I bought an ATT Samsung Infuse to be used in South America (Surinam). Other than SIM unlocking this puppy, is there anything else that needs to be done to ensure that it is fully functional? Thanks.
It would be good if the OP's notifications setting was set to 'Instant email notification' by default.
There is pretty much nothing else. Anyway if you need sim unlocking the place i will send my phone to will sim unlock it for uou.
Good. Sound like I need to just get the unlock code.
BTW is there a system timer (measure how long the phone has been \ in service)?

Search here. There is already a script here that does the same and gives you the unlock code.
You can call ATT for lock code. They are required to give to you. Might take 48hrs. If it is an ATT brand phone.

Thanks for the suggestion. Is there a law that compels them to provide the code?

I dont' mind searching, however, could you provide a good keyword to search on? Thanks.
I'd like to avoid rooting or making changes until I've proved out the phone. Baby steps.

Thumb rule, any typical case: 6 months from date of release of phone (except iphone) + your account standing position with them.

I don't have the link to the thread, but find attached the script, and the screenshot associated. I have yellowed out the device id and unlock code.
You need to be rooted, I think.
Before I root my device, I would like to understand what the 'cost' (not in terms of $) would be. I am not concerned with warranty.
There seem to be inexpensive alternatives on eBay ($3) that will provide the Unlock code. I realize that this is counter to the spirit of modding, however, I have a thing about understanding what the options are before making a decision.
I appreciate the responses and the help that I have received. Thank you
Just asking dod they start unlocking the phone? Rooting and frp are done now bootloader next
I think perhaps not. I am looking for the same thing but it seems you can only do this through the unlocking services online.

Greetings,
I see manny dramma about unlocking bootloader on nokia devices.
Nokia statement is NO OFFICIAL METHODE TO UNLOCK them, even they server is up and runing
I am offering unlock of bootloader, no matter which nokia.
nokia 2,5,6,6.1,7,7 plus,8 are supported models.
How to do it?
mod edit - content removed
I will calculate 5 free signatures (unlock.bin), if you are lucky you will get it, but hurry up.
When free signatures over, there is paid way (cheap)
WHOA 0 (zero) FREE SIGNATURE LEFT, only paid at now
BR
The method is working, the performer is honest. I recommend to those in need of quick unblocking.

Yes you can
Can we trust someone who is only interested in charging for anything? What a way to help the forum partners if you are not able to supply links to stock firmware if it is not paying
I only know way to flash is not free, so no way of free flash. When i get firmware i will UPLOAD IT FREE!
In next 2 days expect it
Can flash stock rom or update for free
so how much for unlock my bootloader and which payment method?
I suspect this of being a scam. There's no real proof or any kind of guarantee that the person's not going to just run away with your funds. He's charging diffrent amounts, asking and seeking information about region you're currently living in and basing his prices about it.
First of all I DONE FREE 5 UNLOCKS.
People posted IN MY THREAD.
SECONE, FOR PAYMENT, IT IS DONE AFTER BL UNLOCK.
And yes, price deepends is it paypal, skrill or other thing. So go away with asshaming people.
All are happy to unlock it
I hasten to dispel all doubts. A man really honestly does his deed.No deception and espionage. I am very pleased with the result of his work.

Rather than payment method, you could instead give the complete guide for free and people, if they like they'll donate you.. that's how the process goes... You'll also gain a lot of respect in the forum

What is your problem?
Is there some binary I need? I've heard different things but unsure how to get OEM switch to light up versus greyed out. I'm new to this brand. I'm told you must wait 45 days? There are no custom ROM yet so not needed I guess but I'm curious nevertheless.

Call in to Customer Service and make up some story on how you will be out of the country for 3+ months and will need your phone unlocked so you can use it. They will override the wait to unlock it...
I will try

Is there some program they send me that actually does this unlocking? Forgive me but I have not used OnePlus phones yet and am trying to learn this Oxygen OS layer. I basically only wish to root to get root level apps to backup app data etc. The idea that SIM unlock = Bootloader Unlock is very strange. No other equipment works like this. You can SIM unlock without BL unlock. So please educate me. Thanks.

If you have a T-Mobile version... There is an app on it named "unlock", it's controlled through there. If not T-Mobile then I do not know.

there is an unlock app on your phone called "Unlock"
If you use the Unlock app, chances are it will tell you that your device cannot be unlocked because it is not yet paid for in full (that is, if you're financing it). You're best off contacting T-Mobile Help on Twitter

I talked to the rep and they claim to have done it. But it is failing inside the UNLOCK app. She needs to get them to call me tomorrow. But apparently it is unlocked just the app wont do it. I dunno why.

Maybe it is this device since it is so new. I give up for tonight and will check tomorrow. It says it is checking it live on their server so if she actually did unlock, unsure why it would error out.
Does anyone know how to unlock the bootloader? Or does anyone have the source to root a galaxy note 20 ultra (snapdragon)? I've seen the link saying why someone did it but it doesn't explain how they did it, or where. I understand i might have to pay but honestly it's worth it.

Currently, the only way is via that method. It's done through an unlocking method that only they're able to do. Otherwise, it would have been discussed by now

SamPWND unlocks bootloader on Snapdragon GalaxySamPWND is a paid service that (remotely) helps you unlock the bootloader on Snapdragon Galaxy devices sold in the USA and Canada. This service is provided by XDA Recognized Developer and long-time community member elliwigy. He first announced this service over at XDA in December 2020.
He is the same developer who found an exploit that led to root solutions for various Snapdragon devices including Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S9/S9+, and Galaxy Note 9.
Here’s the old direct link to SamPWND’s official website: https://www.sampwnd.com/... but unfortunately the site is down.
You can contact elliwigy here though and ask.
