XT2113-2 (Comcast Variant)
Network Unlocked.
- Verizon SIM works great, but only 4G LTE (as expected).
- T-Mobile SIM works great, 5G.
- AT&T SIM shows "no network". Tested SIM in my OnePlus phone and it worked great, 4G LTE.
Is this... expected? Something I didn't know about this model before I bought it?
Are your sure about the model? I just got an XT2113-2 which is supposedly the TM variant - not Comcast - from all I have read:
5 = ATT
https://www.att.com/device-support/article/wireless/KM1429265/Motorola/MotorolaXT21135
-1 = Verizon (under specs)
https://www.verizon.com/smartphones/motorola-one-5g-uw-ace/
-2 = TM
-3 = International?
seemingly no -4 variant
read only -2 + -3 can unlock boot loader
Anyhow, I tried putting a Red Pocket/Verizon SIM into this phone and got nothing, nada. I checked with RP and they said the IMEI would not work on Verizon. I checked the Verizon IMEI check page and it too says NO to my IMEI.
So I am really interested to find out if you really have the -2 variant and how it might work on Verizon.
Thanks for any info you can provide...

I checked and it true, XT2113-2 Comcast variant is supported on Verizon while TMO/Metro variants are not. Both should work in AT&T though.

I have been searching for an answer and have not gotten a clear and definitive answer. Does the T-Mobile Note Edge variant work on all AT&T LTE networks without issue after being unlocked? According to tbr Samsung website both models have the same bands with the t-mobile Edge have 2 additional bands
I have the att model but would really like to be part of the dev community. I have a week and a half to return my att model. I would buy the t-mobile model if it works completely on the networks. Anyone out there using a t-mobile Edge on ATT. Thanks

Think I can help answer a few Qs.
Am using a Straight Talk sim (ATT) in my T-Mo Note Edge. Getting 8-15+ mb/s down...2-4 mb/s up (more than enough for me). Followed rooting method posted by TekHD. Did not see unlock procedure for T-Mo Edge.
T-Mo does hold your unlock hostage for 2+ months or $100 (didn't see this stated and argued). Unlocked through a reputable unlocker through fleabay (~$24 I think - Tmo also recommended...go figure).
Hope this helps.
Wish someone can release a qualcomm kernel w OC/UV/governors and thermal control soon...

Yes, Using one right now. You do not need to unlock it at all it will work right out of the box with an AT&T sim as will all T-Mobile Phones.. This has been a thing for years. There might be some obscure T-Mobile phones without perfect LTE Band or Data support. Every major model will work perfect with absolutely no unlock don't waste your money. I actually called T-Mobile before throwing my gophone sim into the Note Edge T-Mobile variant and cautiously asked if they will blacklist the imei of a phone that is using an AT&T sim. The T-Mobile representative kindly, calmly, and with conviction said that no you will not have your device blacklisted, and that all T-Mobile phones should work out of the box on AT&T. Enjoy not paying for an unlock code! I'll upload pictures of my note edge running AT&T data services via an AT&T gophone sim if you don't believe me. It actually put the APN information in for me automatically too! Meaning I did not have to enter in carrier specific AT&T APN, the software on the Note Edge T-Mo variant picked up the different carrier and entered the APN settings automatically. Woot woot

strange. I have my att sim in a SM-N915T on 6.0.1 N915TUVS2DPG2 and it says network locked.
Will an unlocked TMobile version of this phone work on an existing Verizon line without having to ask verizon to white list the imei or add cdma less etc?

I have Unlocked T-mobile A71 5G, It works on Verizon network like 4G LTE (just swap the SIM card even I have 5G Sim card from Verizon) but NO 5G because they are using different 5G Band.
I have the same question, but on cricket wireless, I can't get the phone to login to their network
It works just fine on any GSM/LTE network. I have not checked this personally for this device, but depending on the variant you have, you may be missing some LTE or 5G bands specific Verizon. You may not get full performance. That must be verified though.
I am using a sim unlocked T-Mobile A71 5g with a cricket sim. VoLTE does not work. If I flash the AT&T firmware onto this will it allow VoLTE to work? Will it relock the sim unlock? (I highly doubt that is the case, but want to cover my tail.) Will it allow me to use LTE band 66?
Thanks
HOw is Cricket not blocking your acccount? I bought one for my mom and its unlocked for ATT network and it works for like 5 mins and then says its not compatible. I masked imei with ed exposed and still cant get it too.

