The first hour looks promising.
Fast FOD, the system feels quick.
The included camera app is very simple and it's better to install some GCam.

I would suggest to set animation scale and speeds to at least 0.7x in developer settings. It gives the best experience.
I've got one thing. The Wi-Fi tile (normally hidden) doesn't work as expected:

And is there a way to encrypt the storage? Right now i can boot to TWRP and access all files without knowing the password...

Hi all. Fast charging not working, what can I do?
Not automatically updated via TWRP, what version of TWRP do you need? How to update manually? Where is the update file downloaded from OTA?

Fast Charging works fine here. I'll provide a new recovery that decrypts data on Android 13. Don't update with Ota for now. I'll update thread when new update is available. Maybe ota will work from next build.
Been using this rom for over 24hrs now and it runs beautifully.
Hello , Beautiful rom thanks for that. I have one small request from you.
Could you please lower the google photos installed on your rom lower than Google Photos 5.64 so we can install the version that could run magic eraser. It charges slower but other than that great rom.

Amazing rom, no problems so far!
I've been using it for a few days. Works perfectly without Big errors.
I olny have troubles sometimes with swipe Up gesture, It gest stuck on the wallpaper, no Windows or app menu. I need to block with power Button and unlock to back to normal. Also I put bottom line to Minimum just to hide, and now that i reverted to see if the swipe up gesture was linked, it doesn't show.
Also noticed that sometimes in bluetooth menΓΊ the gear icon isn't showing. Also the autobrightnes Button uses a gear icon instead of the of the original one.
Apologize my english.
Works:
β’ Phone user data encryption.
β’ Fingerprint scanner on screen works great and fast. LOVE I can use custom image and animation.
β’ Safetynet on my bank apps.
β’ NFC with GooglePay payments.
β’ GPS Waze and Maps.
β’ Cameras, front and rear. Using a patched GCamGO. I LOVE still change sound of popup camera.
β’Bluetooth: car OBD, Phone calling, car music. Even my rigntone sounds on my car audio, never happened before.
β’ Wifi, sharing wifi, QRcode conection.
Thaanks for this great rom. You give my Mi9T a second life. Better than any Xiaomi ROMs.

Thank you very much!
Hi,
i have a few questions:
- Is magisk working or howto root?
- Where are the source code?
- Are gapps included?
- Is front and rear camera working?
- Is OTA update supported?
Thank you!
Unlocked bootloader and had my first go with playing with the h9.
Magisk install was straightforward enough, no real instructions just found 368 ramdisk and patched that and fastboot flashed it.
Gapps is baked in
OTA don't know.
Camera is not that reliable with huawei camera and standard camera which is a pity. Currently trying some carmera from the play store and am having better results

I still had issues with open camera force closing. Simple camera seems to be working fine for me currently. Also noticed NFC appears to be disabled
Hi,
i installed the rr beta 2 rom yesterday. Camera works for me. No problems yet. OTA is not available, but that no big problem.
I disabled the softkeys, but found no settings to configure the hardware keys. Default settings are:
left key: back
right key: recent apps
middle key(fingerprint sensor): nothing
How can i change the hardware key settings?
Then i noticed that wlan sometimes automatically disable if screen turns off.
Just flashed RROS Beta 2 and play store wasn't installing any apps. I restarted my phone to see if it would fix the issue and now i'm stuck with "android is loading" with a loading bar. Anyone else had this issue?

Yes. I had it. Problems is, that no launcher app (trebuchet for example) is set and in my case i couldn't set it because the list was empty.
Try to swipe from top and enter settings and set start app. If your list is empty too, only factory reset helps for me.

The only think i noticed that wifi sometimes disconnects if screen is off. If screen is turned on you can see wifi connects again.
Does anybody use Omnirom? Is NFC functional? I can switch it on but nonfunctional.
After a major derp with Magisk on my previous Rom, and since I had to reset my whole device, decided to give your RRO a spin. I must say, great job.
Smooth, fast, with all the customizations RR has to offer without added weight.
And it runs beautifully well with my kernel I must say. Thank you!

Stock camera works just as good as in EMUI for photos, video shooting still needs to be fixed. Only AOSP camera can shoot video and in some cases the video does not get saved.
Other than that, NFC needs fixing and one or two more minor things i guess.
Hi,

Thank you man, you're awesome ..
Good to see so many pie roms. This rom is very special.

