REVANCED MANAGER ON ANDROID 5 - General Questions and Answers

Hello everyone. I have an oppo A37f which is running Android 5 ( i know it's lame ). I wanted to download Revanced Manager on it. Of course i am using an apk editor to edit sdk version but it's still not working. Can anyone please explain it to me how i can download it on my phone??

AFAIK this app requires Android 8, doesn't work with armv7 ( 32-bit SoC ) based devices.

We all have been newbs. So its either you are OK with every app dropping support for your phone or you will adapt. It's up to you.

The manager app only works on arm64 devices but...
You can patch an arm apk file using the manager app on a arm64 device.
Then pull the patched arm apk, and mount it on an arm device.
Cheers.
PS.
I am using a revanced patched YouTube Music v5.23.50 on my Nexus 7 (2013) running a custom lineage 19.1 build.

yes offcourse you can run or rather flash a 32bit custom rom on a 64bit device. But not the other way around. For porting you need a flashable stock rom of your device and a custom rom you want to port but please note that the chipset needs to be exactly the same and so does the Android os

How ever I try to port, it always ends up with bootloop.
Any suggestions?:crying:
I suggest you not to try cross porting as it require some knowledge first. Instead try to port the same android version and mtk version. Google is your friend... and your bootloop issue might be due to boot.img try extracting and editing it first

How install GCAM apk on my Redmi S2?

Hello,
I own a Xiaomi Redmi S2 since yesterday and I think MIUI's camera app do not make good pictures..
Is there GCAM apk available for the Redmi S2 with HDR+?
Thank you very much
I have tried multiple versions, doesn't install.
I tried to place the apk using root but the phone keeps deleting the apk.
Gcam will not work because ...the Android OS Xiaomi given in S2/Y2....is 32bit......You have to install custom ROM and then try any Gcam...it will work...so disappointing Xiaomi.

I found the kernel source on our Xiaomi Redmi S2. It seems this 64bit core. If someone understands this, can you help?
Kernel source for Redmi S2:
github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/ysl-o-oss
(looks like for arm64)
To run GCAM on our smartphone we need Android 64Bit, but now we have 32Bit

i don't think that's 64bit OS, do you? that's a64, means the partition tipe, means chipset support 64bit but the software is 32bit. a64 doesn't mean 64bit version unless there's specific info says 64bit. 64bit would be arm64 or aonly in my experiences.

you can if you donate, or if you buy them the device, maybe. otherwise they're not going to build one till they own the device. that's another reason you have to think before buying a new device

It is not possible until they have an Android 13 version and we have an active thread for this already
Is custom recovery possible/something that's being worked on?
Hi all, I hope this isn't a thread that has already been posted... I found it interesting that there is no TWRP or any custom recovery for Pixel 7/7 Pro. I understand it's not needed to flash different rom's such as Paranoid Android or Spark OS...

I believe it is possible. Install TWRP and use it to flash a GSI to /system.
I wrote a guide for doing this with the AOSP/Developer Preview GSIs here; you can use pretty much any GSI with this method.

I've tried android 12 on it and it's really buggy, I don't think android 13 would be any better.