Hey if it's rooted you can use short cut master lite and open Cid manager and it will change your csc and network you can pick AIO which is Cricket .
I am not rooted. I heard that that google pay and Netflix quit working if you root a phone. Haven't tried rooting a phone in the last 3 or 4 years. Kinda out of the game.
I am having a similar issue. My phone is an unlocked T-mobile and on AT&T TOGO. I keep getting my outgoing calls redirected to AT&T cust srvc. They say my phone is not VoLTE capable and therefore will not work after 3G sunset. T-mobile support site says VoLTE is enabled by default, just that there are no settings to turn it on or off. Wondering whether it's safe to flash with AT&T ROM? Or maybe generic Samsung ROM if available?
Please I'm in Nigeria, i bought this A71 5G front a vendor at second hand. But my local sim card won't work on the phone.
How do i unlock sim?
I have the USA (XQ-BQ62) XPeria 5 III. I got it today.
I am an AT&T customer but I am currently in Canada. I have a plan that covers free roaming to Canada.
The Xperia 5 III isn't sold in Canada, I bought it from the US.
Before I got the phone I checked [AT&T's list](https://www.att.com/idpassets/images/support/pdf/Devices-Working-on-ATT-Network.pdf) of supported phones. It lists the XPeria 5 III under "will still work on our network after we phase out 3G in February 2022" but it is not listed as one of their 5g supported phones.
I had a confusing series of conversations with AT&T reps where one told me I needed a new SIM card, and then a second one told me I did not, and then I called back and a third person checked my IMEI/ICCID and said I had a version 27 SIM and version 27 is the minimum supported. OK.
If I punch in the magic *#*#4636#*#* code, it says I'm on the LTE data and voice* networks, and that the provider is Bell. It says "NR available: False".
My "preferred network type" is NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA.
If I switch "preferred network type" to "NR only", I simply get Data Service: Disconnected.
(One funny thing, if I switch to NR Only, then switch back to NR/LTE/GSM/WCDMA, for a brief second it shows "NR Available: True". But then it jumps to LTE.)
If I go to "Access Point Names" in the mobile settings, the only option is the one selected, "ATT Nextgenphone" / "nxtgenphone". Nothing else is listed.
I know I'm kind of cheating here by using a phone that isn't even available in Canada, with a SIM from a provider that doesn't support the phone.
But, is there any way to get the network to give me 5G?
[This page](https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/CA/sony-xperia-5-iii) shows band compatibility for different carriers, it lists Bell and Rogers and has two different entries for "Global" and "America" which I think refers to the US [XQ-BQ62] vs International [XQ-BQ72] model numbers for the 5 III. The "America" line shows it supports the correct frequencies on both Bell and Rogers and "Global" says it is supported on Bell but not Rogers. (I used to get Rogers while on the AT&T roaming but recently it switched to Bell.)
[This page](https://www.phonemore.com/specs/sony/xperia-5-iii/xq-bq62/) says the XQ-BQ62 supports the 66 and 71 bands which are the ones crossed out for the "Global" entry on the other page.
This seems to suggest the phone "can" get 5G here (even on Bell) and if I'm not getting 5G it's because I don't have permission somehow.
* But the last person I spoke to at AT&T said maybe VOLTE would not work anymore if I went back to the US. Guess I'll find out!?
I wonder if you ever resolved the 5G issue in Ontario. I too have the XQ-BQ62 on Telus; however, I have never been able to connect this phone to 5G networks.
I'm wondering if flashing any of the firmwares on XperiFirm would work.
ok so i have this new s22 ultra SM-S908U and it was connected with Verizon wireless originally. cricket when doing an IMEI check said it was not compatible, I called and Customer service confirmed it was not compatible due to network band differences. i decided to try using the cricket sim anyways and it worked for about a hour then cricket locked the sim and i had to get another sim,
Does anyone know if and how to get this to work on cricket if possible? I did try this band unlock
( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ies-including-sub-6-and-mmwave.4488435/page-5 )
also but not sure if i did it right it locked the new sim and again i had to get another one.,
Also I did check with verizon and the phone is sim unlocked
