Hello,
I have an old S8 that I want to revive.
The phone has been borrowed by some colleagues as a favor when their was lost/on the way to a new.
The one that I thought was the last left it without unlocking.
It seems that the phone wants a user that I do not find.
Is there a way of getting the phone to reveal the account it is requiring?
Regards Jan

No. All you can do is look for a method to remove FRP lock on your specific model number.

OK, thank you.
I kind of know every user, but might have difficulties with getting them to check.
It would have been neat if the phone could give me a hint

Do a Google search for:
"Bypass FRP lock (your specific device model number"
That should find some guides and/or videos with different methods to bypass FRP. Try the different methods you find, one of them should work.

I bought an ATT Samsung Infuse to be used in South America (Surinam). Other than SIM unlocking this puppy, is there anything else that needs to be done to ensure that it is fully functional? Thanks.
It would be good if the OP's notifications setting was set to 'Instant email notification' by default.
There is pretty much nothing else. Anyway if you need sim unlocking the place i will send my phone to will sim unlock it for uou.
Good. Sound like I need to just get the unlock code.
BTW is there a system timer (measure how long the phone has been \ in service)?

Search here. There is already a script here that does the same and gives you the unlock code.
You can call ATT for lock code. They are required to give to you. Might take 48hrs. If it is an ATT brand phone.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using xda premium
Thanks for the suggestion. Is there a law that compels them to provide the code?

I dont' mind searching, however, could you provide a good keyword to search on? Thanks.
I'd like to avoid rooting or making changes until I've proved out the phone. Baby steps.

Thumb rule, any typical case: 6 months from date of release of phone (except iphone) + your account standing position with them.

I don't have the link to the thread, but find attached the script, and the screenshot associated. I have yellowed out the device id and unlock code.
You need to be rooted, I think.
Before I root my device, I would like to understand what the 'cost' (not in terms of $) would be. I am not concerned with warranty.
There seem to be inexpensive alternatives on eBay ($3) that will provide the Unlock code. I realize that this is counter to the spirit of modding, however, I have a thing about understanding what the options are before making a decision.
I appreciate the responses and the help that I have received. Thank you
I have LG Flex 2 ATT. I slept with my phone by my side and when I woke up I saw the phone has white screen and it asks for 'backup pin' and 'Account unlock' codes. I don't know what triggered it but I am not able to use my phone and it doesn't accept any google account username and password. I don't remember setting any 'PIN' on my phone either. How do I get in?
Any help please?
The best thing if you dont mind to loose your internal data is flash the KDZ firmware on the device, if you dont know how to do it search in this forum!
If you dont want to try...the only way to solve it is send it to LG support service!

I did a hard reset but after reboot it still asks for the same Google account as before. Second, AFAIK flashing any other firmware will brick my device.

are you sure they ask for google account?! i mean, that only happens when someone have trying to acess the phone and fail the PIN code or something for 5 times and the device get locked and ask for that...but i dont know anything else to lock the phone and ask for the google account!
i see some users get the phone locked by mcafee and ask for a PIN for mcafee and not google! is really strange.

I did hard reset the same way. But google still asks me the account associated with the phone before the reset. This is how google thinks will prevent stolen devices.

This sounds like this isn't your phone. You can't remember the password or the google account associated with it? If you can't remember the google password, you can reset that.

Tbf it does sound a little fishy. I initially called bs too before looking at your post history and seeing you were active here before this thread. Personally I'd rather people err on the side of caution before giving advice on how to bypass a lock screen.

I have already mentioned before that I would produce the proof of purchase if anyone does have a solution. I even wrote the same to LG too. But LG said they can fix it only if the phone is mailed to them and have a return mailing address in USA only.
For others who are in the same situation as I was, I found a solution. Though, I had to pay for it. After trying everything found on forums for almost a month there was no other solution left. Finally got my phone working, have to admit LG has done one heck of a job securing this device.

But it didn't work for me. So had to pay for another software. If you want the software can split the cost. I hope I am not breaking any forum rules here.
Thanks.
Why would you need to bypass it?
And no, it's not as simple as that, it's designed to stop thieves from reactivating stolen phones

The only way i have seen in these forums to unlock is to pay off your phone and ask the carrier for unlock code.
I have not seen postings about any other solution working

Hit up TMOhelp on twitter and ank for perm. sim unlock. That's what I did and they got it sorted, and my phone isn't completely paid yet. I told them that I wanted to run the new dev preview of 11 and they hooked me up. I've been a customer forever and have been in good standing as well. It is their option, but TMOhelp on twitter has been the best source to get this done.
I've tried looking around online and whatnot and have asked many people (even going as far as to email Samsung's team in hopes they might help out somehow) but I always end up back at square one. I genuinely doubt that it's impossible, but I don't know where else to go or what else to do. Does anybody know of a device with a similar situation that I might be able to work a method off of? Perhaps another Samsung device previously thought of to be "impossible to unlock" that I may learn something from? I'd really love to be able to unlock and root and flash this device, as its hardware is quite nice and fast: it's just unfortunate that it gets stuck with OneUI (I know everyone has different opinions on the matter, but I just really don't like Samsung's OS, personally).
Any help or guidance or advice - no matter how small - will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
you are not having the able to unlock the locked phone that has locked bootloader because they don't wnat you to unlock your phone

Realme RMX2155 was previously thought to be not unlockable for awhile but somebody ended up cracking it via editing firmware files via hexeditor and some other stuff. Eventually, somebody found an even easier exploit. It's not quite the same as the A53, which is why I'm asking if anybody has any ideas. Tons of unofficial methods exist for different models - some easier and some more difficult. If everybody thought that an official method had to be the only way, I'm near-certain XDA forums would be mostly dead with only a few device-forums active.
I've asked on here previously about unlocking the bootloader for my A536U, but it really went to dead ends. The best asset to cracking these devices is time. Just be patient, someone may find an exploit soon.
Although, finding an exploit has been done for phones, I read years ago that someone who did that for one only got it by chance. Its not easy.
Anyone however can sell it or trade it in and buy a device that's unlockable. Much easier.
