I’m using Truecaller for 10 years and I can confirm that it is NOT SAFE.
You install Truecaller. It forces you to make your phone and messaging default to Truecaller. Now you have shared all the phone numbers and messages with Truecaller. Within few days, you’ll notice more spam calls, sms and emails compared to not having Truecaller in first place.
This is era of Digital marketing. Businesses are being done online. There are product sellers who want to reach you to push their products but they don't know your number, profession and email address. They reach hackers or they themselves manage to get your contact information. Hackers hacks the data from Truecaller's server and sell them to these digital marketing guys. The data can contain your Phone number, Profession, messages, email address etc so that they can send you messages and will call you to sell their products. If you observe, Truecaller also gives an option to add your profession, email address, home address besides just phone number. Hackers and sellers got it all. You keep getting more and more spam calls, Emails and messages. If these spam call and messages bother you so much then Uninstall Truecaller and in few days you feel the difference, no more spam calls and messages.
Truecaller is created for business and its a company now. It takes all your contact information. Hackers get this information and sell it to businesses/buyers. You get more spam calls, emails and sms. To stop this you will have to pay for Truecaller premium. Nice business strategy.
In olden days, there was no Truecaller, if some one calls us and we determine its a spam caller, then we use to save his number with some stupid name, ignore, block or give them warning that we will report to police. Good olden days, your contact information was not being shared world wide. By installing Truecaller, you are inviting stress... more unwanted calls in unwanted time disturbing your sleep, leisure and peace of mind.
I can recommend Eyecon as an alternative to TrueCaller as it will not read all your messages plus hidden surprise, you find out!

Your "partner" can't intercept them.. But you can do one of two things..
Either create a program intercepting all incoming SMS'es, always forwarding them to him. You could append the sender phonenumber in the body of the sms or something so he'll know who it is from..
The other thing you could do .. is write a client/server app, so when you get an sms, it's intercepted and posted to a homepage/server you have.. Your partner could have a clientversion which regurarly synchronizes the data from the server and adds them to the cemail.vol file.. making it seem that he ha got the sms aswell..
Another thing again .. you could just make another app which sends the incoming sms as an email to your partner.. Many ways to do this.. but he can not intercept them.. you have to forward them either as an SMS, Email or pure data via a server solution you code/develop...

he can also make a program which only intercept sms's from a list of phone numbers or where surden texts or char's are present
but the program would need to run all the time and periodicly check for new sms's
i would like a program to reject sms messages or mms messages by phone number like i was able to do with my old phone.

I just signed up for a data plan and am trying to figure out a way to send text messages via data without signing up for a $20 texting plan.
Here is the following options I have come up with
-Use web2mail and send email texts to people. Although this is quite annoying because people say they recieve a new text every time i respond (doesnt come up as one conversation)
-Sign into AOL instan messanger and text people through that. But this kills my batterylife.
-There is an app called mjoy. www.mjoy.com I havent tried it yet, but am considering it.
are there any other options? any java apps or anything that can be used to send text messages?

As it stands, I'm using my email to send texts... but cumbersome at time. Especially when I don't know the persons provider. Anyhow, I saw that the Iphone/Itouch had an app that used Google's SMS feature called Infinite SMS... it got pulled back. Similarly, there is another Iphone/Itouch Textfree and Textfree Lite that sends texts via data, but not using Google's SMS.
I'm not a developer, but I guess if it could be done on the Iphone, then is it possible that it can be done on WM?

I'm sure there are services, but those aren't standard text messages. They don't come from your phone number- rather, you send your message to a third party (the service) and their gateway sends it for you.
There are a lot of services that offer it for "free" (usually on a limited trial / adware basis), and a whole lot more that offer it for cheap, bulk rates (e.g. a cent or two a message).
A lot of them are available for Java- you can take your pick by googling "free java text message" or "free text message windows mobile."
I can't recommend any specific one, but note that they won't be text messages coming from your phone- and in some cases, you won't be able to receive replies. Lots of services are one-way or glitchy at best.
Just to let you know:
Betamax Voip services such as the one I am using, Voipdiscount does provide the service you are longing for. The SMS' sender number that shows on the receiver's phone IS your phone number.
There is a condition for this though: when you first register a mobile phone number (you only have to do this once), they automatically call you back and have you entering a code to make sure you are not faking someone else's phone number.
Once they've made sure you are the owner of this phone number, you can keep sending SMS from the internet and they just look like any SMS you've sent from your mobile phone.

basically, that GOGII program contacts their systems for the purposes of sending a text message, if you were to get hold of the binary application, you could figure out their SMS server on the internet and then write your own program to send SMS messages - you could do it from a PC, PDA, whatever has internet.

i dont know if there is a wm version of icq, i used to txt ppl with icq all the time! they dont even have to have icq, u just put their # on a contact and use the sms service
most wireless providers have a web form for sms, tho usually restricted to ppl using that carrier and almost always annoying captcha ugh

Betamax is not a fraud, I've been using their service for 3 years now, I would have noticed!
the proper link in my case is: www.voipdiscount.com but there are pleinty other sites belonging to betamax. Each has different discounts to call different countries. You should check them out and compare to know which one fits your needs best.
So, Ive made an Android App called SMS Forward. It enables forwarding of SMS to either another phone number or an email. What would be cool is if I could somehow make it so that you could reply to text messages through email. For this to work I reckon I need to use some kind of SMS Gateway. I know there are solutions out there you have to pay for, which is fine.. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My app PhoneLeash (tinyurl.com/phoneleashfree) does SMS forwarding to email and SMS. Its possible to reply to incoming SMS from your email account, provided the Reply-To address is your phone's email-to-SMS address. The phone then sends out your reply, so no gateway needed, and it looks more natural to the recepient.
These email-SMS addresses are completely non-standard unfortunately so I had to create a database by hand, at least for US and Canadian carriers. And I can only hope they don't change too soon.
There are also some online services that help you determine who the carrier is for a phone number. You could use those and come up with a valid Reply-To based on the number of the incoming SMS (most of the time hopefully!)

It is quite easy to find out the options in order to send bulk SMS to the audience. The real estate text marketing app that I am using is absolutely great. We are super impressed with the results. The phone numbers used on this aplication are not special numbers that charge more or have fees. It is like sending a message to a regular phone. The number is for most users an international number and the price you pay depends on your phone company so it is best to check with them for specific price. But SMS messages are really cheap from most phone companies and sending it internationally should not cost more than perhaps $0.2 per message, but again your phone company has the prices. This aplication does not charge or get any money from people sending sms messages to it.
Reload the list of SMS (click on button Update) to see new messages. A message will be shown here in less than 1 second after it is received. All messages that are received are shown and nothing is blocked. However some services on the web puts in limitations. Such as limits on the number of accounts that can be used with a particular phone number.
