I have an unlocked UK Exynos S22+ and so far every OTA update I've tried since I got it has failed.
Updates usually fail at 25% progress and give the error: "Unable to update firmware. Visit a samsung service centre."
The June and latest August update gave me this error: "partition super Reason SUPER: Build-id does not match with the reference" with the blue download mode screen.
I feel like my situation is a lot like this person's and I have no idea how to fix it because I did a clean flash of the last August update a few days ago and still it failed. So far the only workaround is to flash every update through Odin. Would appreciate any help I can get because having to reflash every month is very frustrating.
I am currently flashing the EUX firmware but I am in Asia right now so I don't know if that is affecting it.
When you can, take it to Samsung shop/store and let them have a look at it

Once I get a chance I will. 2 updates have worked flawlessly so far out of 6. The April update when I first got the phone and the July update. So the phone is capable of updating fine it just...doesn't.

So as you know 3 days ago a small OTA update came out for Verizon which is pretty much the same one AT&T received last month. On wifi I tried to download the update via OTA on the phone, my phone is not rooted and when I tried to download it it just failed in the middle of downloading and I got the error code 503. The wifi I'm using is very fast and steady and nothing else on the phone is having an issue at the moment. So I tried to download it again and it told me that the software currently installed on the phone(original phone release date software) is the newest up to date software. So I called Samsung and told them the situation along with the new build number "VRU1AOD5"(from the new OTA not installed on my phone yet) and software version number currently installed on the phone(5.0.2) and they told me that I'm up to date 5.0.2 and that to their knowledge they never heard of the update or build number I gave them and there was no update for Verizon. So how I can redownload the OTA? because for 3 days now I'm unable to download the OTA due to the 503 error from the very first time I tried to download the update.
What is mind boggling to me is how Samsung the creator of the device has no idea of this update so they can't even help me out. Then they're basically telling me how the hell am I getting the 503 error when I have the latest build(according to them) and software update which is not the case here and I told them that.
Use the Odin file in the return to stock thread
I did the biggest mistake of updating my awesome S7 to the April update patch & now the Android System bug has hit my phone & nothing seems to work for me. Even formatting the phone is not working for me. Please can someone guide me on how to revert back to the March Firmware or is that even possible with samsung phones? This is my first samsung phone.
Have you tried flashing the current firmware using Odin? You should do a factory reset and then flash via Odin and snag your firmware from here. Make sure you get YOUR firmware, since there are quite a few different S7's running out in the wild!

Here is also a nice guide how to flash manually

Yep, android system bug after the April update.
I have given my device to samsung gallery let's see what do they have to say about it..Will get it on 18th of April. Will update this post. Thanks for the reply.
Is it possible to go back to the March update firmware? The link you have given is for Germany, I am from India which is not in the list any help on that? Thanks for the reply.
Hello, my s8+ says i am on the latest software but i know for sure there is a newer software. I alao tryed with SmartSwitch but i get the same message.
I am on build G955FXXU1AQDG, is there any way to force OTA update ?
I got the new update couple of day ago. My build # G995U1UEU2AQK2
My security patch is april and there r at least 3 updates for my build but my phone still says im on the latest.
Same for me, my friend got his update when he was literally standing near me. But for me, nothing. Once I got a notification that there is a software update, clicked on it, nothing happened...no updates since than, saying I'm on latest firmware. (Tried Smart Switch too, no update there either)
What is your build ?
During the black Friday offer for $400 on a trade in, I purchased a new ATT S8+ from Samsung.
The phone currently has the March security update, which is very old at this point. Software update claims that my phone is up to date. ATT has been no help. Restarting, deleting the cache partition, and even doing a factory reset have had no effect. The next step they offered was to wait 24 hours to see if them pushing the update to the phone works and then to put through a warranty claim.
I suspect the problem may be with ATT, as the S7 edge I upgraded from is stuck with the April security update. If this is the case, returning the phone for a new one will have no effect. Using the SIM that came with the phone rather than the one from the old phone wouldn't fix this, would it?
Is there some way to do the updates myself?
Go to a nearby best buy, they usually have a Samsung guy there that should be able to help you update your phone, or you could side load it, search these forms, many people should be able to guide you
Thanks, ended up using odin to install the current version. Now to see whether I get the next update properly when it comes out, or have to install that manually too.
Where did you find the odin files for the lastest update?

They everywhere over internet, just search for U2BQK5 for Samsung galaxy S8+. Firmware from any provider is exactly the same. Just flash 4 files in Odin with your provider sim card in. Best source is updato.com or sammobile.com
On Edge of Galaxy
I have an AT&T Galaxy S22 Ultra. For the past several weeks, I have been getting the following message when checking for updates: "software update interrupted, check again in 24 hours".
The message is the same whenever I check again on a following day. There are numerous threads about this on other forumns. AT&T is blaming Samsung and Samsung is blaming AT&T. No one yet has found a fix. Factory resets and clearing cache partition do not solve the problem. Perhaps the June update (which has not yet arrived) may fix it. If anyone in this forum has experienced the same or knows something I might have missed, please advise. WiFi is not the problem. Thanks.
I am experiencing the same, haven't found a fix as of yet. S22 Ultra, AT&T.
I HAVE A BRAND NEW S23 ULTRA WITH ATT.
SAME MESSAGE : " SOFTWARE UPDATE INTRERUPTED" IT HAS BEEN LIKE THAT AFTER THE UPDATE TO UI 5.1. NOTHING I DID MADE IT WORK.
IF ANYONE HAS A FIX PLEASE PLEASE EMAIL ME: [email protected]
THANK YOU
I have the same problem
To all that can't update your phones: Are you willing and open to use ODIN to "dirty flash" your OTA?
For those interested, here's a site I use to download firmware files: samfw.com
I have attached screenshots as a "walkthrough." I hopes this helps.
The issue resolved itself for me today; manually checked for an update and downloaded and installed the June 23 patch, CWE6, with no problem.

I got the same message as well and was worried until the update downloaded. But even after the update it shows the same message for a couple of days. Now it simply says no updates available. Maybe a server connection issue.
