Help with the OTA? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

So as you know 3 days ago a small OTA update came out for Verizon which is pretty much the same one AT&T received last month. On wifi I tried to download the update via OTA on the phone, my phone is not rooted and when I tried to download it it just failed in the middle of downloading and I got the error code 503. The wifi I'm using is very fast and steady and nothing else on the phone is having an issue at the moment. So I tried to download it again and it told me that the software currently installed on the phone(original phone release date software) is the newest up to date software. So I called Samsung and told them the situation along with the new build number "VRU1AOD5"(from the new OTA not installed on my phone yet) and software version number currently installed on the phone(5.0.2) and they told me that I'm up to date 5.0.2 and that to their knowledge they never heard of the update or build number I gave them and there was no update for Verizon. So how I can redownload the OTA? because for 3 days now I'm unable to download the OTA due to the 503 error from the very first time I tried to download the update.
What is mind boggling to me is how Samsung the creator of the device has no idea of this update so they can't even help me out. Then they're basically telling me how the hell am I getting the 503 error when I have the latest build(according to them) and software update which is not the case here and I told them that.

Please Help! I Think Sprint's Recent Evo4G Update 5.07.651.1 Messed Up My Phone!

To make a really long story short, after Sprint's recent ota 5.07.651.1 (the update that came with the Sprint connections optimizer) was installed on my phone, I could no longer download or update ANY apps on the android/google play market while connected to 4G. Went to the Sprint store to get it fixed, they tried and failed, got a new replacement handset with ota 5.07.651.1 already installed, same exact issue. Reached the conclusion that the update screwed things up. Downloaded and tried to use this RUU file to revert back to the old build right before this one (4.67.651.1):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484240
This was unsuccesful as the error message it gave me said:
ERROR [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
My hboot is 2.18.0001, is there a version of the above RUU file that is compatible with my bootloader version?

AT&T OTA Issues

Hello there.
I purchased my G4 in June or so of last year, and can't seem to get it to work with OTA updates. Phone is currently on 5.1, Kernal 3.19.49, Build LMY47D, Software version H81010e, Security software version MDF v1.1 Release 4. I have never attempted to flash or modify the phone, so it's been bone stock since the day I bought it.
I was out of the country and away from OTA updates from October 2015-March 2016, and since returning I havn't been able to get OTA to register an update is available using either the "Check for Updates" in Android, or LG Bridge on Windows. I didn't really put too much thought into it because of all the issues MM has/had, but now that Wi-Fi calling is available I'd really like to be able to update.
What would my best options be for getting the phone current and up to date with AT&T? I'd really like to avoid dealing with their repair services unless there is a good reason to go that route.
Thanks!
Update
Just in case someone finds this down the road with a similar problem, here's what I did.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-g4/general/att-h810-to-stock-guide-tot-method-t3248532
I followed that guide and manually updated from software version H81010e to software version H81010o. As soon as the software was updated, I checked for updates in settings as per usual and it immediately recognized and downloaded the OTA update from AT&T. Seems getting behind on software updates while out of country was preventing me from downloading new versions of Android.
Hey

SM-N915A AT&T 6.0 Update Fear! Please help!

Hey guys,
I have the SAMSUNG-SM-N915A model number and the stock version Build number LMY47X.N915AUCS2C017 Baseband version on my phone. It works like a charm after spending days trying other stock build version I found online that had so many problems restarting the phone over and over. AT&T is trying to force a software update to 6.0 on my phone which simply wont work as the regular software update bricks my phone for some reason. Is there a setting I'm missing the just tells the phone not to accept any software updates from AT&T? I'm almost positive this update will screw weeks of tinkering and I finally got it working with 5.1.1. I want it to stay this way. Any ideas?
Thanks

Go to settings/security.
You'll find the update settings in there IIRC.
closest thing I see too that is "security policy updates option which is already check off for automatic updates. It seems to be the Device management that's always trying to download the software update and force update. Is this a hidden stock application?

Sorry I took so long getting back.
It's been a while since my 5.1.1 days.
Check in the section that says about device.
You should find your updates on/off listed in there.
You might want to turn off the cloud sync'ing settings as well.

My S8+ G955F no OTA update

Hello, my s8+ says i am on the latest software but i know for sure there is a newer software. I alao tryed with SmartSwitch but i get the same message.
I am on build G955FXXU1AQDG, is there any way to force OTA update ?
I got the new update couple of day ago. My build # G995U1UEU2AQK2
My security patch is april and there r at least 3 updates for my build but my phone still says im on the latest.
Same for me, my friend got his update when he was literally standing near me. But for me, nothing. Once I got a notification that there is a software update, clicked on it, nothing happened...no updates since than, saying I'm on latest firmware. (Tried Smart Switch too, no update there either)
What is your build ?

[RESOLVED] Updating to Pie

Ok. I got an AT&T Galaxy Note 8 back in early-mid 2018. The first thing that happened when I booted it up and connected to a wifi hotspot was that it downloaded the latest update.
That was the last update I received.
I am trying to install Android P onto my device through Odin (Using 3.13.1B PatcheD). I tried OTA first, but when checking for updates, it says that my phone is up to date. I am currently on build U4CRD7.
I called AT&T and they told me that I have to contact Samsung to download the update, and also that it could be a hardware issue (?) and to possibly send it in to Asurion. After that, I called Samsung, and they told me I had to take it to the closest Best Buy. Now, I don't have a way to travel the ~30 miles to the closest one. So, I decided to try Odin. (I have used Odin before, so I am somewhat familiar with it)
I downloaded firmware version U7DTC1_USC from a post here on the forums. I placed all files in the correct areas, went to download mode, tried flashing, and failed. I've gotten three different fails. I changed cables and ports and failed. I tried downloading firmware version U7DSK3 and flashing that one, thinking I might have skipped too many updates (if that is a thing... I've read conflicting information). Failed.
The last failure was a "Complete(Write) operation failed"
Besides taking an expensive rideshare to the nearest Best Buy, is there something that I am missing in trying to update this phone? Could it be a hardware issue? Have I missed too many updates? Do I need to progressively update my phone? (I don't need answers to all these questions, just the most relevant answer please)
If I have posted this in the wrong area, I am sorry. This is my first post on XDA, and I usually don't post in forums anywhere, I just lurk and look for answers to my questions. I haven't been able to find a matching problem.
Edit:
More digging and I found this in another thread.

In further replies, he suggests updating to the firmware version that I am currently at. What is an "update version?" Do I need to just go one firmware update up? Do I need to go one BL version up?
Phone successfully updated
So, I downloaded firmware version U5DSC1, dug up my 10 year old laptop and switched from the patched version to the normal Odin3 3.13.1.
I don't know which change allowed the update, but I was able to update.
After U5DSC1, I had no problem updating to U7DTC1 through Odin (though the system update feature on the phone still did not pick up any updates after U5DSC1).

Your problem was simply because you were trying to use the patched version of Odin and should have just used the newest updated version of Odin. There's no reason to use the patched Odin to flash the normal firmware. People use the patched Odin when they're flashing modified firmware.
Edit: By the way, if it's an AT&T device and you're using say a T-Mobile or Verizon sim card it will not update unless you put an AT&T sim card back in it. It's apparently picky like that. For instance let's say it had AT&T firmware on it and you have a Verizon(or other) sim card in it, the phone is expecting to find and download the AT&T firmware for updates the problem is that Verizon(and others) do not carry AT&Ts firmware they only have their own versions of firmware that's the reason some people don't get updates.
