Hi All,
I've just got an Samsung Galaxy S that is coded to a provider network.
So far so good ...
After I've installed an application and root the phone and then unroot it, my pone doesn't recognize my sim card ...
If I navigate to the Mobile Network from Settings then I get No SIM card inserted.
Facts to take into consideration:
- I have restarted the phone;
- I have applied a factory reset and lost all my data except music and files I've got on it;
- I have shacked the SIM card a little bit;
- I didn't applied a hard reset to it;
- I did tried to put a different provider SIM card and the message I get is to insert PIN then is asking for the UNLOCK NETWORK PIN;
- I am able to log in the phone but with no service
Please note that when starting / restarting the phone I get no Insert PIN popup
Anyone has an ideea why ?
I've got the same problem saptaru.
No sim card is detected in my Galaxy S.
If you happen to solve it, please, do not forget to post a comment.
After dialing #*1234# I can read:
PDA:
PHONE: Unknown
CSC:
I guess the IMEI cannot be recognized by the phone.
At least, I wrote it before rooting and flashing.
Any help will be highly apreciatted!
Hello,
After several restarts, hard reseting the phone and enable-disable networking I still get the sim card removed from time to time ... I don't really know how to debug this... if there is anyone on this forum with the right experience in order to debug the system please write me and maybe we can find a solution.
I must mention that I have unlocked my phone and also rooted it.
Thanks allot !
I have same problem now, can anyone help.
well my sim card has been identified but i can't seem to register on the network.....thats as far as i got as a noob with my first android (xperia x8)......can someone help me from here on......
i get nothing from sims from various networks, it doesn't even register as having a sim in it...
unlocked and darkys rom... driving me crazy, it basically a large mp3 player at the moment...
Maybe have installed the wrong ROM. i9000 has many bases and radios. I had this problem installing 900mhz ROM on a 850mhz sim.
Good luck

Hmm, ok this might be the issue, flashing the htc desire is so much simpler!!
Will try to find correct radios and stuff again...
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Even I am having the EXACT same issues right now. I also did the factory reset but that doesn't help!

Have the same problem here. Have you managed to find a solution?
Hi everyone, I don't know if anyone is still interested but I've found that putting the phone into flight mode and then rebooting seems to work, because when I then turn flight mode off it asks me for my pin code and service is restored. As long as the IMEI folder is still in the efs folder then things should be fine.
Hope this helps for anyone who is here or just stumbles across this.
I've had the same problem > Sim Card not found.
I went to the Vodafone repair center today they said the phone had water damage.
Its never been near any water ever-they said that it could have happened months ago - "perhaps you hand wet hands once?". Its still in warranty but the apparent water damage means the warranty its now invalid. So now I'm stuck with an expensive video/audio player with WiFi access. Any help or progress with this issue would be great. Thanks
I fixed the issue bu flashing a working Modem from another rom. Just extract the modem.bin and flash it with odin
sim not discoverable
Hi all
Just wanna share an personal experience
:Been flashing rom in n out in this forum for ma LG P970 n a weird problem occured to me
-just flashed ma latest rom(Lezo Rom) n everything went smooth but only ma network didnt show up , Everything else work . Sim already installed in .
-Ma reflex was that ma sim burnt during flashing(it happened to me once) but not at all !! Tried it on ma nokia 5800 (v vip ) n it show that i had to edit ma PUK n pin code . Edited done
-Put back sim in fone but same result : sim missing
-So what i did was simply to go> setting > theme > brightness n pin code appeared to me .
-TADA n its done
Hope its helpfull for noobs like me
Hi,
I dont whether ,this is the appropriate place for asking this but until and unless i ask ,i wont ever know.
So here it is, I am using Zen Z77,its an java phone M also using android but was just keen to know how to do software update of these chinese java phones.
In android its very easy to go to recovery mode and do our stuff but do we have the same concept in these java phones?
How flashing works in these phones..?
any customisation possible in these phones..?
Its an dual sim phone,
My phone keeps on rebooting after inserting 1 sim card and further on inserting both the sim card ,frequency of reboot just gets doubled
Can anybody help me out with this..?
HAve formatted it once and also did the factory reset but no success.
So... without too much boring stuff:
MOTO G X1039 - SW state : Lollipop 5.1 via OTA update - not locked on any carrier or bought with any plan
SIM card dies (no signal) - test the simcard on another phone to confirm and it did die.
After going and swapping the sim with a new one still no signal ; test the new sim in another phone - working.
Looking into settings i see it fails instantly when i try to manually select a carrier.
Things i have tried so far:
-fiddling with network type (lte,2g,3g) and rebooting
-factory recovery (lollipop)
-unlock bootloader
-restore to Kitkat 4.4.4
-removing the battery
-different sims from operators
what i did find is some very puzzling info from factory mode and phone status
Sorry but im not allowed to post links so if you want to help pls add dot before org and check in browser
without sim:
postimgorg/image/komcalo5d/
after sim insert
postimgorg/image/qrzqi6nel/
postimgorg/image/5ejutqxwn/
postimgorg/image/dzd6kx82v/
postimgorg/image/dd6kmcvoz/
So as you can see - the SIM slot is working and detecting the smi but the radio seems to be stuck in OFF state - pushing the turn on button does nothing.
i have searched far and long and found no "identical" problems or other info beside the idea that thers a radio-off function (S-radio ? ) in bootloader or something ?
Anyone got any clue whats going on with this damn moto or what else to try ?
Thank you.
bump this post since I've got exact same problem. and seem no solid solution found.
Anyone get to the bottom of this as I have two with this problem after trying to install stock ROM's back onto them?
hi reader. its been almost 1 month since i bought a second-hand Huawei Shotx ath-ul01. when i bought, it was on android 5.1.1, EMUI 3.1. and update was pending for android 6.0 . On first 5 to 6 tries it did not update and ended with error. and when it finally updated successfully it was unable to read both sim cards. and after rollback it even got worst . now when ever i insert a sim card it asks for PUK code and doesn't even accept the real PUK code for my SIM card. i have also tried changing SIM card but the problem is same wit every SIM. Please some one help me through this. i'll be very thank full.
HOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU SOON!
Has the device been rooted ever before?
If you have not any better idea, try to perform a factory reset(wipe data) + wipe cache partition after a full backup. Good luck to you.

now somhow i managed to install ath-ul01 but the problem still exist. now i think i just have to flash modem.img somehow, but i cant do that, my bootloader is unlocked but i cant perform any command related to MODEM. like FASTBOOT ERASE MODEM or FASTBOOT FLASH MODEM MODEM.img these commands wont work.
system related commands work like a charm.