Wow finally pe pie is here
This highlight of the thread
Thanks to the poster.
NF1102 said:
1. Battery Saver automatically turning on.
A: This is not a rom specific bug, it is a pie related bug.
2. How to transfer from USB/Enable MTP?
A: Enable developer settings and inside it select File Transfer/MTP as USB Configuration.
3. GApps/Google Apps FCs/Force closing issue. [Fix credit - BLUE HACK]
A: Remove SD Card on first boot after installing ROM.
4. Notifications from Play Store not showing when downloading.
A: Go to settings, search for 'Data Transfer Tool', go to storage>clear storage>yes and then reboot your phone. Downloading status from Play Store should now appear in notifications.
5. Non-Certified Play Store. [Fix credit - mitchelldemarucot]
A: For most of the users, it shows certified on Play Store, but if yours show not certified then follow these steps:
1. Clear all apps in the background (Recent apps)
2. Open Settings
3. Go to 'Apps & notifications'
4. Click 'Google Play Store' > Storage > CLEAR DATA> Ok
5. Do the same with 'Google Play services' (To see this app, click the three dot icons at the top right corner and click 'Show System') [Note: This is an optional step if just clearing 'Google Play Store' doesn't work for you]
6. Reboot your device.
6. What are the GApps installed?
A: Pico GApps.
7. How do I enable on screen navigation and pie gestures?
A: Add this line - 'qemu.hw.mainkeys=0' to the build.prop in /system (without the ') & reboot and then go to settings and enable swipe up gesture (you can search for it).
8. Sim reset issues at every boot.
A: This is a bug common on all Pie-based ROMs out there, so this is again not a ROM specific bug, but hopefully it'll be solved soon.
BONUS: If you are coming from another ROM or another android version (eg. 8.1 Oreo) or if you are coming from a sGSI image then clean flash is recommended:
1. Backup all your data
2. TWRP>WIPE>FORMAT DATA>'YES'
3. Wipe>System-Data-Vendor-Cache-Dalvik Cache
4. Reboot recovery
5. Flash Pixel Experience ROM (No need to flash GApps)
6. Reboot to system.
Hit 'thanks/like' if this helped you.

FAQs -
Q1. How do I update it/Can I dirty flash?
A1. Yes you can dirty flash this update over the previous builds of this ROM, here is the exact way to do it correctly β
1. Go to recovery (TWRP/Orange Fox).
2. Flash the latest build.
3. Go to advance and wipe cache and dalvik cache.
4. Reboot and enjoy.
Q2. What are the bugs that are still available?
A2. Bugs that I have noticed β
1. Cast does not work.
2. Operator video calling doesn't work.
Q3. Can you confirm if all the stated changes are actually working?
A3. Yes sure. Here we go β
1. Add weather on lockscreen β Working.
2. Add ambient play β Working.
3. Removed XiaomiParts β Yes it was really useless.
4. Removed HD Icon β Finally itβs gone!
5. Removed pop-up for select SIM on every reboot β Yes! No more pop-ups.
6. Fixed LED not blinking β Working.
7. Fixed download notification β Working.
8. Fixed slow FP β Yes this is a major improvement.
Q4. Any issues with Bluetooth, Wifi etc?
A4. Everything seems to be working perfectly well including hotspot. Casting does not work.
Q5. Any issues with Network/Signal Reception?
A5. Yes, I can confirm this bug - the network/signal reception is fluctuating a lot and is not stable (Tested on Jio 4G VoLTE).
Q6. What is ambient play and how do I enable it?
A6. Ambient play is a always-listening music recognition feature from the pixel 2 phone that shows you information about the music playing around you. To enable it β
1. Go to settings>display>ambient display.
2. Go to Now Playing.
3. Turn it on and adjust the settings to your likeness.
Q7. How to enable weather on lockscreen?
A7. Here's how β
1. Go to settings>Security & Location>Lock screen Preferences.
2. Change the temperature unit to your likeness - Celsius or Fahrenheit.
3. The weather should show up on lockscreen.
Q8. Do you recommend this build?
A8. Absolutely! Vitor has done a wonderful job with this build. A lot of optimisation has been done to the kernel too so itβs really smooth and there are no lags whatsoever until now. I have been using this for 2 hours now and I love it.
If something is not working for you, or there are some bugs, then you probably have done something wrong, kindly do not blame the build or Vitor, though you can still ask for a resolution to your problem with kindness.
At last, a heartful thank you to Vitor for building and maintaining the pixel experience rom for our lovely mido, you are doing a great job friend!
Edit: I think I found a new bug β Theme settings does not apply on the notification panel. It remains dark themed no matter what you select in the theme settings - Automatic/Light/Dark - it just stays dark.

Ahhh yessss
Excellent ROM. One thing I can confirm is that encryption doesn't work. First I tried to flash on encrypted data and when I am prompted to enter PIN it keeps saying Wrong PIN. Then I formatted data and everything went right. I tried to encrypt it again afterwards, then I got into a bootloop.
Finally!

