Hello! I have 901SO too. Unfortunately, none of global rom doesn't work on my phone. I installed SOV41 ROM, it is AU version of Android 11....and it works fine!

clockwork works even with the .75 firmware.

I have not used PC companion
to my surprise. it was the super user. I did not lose root

It dosen't work with locked bootloader
Made an FTF out of the firmware for Xperia J yesterday first thing after receiving the phone.

(tested works, does not relock an unlocked bootloader)

see in the thread , lozohcum is fixing it . He had compile a Kernel which work but without cwm until he fix it .
can someone please mirror the D2303 file to mega or somewhere else as the google docs link fails for me

OTA? Not for me... It asked me to update via computer. Did anybody get this OTA?
I wonder why I could not update on the device itself? We could go from 4.2.x to 4.4.2 on the phone itself. Why not now? Did it alter partition table etc.?

i try to find its offical firmware in any way i can

It's available in Flash Tool through XperiFirm.
But you can also get one from here http://xperiastockrom.com/sony-xperia-z5-compact-e5803
Note: You need to flash this file to the phone with Flash Tool. But I assume you already know how to do that!

I was running the Vodafone UK rom, but it's so out of date I decided to flash over to the latest UK generic.
In doing so, i've lost the Xperia Messaging app.
Would any one happen to know where I can get this? I prefer it over the Android Messages app.
