Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone knows how to delete MY Sounds ringtone entries as I've duplicated mp3s. Also could anyone recommend a gallery app as I really don't like Google photos. Thank you if anyone can answer either question it would be much appreciated
I've been using Fstop for a few years, I really like it. I'm sure people still use Quickpic but I grew out of that.

Ironically, Google grew out of QuickPic. It's only 32-bit so not supported on the Pixel 7 series. Being a former QuickPic user, I'll have to check out Fstop.

Oh thats funny. I guess they really gave up on that app huh.
What's wrong with the Google photos app and why are these other two apps better?
Open your files app, and go to internal storage > Notifications and your personal tones should be in there for you to delete or keep. There should also be a folder named "ringtones" that may have some personal stuff of yours.

I'm looking for a .apk Manager.
Not for one on my phone, or to organize the apps on my phone.
What I'm looking for is a Windows application, Win7 64bit compatible, that will organize my 4.7gb worth of .apk's i have on my computer. Ideally, automatically detecting version numbers, and removing old versions of the same app etc.
Good idea, I just use appbrain on my phone.
ps: change the title to [REQ] as there is no app in here.
Sounds like someone had fun downloading a lot of apps?

Ahh yes, i should have had it [REQ] vs [APP], you are right. I cannot find a way to change the thread title tho, or i would happily.

<smirk> links are not allowed on here for that sort of thing, but sufficed to say, i use two websites to <cough> obtain <cough> my apps.
Of that 4.7gb of .apk's I'm sure at least 30-40% of that (hell quite possibly more) is outdated versions. Just too much hassle to manually sort through them all.

Hi guys,
Does anyone know of an Android version of the type of App that allows you to make a list of apps that you are planning to buy, then notifies you of any price changes etc? There seems to be loads of options for this on iOS but I have not seen any on Android. The only one I ever found did not show 99% of the Market and seemed to be American.
I would love to be able to log a list of games I am interested in so that I don't forget to buy them when I have money available for games! Notifications of price changes aren't too important but would be nice - the main thing is not forgetting apps I am interested in.
I've got everything crossed one of you knows of such an app
Thanks!
First, this should be in the Q/A section, in my opinion.
Second, the only thing I've found REMOTELY similar to appshopper on Android is the website www.appbrain.com. I'm not sure if they have an app though.
EDIT: Actually they do have an app, this should be it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...vbS5hcHBzcG90LnN3aXNzY29kZW1vbmtleXMuYXBwcyJd
Bear in mind that Android market is not as neatly organized as Apple's AppStore so there is a huge amount of crap that pops out when you search for a concrete title.
I know iOS has that too, but at least Apple cuts SOME of that crap so you are not bothered with wallpapers and such stupid junk. Anyway, I'm not bashing at Android, I think as an Xperia Play user I can say I'm quite happy with what's on offer.
I just wish more iOS developers would consider it worthwhile to port their games.
Sorry for the rant
'Thanked' for your quick reply! That's brilliant, I'll download Appbrain and check it out.
Sorry for posting in the wrong section - this is the only one I use. Mods feel free to move this if need be.
Seems like a good app but unfortunately no 'favourites' or similar list to remember what you want to install. Any other ideas guys?
I've just discovered 'Best Apps Market' that lets you build a wish list of apps you are interested in. Looks good so far, worth picking up if you have been after what the OP describes. Please Thank me if you grab this!
I'm also looking for this. App Brain looked okay, but there's not way I'm creating an account with my Gmail or FB credentials.

Did you try AppSales?
AppZapp Beta
You could try AppZapp beta (search for it on Google Play, sorry I can't add links yet).
It's one of the better ones available for iOS devices but it looks like they're making it for Android now too!

A app that Backs up your SMS/MMS to your SDCARD(alternatively, maybe a app that saves them there in the first place?)
And also Deletes the text messages it backed up.
I've seen a few apps that you set on a schedule to auto-backup texts, but none have the feature to auto delete after the backup.
And I don't see the point of installing 2 apps to make this work(trying to keep my Internal Size down due to cheap a** manufacture not putting in a decent size memory).

Hi cheetah, not sure bout ideas, but I'm interested in learning about Java and I'm a complete noob. (I don't know anything about Java) and I'm not sure if u would be that kind to teach me.
P.S. idea? Let's go for... a multiwindow app (with or without root, for AOSP and other phones.)
Hi there!
As many of you already noticed, the new Lollipop's Photos app doesn't work without Google+.
For many of you will be not a big deal, but for me and may be others too, it's really not god.
In my case I don't need or use Google+ and for worse, it takes a lot of CPU power.
The question is if there is a way or workaround to make the Photo app work without Google+?
Greetings!

No, it doesn't.

Ooop. I see now. Looks to me like the only way is to have it installed just sign out of both apps within settings. Sorry, if I had paid more attention I would have seen that you wanted the app completely gone.

Hey, no worries!
I've tried to use the old Gallery app from KK which actually works without Google+. It shows the photos but the editor doesn't work.
So, the way I see it, Google is forcing people to use Google+...

I think you are right about that. I personally use google+ so it doesn't affect me really but I can see the frustration... I wonder if they are planning a redesigned gallery app?

That would be great!!
Try Piktures on Google Play, nice piece of sw
The old Gallery app made my Picasa albums available on my phone. The only way to get this functionality back was to switch to Google+ and the Photos app. So I made the switch. I just didn't set up anything in Google+ and turned off all notifications.

It seems to be a nice software, bur if you want to edit a photo, it takes you directly to the Photos app.
Not good for me.
Grazie ancora!

You still need to have Google+ installed, isn't that right?
Install Quick Pic its a good gallery app,to edit and go crazy install Pixlr Express.
I never used stock Gallery since we cannot hide/exclude folders.

Oh sorry, didn't think about editing - because I always use Aviary for it (and I suggest it to you too, especially now that are giving every single add-on iAP for free!).
It takes you directly to Photos because you have only that app to edit pictures (I suppose), in my situation (I froze G+ and Photos) when I try to edit a picture it opens automatically Aviary.
Hope this can help, prego!

You need G+ and Photos to see photos and edit them, I replaced both with Piktures and Aviary And trust me, every other editing app has more feature than the stock one (Aviary, Pixlr express, PS, etc)!

Hey everyone! I have a problem with every N rom i've tried, that in some app like google photos, the default wallpaper picker, and the inbuilt file manager, lot of my camera pictures (from a specific date), and some of my wallpaper folders doesn't show up. But in other apps like totalcommander or Quickpic they are there. Do you guys have any ideas what's causing this? On MM roms everything works fine, and i haven't read anything like this from other users. I would appreciate any help or idea

If i snap a pic now its gona be there, but if i change to a different N rom or just do a clean flash, then the last photos the apps gonna show, those will be the ones i took in april. And with other wallpaper directories, the half of them are there but the other half is missing.

Are your photos dependent on Google Photos? Maybe they're in the cloud and can be accessed on another device.
Also, use a root file manager to search your device for all *.jpg.
