Question Anyone familiar with S908U1UEU2AVHF? - Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Hi.
My ultra is unlocked and I'm currently in Europe when this update option showed up. Should I allow it? I am just not sure if updates are based on location and it's going to mess things up when I get back to the USA.
Thanks

What firmware are you currently using?

Both have the same product code (USC), so, it appears it's just your usual monthly update.
It's USA firmware.......
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...M-S908U1/USC/download/S908U1UEU2AVG8/1664686/. (July 2022)
https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/g...M-S908U1/USC/download/S908U1UEU2AVHF/1674713/. (August 2022)
Just curious......
You said this was unlocked, I'm guessing you mean SIM unlocked. Is this a carrier model (that's been SIM Unlocked) ?

Im on PB6 too. Samsung should release the next update with april security patch within the next few weeks
Does the location and language settings used for initial setup has anything to do with the delay of the updates? Just curious to know, where do guys get the International version in USA?

global version (930F) is available at swappa dot com, Best Buy, and B&H Photo/Video
Been on APB6 too on my G930F for a while. It's an international version I got from eBay, using it on prepaid. Initial language setup was set as united kingdom but I changed it to united States. I'm a bit jealous hearing other European origin variants got updates

G930FD here. Duos version. Didn't expect the updates to be so quick. Already on April patch. While my Duos G4 isn't getting quick updates as promised by LG. LG only gives priority in updates only for the International(Single SIM) version. But Sammy's case is quite unexpected.
Ditto here, but still on PB4 / Feb patch. (G930F)
I've only had it a few days, but this is the only reason I got this one over the carrier variant. Meanwhile T-Mobile and Verizon have already released updates with the April patch.
Lovely! ....

I should state that I'm up in Canada, so we're using a different set of regional codes. Nevertheless the latest avialable build I see is: G965WOYV1ARC1 (I have no idea what security level this is). My carrier is still on a February security patch level with build number: G965WVLU1ARBG.

Ok, but that still doesn't explain how can one know if we're on the v1 or v2 bootloader? Or is this bootloader versioning only applicable to the US region?

I would be very careful in attempting to load another regions firmware on your Canadian variant. There have be some users who have reported ending up with a bricked device attempting this sort of update. While you can find stock Odin files for our devices, it's still on the v1 bootloader. Not worth the pain...

Let me know if you successfully flash on your device then I'll do it as I'm from Bell mobility
I got the downloads to go through. Will report once flashing is complete. Not sure which firmware will be on the phone when it arrives (att variant) but I'm gonna be flashing u1 then newest rc6 TMobile firmware. Hoping to have full features working as if originally a TMobile variant.
On a side note (mods please excuse) but Samsung. Com has the att variant on sale $639 ($200 off) and since I'm trading in my old s7 I'm getting an additional $200 off so $439 ($466 after tax) for a brand new s9+! Once i flash the TMobile firmware I'll be happy and for $400 off!
Anyone know if i need to sim unlock before flashing this? I've read about having to flash the unlocked rom before flashing the T-Mobile Rom and that's my other question. Can i just flash this tmobile firmware to the phone fresh out of the box or do i need to go to unlocked first (doesn't seem right) and put my TMobile sim in and be good?
My thoughts were that i could just sim unlock thorough a 3rd party then Odin the TMobile firmware and be done. Thanks

You have to unlock your device first, before flashing any other firmware besides your carrier firmware. Flashing unlock firmware, will not unlock your device.

SIM unlock has nothing to do with firmware/rom flashing. You can flash to any U/U1 firmware you want and your device will still be in the same carrier lock/unlock state it was before.
T-Mobile does do things a little differently, however. Flashing a different firmware won't SIM unlock your phone, but I do believe you need to be on a legitimate T-Mobile firmware to unlock the device via their built in unlocking app.
Awesome thanks guys. Will just get a 3rd party unlock service then flash.
If you got it from [email protected] they will unlock it free of charge. And if you didn't I would still try with them first before paying
Will use it to update my converted s9 plus from att to tmobile firmware.
I tried to search for updates in the menu but it says phone is already up to date. But version is RBG.
Latest one is ARC6

Did either of you do it yet? I'm in the same boat, just got my AT&T that I want to use on T-Mobile. I'm debating if I should flash unlocked or T-Mobile, and now the option of this new bootloader?

Im just waiting for Rogers in Canada to push out their latest update, which they say is now available, and its not. I want to see if they have updated from U1 to U2 before taking the plunge with this firmware.
What's the benefit to having T-Mobile f/w over unlocked? Or what's better about having unlocked? I'll be using it only on T-Mobile.

OTA updates outside of intended region?

Hello good people of the XDA forums,
I live in Canada and recently ordered a Galaxy A51 off of Amazon, only to find out it is apparently the Latin American version of the SM-A515F variant. Using my Canadian sim card, will I be able to get get OTA updates on this phone from Samsung or not? If it comes to it at the end of the day, I suppose I could live with manually updating with Odin (how that works I have yet to find out), but I'd definitely not prefer it. As of this moment I'm still stuck with the December 1st security patch and version A515FXXU1ASL1. I got this phone just this Friday and didn't even receive an update as I was setting it up, which certainly worried me.
Also, and on a related note, because this is the Latin American version, NFC is disabled. Is that something that could be changed as well/be fixed in the future?
Thank you so much for your help y'all

I definitely haven't gotten any updates. Is there any reasonable reason why I'm not getting updates but you are? I'm with Public Mobile, if that makes a difference. Would it have something to do with my sim card? The country code on my phone is TPA, which from what I've seen is the Latin America/Panama model.

Change CSC - Korean Note 20 Ultra

Hello,
I just bought a Note 20 Ultra Korean variant with Snapdragon processor.. I am using the phone in India.. it seems to have some KT carrier branded firmware in it.. it also has some carrier specific settings in the menu.. I understood that the CSC of my device is KTC and Korean unbranded model has KOO CSC.. is there a way I can change the CSC to KOO and install stock Samsung firmware on this device? I have no idea how to change the CSC.. tried*#272*IMEI# and it doesnt work.
I am on September security patch.
Please help me.

AFAIK, the Korean(SM-N986N) model was released with August security patch right out of the box, i.e. there was no firmware build for consumers with July security patch for this model. So searching for a July-patched build might not help.

That's with August security patch, having July-end build.
I own this model and live in South Korea. The firmware came out in July upon launch with August security patch. There has been one security patch update released since then (September 4). So, maybe the OP is SOL about downgrading unless the original firmware will still work for changing CSC. I don't know, as I've stopped messing with that stuff years ago now.

I think my phone came with July security patch.
The only reference I can find to ATGI firmware is testing from Samsung back in July and the pic was in Korean. I pre-ordered mine and it came with ATH1 firmware out of the box in August. You're not going to find that firmware anywhere easily. I can't even get a hit on a Korean search engine. Good luck.

Question S22 Ultra TMO to U1 April update

Hey guys! So it's now April 18 and I'm still on march patch, I converted my locked TMO S22U to U1 and haven't seen an update... I'm currently on firmware U1ACV8 is this current or am I going mad?!

That is the current update for the U1 firmware.
I know, there's no rhyme or reason to U1 & Carrier updates compared to the rest of the world.
My T-Mobile Note 20 Ultra (converted to U1 firmware) got the April patch last week.
Conventional wisdom is the newer models are 1st in line, but, again, that just doesn't apply to the North American market.

Thanks so much for the response! I was under assumption maybe converting broke updates
When using the U1 firmware, your carrier's CSC, automatically set by the SIM card, determines when you get the update. Having flashed the Verizon version to U1, I got the April update last week.
