Hello all and have a great day! I currently possess a Huawei smartwatch GT3 Active 42mm and a Huawei Honor 10 smartwatch. I was wondering if I can use my phone's 22.5W wall charger (5V 2A output) via USB to charge my watch (with it's own wireless charger cable), without damaging the watches battery. I would love an answer if you can

Hello. I have a Samsung Gear S2 and a RS components powerbank. The output of the powerbank is rated 5V and 2.1A, while the Gear S2 charger is rated 5V and 0.7A. Is it safe to charge the S2 Gear with this powerbank, despite the higher current?
"If you take a phone which came with a 900mA wall charger, and plug it into a 2,100mA iPad charger, as an example, will it blow up?
In short, no: You can plug any USB device into any USB cable and into any USB port, and nothing will explode — and in fact, using a more powerful charger should speed up battery charging. We now do this all the time with our mobile devices here at ExtremeTech, and we’ve never had a problem."
Should work fine only thing you should check is the heat.

Hi,
Should I charge my mate 9 using 6A portable charger, will it get charged quickly in about 3 hours (note looking at to get supercharge performance, only solid performance)? Any idea about portable charger that supports huawei supercharge?
This is it the charger about to buy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014ZO46L...ords=battery+charge&qid=1492195962&kwr_id=179
Thanks,

So, when it is about charging, this Galaxy S21+ (Exynos) can be really choosy. With a lot of chargers, it difficulty reach 1.3A. Only few of the selected chargers (my Lenovo 65Watt laptop charger, IKEA 27Watt charger) it could reach 2A charging with wired. For wireless charging, it's even worse. Currently I owned 3 wireless chargers.
1. Energizer 15Watt charger. Never even shows Fast Wireless Charging.
2. Samsung EB-U1200 Wireless Charging Power Bank. This one shows Fast Wireless charging. It could charge up to 2A for a while and then once the battery temp hits about 39C (and it hits there within 5 mins), it throttles.
3. Huawei SuperCharge 27Watt Wireless Charger (with Huawei 22.5Watt SuperCharge Charger and 5A cable), performs same as Samsung Power Bank. Reaches up to 2A, then battery heats up and throttles.
I've tried different ways, including removing the phone case while charging but result is still the same. Does any of you have similar experience? or is it just my phone? Please advise me how to make wireless charging more efficient.
I've not tried wireless charging however for wired you need a charger that supports USB C PD PPS (this is a fairly new standard) and without this you won't get anything more than about 2A.
This Ravpower charger for £16 (£13 with current voucher code) works a treat hitting 4.6A when the battery is empty reducing as the battery becomes full. You have to use USB C to USB C to achieve this.

My guess is there will be a similar standard for wireless charging that you need to adhere to.
Could you please suggest me a Type A to Type C USB cable that can charge the phone while running android auto?
The cable I use now is the same I've been using for years with the Pixel 4 XL and it would charge the phone properly while running android auto while the same cable with the Z Flip 3 it charges the phone very slowly.
The problem may not be the cable. The Z Flip 3 downgraded the charging and data transfer on the USB port to what they used in 2017. It only accepts the old 15W "fast" charge, which translates to slower wireless and trickle charge capabilities. The Pixel 4a is from 2020, so likely already as fast as it gets.
After doing some research and reading hundreds of reviews I've just ordered this one:

this one came a close second:

If I use a different cable, it will charge as fast as the Pixel instead Android Auto won't work. That's why I think it is cable related.
@beanbean50 I think I'll buy the Anker.
Just received my cable (Belkin) and wow what a day and night difference. It's now charging at 15w instead of a measly 5w (through the PC) and can now transfer files in a fraction of the time it used to take. The cable is twice as thick as a standard cable but that's a non-issue for me.
Sounds like your old cable was only charging at 5w which isn't enough to charge and use at the same time, so you should be well pleased when your new Anker cable arrives.
I bought the Anker PowerLine II USB C to USB 3.1 and solved the problem. Now it charges pretty fast while being able to use Android Auto.
Hello everyone,
Any sygegstions/recommendations on a good wireless charging pad to charge the phone and the buds pro, even the pixel watch perhaps? Would also like to keep a fast wired charger for quick juice up - Not the google one. I am open to chargers with multiple ports for multiple devices getting charged quickly. So
1) Wireless charging pad (Atleast dual)
2) Wired charger with multiple ports
Thank you for your time and help.
I use this one to charge my galaxy watch 4 and galaxy buds+ together with my p7p. It works great! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09JZC8KFH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks. A bit beyond my budget, which is $25, but I clearly need one to charge P7P, Pixel Buds Pro and Pixel Watch.
does the speed of wireless charging soley depend on the adapter thats plugged in to the wireless charging pad?