For me getting very good battery backup of around 4 hours sot and nice idle drain. The best i have been getting in long time. Snappy rom with no bugs.
Nice job.
Hello why the rom isn't in the official website of pixel experience ? And is there the navigation gestures enable ? The interface is the same as the pixel experience based on android 10 for the others phones or not ?

Making it more responsive would probably increase idle battery drain, so I would prefer not to change it.

It's not on the official website, because these are not official builds.
Gestural navigation is pretty much broken if you don't tinker with build.prop manually. Seems to be an issue on another devices aswell that have hardware buttons (like Xiaomi Mi 5 etc).
Yes, everything is the same like for other phones that run this custom ROM.

Yes
I succeed to install the rom but with twrp not start. Only with ADB sideload
Stuck at booting logo. Only way I found to unstuck it, is by formating data to ext4. But by doing this the phone lags after 5 minutes of usage.
Until now the rom work flawessly but has no volte and no vowifi.
Any screenshot Please
Regular non Plus version of PE is now available to download and install, check the first post for links.
OTA support has been added to the PE (non Plus) build and will be a valid way to update to future. (Next PE Plus build will include this too.)
Note: this can be dirty flashed over PE Plus if you already have that rom installed.
What makes PE VS PE+ different!
Any wise words on it please.
Thanks

not relevant to this thread but unable to pm.
I see you own a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 LTE in your signature.
What rom you using on it to make it faster as i got one too but struggling with slowness of it on stock and Lineage both.
Thanks
@expressluke ,I Really appreciate the effort you put into building this ROM.
Since I've been using it for the past 24 hours on N976N, it's been really fluid, has improved battery life, and is generally a fantastic ROM.I discovered the following minor flaws.
1) The imposed 1080p resolution was shaky; some applications, such as Phone, overrode it and set the resolution to 1440p.
2) I'm not really sure about this one, but the quick panel's dark theme remains black even when the dark theme is disabled.
3) video recording sound issue, recorded video doesn't have sound rather zzzzzzzzz sound, looks the mic is occupied google voice assistant. When I disable the mic access to Google app, it works perfectly

I'm not sure if it helps but, Item #1 (the resolution issue) is randomly resolved after applying a magisk module (link ) for another purpose (disabling secureFlag)
π§©[MODULE]𧩠Disable Flag Secureπ΅ v7.0 By π₯Mehedi H Joyπ₯
For so long everyone is looking for Disable Flag Secure Magisk Module. But can't find it anywhere. Earlier Xposed Module was released. This is the first time I brought the Disable Flag Secure Magisk Module. By flashing it you can take screenshot...

I have some errors while using this ROM. The device is very hot when in use, the camera when calling via messenger or zalo will turn off by itself, the sound is very low, the video recording sounds zzzzz, hope you can only fix the error.
no call recording, i am using n975f
Was so excited to try this and worked great. Then saw no encryption which I need for work so had to uninstall. Hope encryption gets enabled.
Merry Christmas XDA Note 10/+ users
A new build has been created and released for you all to install.
Changelog as follows:
- WireGuard integrated into kernel.
- Works on latest and older 12 firmwares
- Vendor partition reverted back to EXT4 from EROFS so now can be edited by the user.
- F2FS filesystem support restored
- Dynamic Encryption based on recovery (If TWRP is used, encryption will be disabled on flash)
- Pixel Experience Recoveries are shipped, for user to flash if they want encryption.
- OTA support included in all builds
- Do note if you switch between not using encryption and using it, a data format is REQUIRED.
As some of you may be using Lineage recovery, installing the build will encrypt your data and you will be forced a data format. Backup your data and do a data format or simply switch to TWRP if you don't want headaches.

latest one, you will need to format data, since voltage uses encryption
Thanks a lot. Installed on the phone which is not the current driver. The ROM is fluid and Graphene thing is a welcome addition. Will update if I encounter any bugs. After testing, I'll install Voltage OS on Redmi K20 Pro too. Heard much positives about it.

Thanks. Another browser sorted it.
this rom gives me highest Antutu scores with Frenzied Flame Kernel .. but i felt RAM management is not good as LOS ..
also some useful customization is missing like hw button backlight off options...(which is important for me)
wanted to stay on this but i revert on CrDroid..

New build with better ram management is coming, also added libperfmgr for better battery and performance.
And for the hwlights, we are working for a toggle to switch on and off for roms that dont include hwlights stuff
Thank you for the ROM and Kernels.
I noticed an issue on my 3GB Mido that I also had with LineageOS: When in a Discord call and locking the phone, it will disconnect from wifi after a few minutes, only reconnecting when unlocked. This of course ends the call, but also prevents notifications from coming through. No battery saving options are enabled and the setting that turns wi-fi off after a certain amount of time is also not enabled.
