xtrons IA91MTVL bluetooth issue - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

hello.... i have an Xtrons IA91MTVL running android 11...
pretty much everything works as expected except the phone... and the problem seems isolated to incoming calls.
i have my android phone running android 12 connected to the xtrons via bluetooth.... after i answer a phone call... the xtrons unit keeps ringing even after i'm talking to the person who called me... the phone pop up that draws over whatever app i was using when the phone rings doesn't work at all. i can't answer or end calls with it and when i end the call on my actual phone... the pop up stays on the screen. the only way i can get rid of it is by hitting the power button... which seems like it only sends the unit into standby... the pop up works fine with outgoing calls. any ideas?
speaking of the power button... i haven't figured out how to get it to reboot yet. my previous version of this unit had physical buttons and you would just hold the power button to get it to reboot... this one is the updated version with soft touch buttons... when i long press the power button it does nothing...

What does seller suggest when contacted for suppprt

waiting for their reply.

they replied and asked me for my order number but didn't really address my questions. i replied with the information they requested.

Is it an MTCD device. Post screen shots of Android system information including MCU version

i had to put this project on hold... but i am getting back to it now...
after a lot of back and forth with xtrons i have what i believe to be the correct firmware update for my unit and so i'm going to install that and once that's done i'll report back with sysinfo.

Can't always answer phone calls!!!

I held off from posting this, because I can't seem to find a reason why it's happening.
Basically, I'll get a phone call. I'm close to the phone, and have no problem answering it immediately. But maybe 3 out of 7-8 calls, I can't answer it. It'll just keep ringing until the calling party gets my voicemail. I hit the green phone button, the left menu button (for answer), even the word "answer" on the bottom of the touch screen itself. No matter what I do, the call will not pick up. Keep in mind, there is no Bluetooth involved. If I do happen to have a bluetooth earpiece on, I can hear the call ringing in the earpiece, but pressing the action button doesn't pick up the call like it should.
I'm at my wits end here. What could possibly be causing this?

Is your memory getting junky? I presume that the call application takes a lot of memory that it got full and had nothing left to take your response back Im not sure though. Do you ever get complaints like no signs of an Incomming call when people call you? I get it sometimes and still exploring to find a solution.
Regards,
Carty..
The only 3rd party app I have installed is Opera Mobile. I only run it when I need it, and always use the "exit" option. I keep my phone as fresh as possible by killing unnecessary apps. The only things that stay open are my threaded message chat and Outlook.
As for your missed call (straight to voicemail), this happens to everyone not on 3g. For some reason, voice calls will not go through when there is net access. I don't know why this phone can't prioritize. My BB Pearl had no problem with that. If I was loading a webpage, it would simply pause the download and the phone would ring. Not sure, but maybe it has something to do with EDGE. I don't think the Treo 750 has EDGE capability...
The 750 definetly has EDGE, but it's usually CDMA phones with 1x that have the issue of not being able to take a phone call while transfferring data. It does sound like you could have another lemon 750 on your hands.

My experience wasn't as bad as yours. It just took a very long time between seeing the ringing icon and the time the phone actually rings, and then a long time between pressing the answer button and the time the call started.
I upgraded to WM6 and from the few calls I received since it appears the problem is now resolved and the 750 behaves like a normal phone.
Hope this helps.
Y.

I am having the same problem if you come up with a fix please let me know. the only thing I found that helps is to make your phone ring longer to give you a better shot at answering. here is a link to this fix

how to stop my device (wm6.1) from waking up when BT is pressed

Hi,
It gets really annoying when I return home and notice that while I was driving I accidentally send some e-mails and made some phone calls to unknown and known people...
This has happened because the BT answer button was pressed, the phone woke up, and it was "touched" in various places making a "costly" mess.
I have also installed S2U with S2A but still the phone wakes up..
How can I stop this???
any help will be appreciated!
PS: I use a Touch Diamond.
I guess either there is not a way to do that, or my mediocre english didn't help anyone understand my problem...
Do you have any third party software installed? If yes, most probably it's due to software incompatibility that caused your diamond to react in this manner.
"HKLM/Software/OEM/VoiceCommand/Path" is what is carried out when the bluetooth button is pressed. Just delete or change the value.
Next time use the q&a section for this type of query.

remaping

hello everyone
i am hoping that you guys will be able to help me out. i have an xtrons head unit 10.1 inch double din running 5.1 firmware. i reached out to the people that sold it to me about updating to a newer firmware and they told me i can only update the software. they sent me a file that would update my software with instructions. i updated my unit now the back light that lights up the touch buttons does not work neither does the power, volume up, down or home the back button does work but instead of going back it raises the volume. i can not turn the head unit off only when the car ignition gets turned off. i tried to use a remapping app but it doesn't seem to find the buttons that i want to remap. the sellers are not offering any help because it is 3 months past the warranty. xtrons told me the radio is discontinued and are also not offering any help this is what was on the file they sent HH 通用机安卓5.1(20170307)_rk3188_5.1.rar
p.s i also attached a photo of the info that the radio has i am not sure if when i updated it if it changes the info. thanks for any help that you guys can provide
Have you tried going into the factory settings and entering the touch calibration menu?
If you go to settings, factory settings (password is "126" without the quotes) and go to the touch panel calibration there's one to calibrate the touch screen and another one that says "touch panel" or front panel.
Play around with that menu and that should solve your problem.
thanks for helping me as fast as you did. it did work i also found a video on YouTube that might help other with this same problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I27cjq0SUTk

Question Pixel 7 pro, While incoming calls , can not turn off display by pressing power button.

I find myself in a situation where I receive an incoming call that I am neither willing to accept nor decline. In such instances, I attempt to turn off the display by pressing the power button. However, the display reactivates almost instantly. Other phone models allow the user to turn off the display by pressing the power button, and the display remains off until the user presses the power button again
Ah yes, the old problem of if you decline it, then they know you declined it because it doesn't ring the right number of times. Trying to pretend to your wife that you're driving when you're doing something you shouldn't be doing?
Just kidding, but
There's no way to change that behavior.

Perhaps my post may be of some help:
How to reset the touch buttons instructional
This thread is not asking how to reset the touch buttons down the side of the panel screen. First go to Settings... Car.. Factory settings.. password 126 Then touch Key study category at the top Next Touch Key Study First the system will want...
forum.xda-developers.com
@RokkoHB please post a screenshot of the About system page showing Android version and MCU version. We have no idea what version you updated to.
You may need to directly contact Dasaita for a firmware update to get your head unit back to the way it was before you updated. It is a good idea to have a copy of the firmware version you had before updating and a copy of the update you want to update to. Otherwise it's hit or miss getting things back the way they were.
Also be sure the firmware updates you are applying are known to fix a specific issue you are currently having. Upgrading just to get a higher version number can unintentionally break a lot of stuff.

That is the problem that my tutorial post attempts to solve.
Did you try going thru the tutorial steps? The tutorial will help you reconfigure those touch buttons. I believe if the rest of the touch screen works, then those touch buttons will work if you go thru and re-establish the button configurations using the tutorial. Be sure to touch on the red numbers that appear on screen as this step actually establishes the touch screen x,y calibration.
