refresh rate goes down to 30hz. It should be so, but after a couple of seconds fps starts to fall (18-25fps) and the picture becomes twitchy. As soon as I press and start keeping my finger on the screen, the picture and fps become stable (fps 30, refresh rate rises to 120). This issue was only noticed on the Twitch app. It's worth noting that I'm using a modified version of the app (nopbreak). But the problem was also on the original Twitch with Google play (Only there it was necessary to wait +/- 30 seconds to start lagging.) Do you have the same lags?
Looks fps and refresh rate using Power Monitor in "developer settings".
P.S. Sorry for google translate
same, frame drops are so annoying even for just a second even millisecond hurts
i guess its just on twitch's end , nothing we can do about it
Hello, I recently discovered the SetEdit app. I didn't use it yet because I'm trying to understand how it works first, what permission needs and what values can be added/modified and which can't.
Seeing some videos and reading the few things I could find about it online I started wondering if it was possible to add to this phone the option to lower the refresh rate when displaying a static image like most phones with high refresh rate displays can.
I know the Edge 30 Pro switches to 48Hz while viewing the AOD. So ideally I would set it to lower the refresh rate to 48Hz when viewing static content and pick back up once I touch the display.
Do you know if there's a line I could add that might make it work? Do I need to do any further modifications to the phone to modify the "system table"?
I'm still on Android 12 on the device and it's mostly an AOSP ROM with some additions, nothing too crazy.
I would've post this on the main forum for the phone, but it's pretty much dead and, for now, it's basically just me constantly posting about the issues with the Android 13 update I gather from other parts of the internet.
Thanks!
Have you tried the Galaxy MaxHz app? Although it's mainly designed for Samsung phones, it also works on the 30 Pro. You can adjust it so that the screen refreshes as low as 48hz when you're not using it. Worst part is that you have to pay for premium go have everything enabled, but it's less than 2 bucks and it's completely worth it imo. It works on Android 13, too.
