Given that there is no official TWRP file for Redmi S2 / Y2 - https://twrp.me/Devices/Xiaomi/,
I found the thread on the forum - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-to-flash-twrp-unofficial-and-root-redmi-y2-s2-ysl.3854906/, on how to "Flash TWRP (Unofficial) and Root Redmi Y2/S2";
and it seems possible to root Redmi S2 / Y2 without TWRP - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-magisk-root-without-twrp.3863402/,
but in either of the two cases, apparently among the replies, there were fewer success stories than incurred problems.
Where could be found the proper TWRP file to root Redmi S2 / Y2?
Or is there indeed some way to root Redmi S2 / Y2 without TWRP file?

I googled for various developer threads in hope of getting the best of this amazing phone,and I decided to drop them all into 1 XDA thread.

WARNING
-this ROM:http://www.needrom.com/download/star-n9002-mt6582/ is said to cause an irrepairable ghost touch issue after flashing and rebooting the device.To me it didnt occur because I rooted and installed CWM before it had the chance to reboot,and then I flashed back to a custom ROM(My device is an ULEFONE,not a STAR!)

I'm new to this stuff like flashing and updating roms, but now i can't get cwm recovery working on my phone after i updated it to VIBEUI_V2.8_1529_7.114.1_DEV_K50-T5. Before, when i tried that on previous versions it'd work but not anymore. I use adb to get my phone using cwm, but in the end i always end up in Lenovo-Recovery. When i try to downgrade my phone to previous version it doesn't let me to install it.
Edit: There is a problem with bootloader. Does anyone know how to unlock it?
2nd Edit: If you go to the updates stuff you can choose more stable version, downgrade it to VIBEUI_V2.5_1524_5.955.1_ST_K50-T5 which allows cwm recovery and rooting i think.
