AFAIK you can't directly change the native browser ... at least on a stock ROM.
But you can install an alternative browser and set it as default browser.
After installing a new browser, click on a link (URL). There should be a popup dialog asking which browser to use to open the web link.
If you select the browser you prefer and click "Always", this browser will be set as default browser in your system.
More help can only be provided if you tell me more about your device and the firmware/ROM you are running on ATM.
Without this information, you may post in the General discussion > Questions and Answers forum.

As I said ... I need more information to give you more/better advices.
I was speaking about stock firmware ... not custom firmware which you are "cooking" yourself.
ATM you haven't provided what's your device, what's your rom, what you want to do exactly etc.
As I don't want to "guess" please provide more information.

Actually i have to run multiple videos simultaneously in android webview. but i am only able to run it on android 4.4(kit kat) , below this i can not run multiple videos simultaneously(specially in 4.2).
So my question is:
Is I can use other webview or webkit like chromium as a library or I have to customise rom for this.

I think that it's not an easy task.
Here is what I found on xda about this topic:
1. Android Development and Hacking > Android General > Chromium Webview in 4.4 breaks the AOSP browser
2. Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Q] Need help developing Web Browser usng WebView
Maybe you can find something useful there.
If not, please post your question in the Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting ... as I think this is the best place to ask this kind of question.

[Completed] recover systemui.apk for android 4.0.4 tablet 7 inch

sorry for bad English also sorry if the question not asked in the right way this my second android app i have not work with android system files before.
ive developing an android app for this tablet : artcom 707s 7 inch tablet with android 4.0.4
this application was very specific so we needed to remove the navbar we used a rooted app to removed it. this application removed "systemui.apk" .
we need to return it back . i tried to download systemui.apk and install it manually in system/apps but it dose nt work . also i tried to find it`s rom but i cant find it .

You may need to contact the manufacturer for original firmware and flashing instructions. I can't find anything on XDA about your device, you would need to ask for help here....

i found the rom for this device here :

but i dont know how to get systemui.apk from it . or how to use it to repair the device .

Yes, that is how it works. Just explain you have a .Rar zip file, and explain what you want to do. The file itself is irrelevant. And you're link has no information other that a link to a file.

i want to find suitable systemUi.apk file for my system ..... my device is an ( Chinese ) 7 inch table (company name : artcom) running with android 4.0.4 with processor A13 .
i searched online for it`s rom and i found this links :

and a user tried to install it on the same device and it`s worked fine with some problem in touch screen .

I have read all the threads on the topic of decompiling APK file and recompiling it, and so far I am successful in decompiling and recompiling it.And now I want to make some changes in smali files like change package name and remove some features, But I don't know smali language, so Is there a way that I can convert smali files into Android JAVA project which I can import into Eclipse or I must have to learn smali language to achieve what I want.

Hello, I am new to the forum.
I want to run the exoplyer of google (link:https://github.com/google/ExoPlayer) in my android phone Panasonic P55.
Now I have downloaded the source code files of exoplayer but i know nothing about compiling such files.
I have read the instructions in the webpage but it makes no sense to me.
If anyone can please compile the files into an apk file, I will be much much grateful. Thank you in advance.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
I tried compiling as well, but I had some stuff that was out of date, so ExoPlayer didn't import properly.
I would create an account, so you can post in other forums. Then, I would pose the question in the Go to first new post in the > Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [Ask Any Question][Newbie Friendly] thread.
Edit. I got it to compile, but it's a demo program, and although it probably has to do with my system configuration, it's very rough around the edges.
By the sounds of the description, it seems to be more for a media framework than a front-end for say, YouTube. Even if it was compiled properly, I don't think it will do what you are looking for. Sorry.

2. I want add uvc drivers to kernel (usb video class to use webcamera with hardware encoding with linphone). How should I do?
