A friend has a Samsung phone and for the past 3 days it has been opening different webpages on ertrogames.com (not a typo). Is anyone else experiencing this? He can't find what app is doing it, but it's happening every 5 minutes afaik.
Any suggestions as to how to stop or find the source?

Can you go into play store and post what apps have updated over the last 48 hours? It might help to narrow down a possible app update that has now started to do this.

I have had the same problem and noticed it was switching me to the Samsung internet browser, which I didn't normally use. There is an option to discontinue the Samsung browser, which I did and the problem is solved!
Has anyone found the solution to this problem?

Same problem here. I don't even have Samsung, have Xiaomi. So I think it's like Chrome problem or? Do you mean that you are being sent to the Play Store to install the Samsung Internet Browser?? If this is the case it is telling that whatever malicious app is doing this, it is some form of insecurity mechanism of the samsung browser that is being exploited.
I had the same, ertrogames.com popup and also a freeze frame with black square and a coloured ring in it.
i removed the app YOSHION pic collage maker, and now i haven't seen pop ups for a day now!
Same for me and I'm hopeful as well as no pop ups since I removed this morning !

Install the apps as ordered by filename then reboot for good measure

If you are having issues getting it to work you can try the following:
1. Install Seven.apk (attached below)
2. Put UnifiedInbox.apk (attached below) in /system/app/ using the following code:

3. Reboot
This should get it working and you can then update to the latest version using the first two files

Still no luck. Now it just sits spinning with "In progress...." but eventually times out with "Connection Failed" or "Your action took too long to complete and timed out. Please try again."
I was able to run the previous version of Samsung Mail without any trouble. Successfully connected to Exchange Servers without issue. Seems this new version is not going to work for me. Thanks.

Maybe can try Mercury Messenger or Trillian for Android. Both these apps work prety well; only problem is they are battery drainer. Samsung IM on the other hand pushes so theoritically less battery usage but it doesn't update friends list as often. Problem I faced with this IM is when I logged on to MSN and a friend logged on few minute later, the list is not updated; hence, IM show my friend as not logged on (offline). Mercury or trillian on the other hand updated it almost immediately. Anyway, it could be just me.

To be honest I haven't had that lag issue...
One of my favourite features about Samsung IM is that it is real-time push as you said...
The only [strange] thing I've found is that my Favourites group only includes 1 of the 6 people that are actually in the group (I haven't changed this recently so it's not a problem of the update taking time to reflect)
Is there an easy way to push apk files with abd. I searched for a tutorial for how to use it and i can't find one with easy instructions.
I used it when i first got my vibrant but with all of the aio tools i forgot how to manually push the apk.
If anyone have any suggestions kindly let me know. Thanks

I found the easiest way to push and pull files (via ADB) is to use Android Commander.
You could also refer to the ADB for Dummies guide

I've been working on this for a week. Making the layout using HTML and CSS3 was easy, but I got a lot of problems while trying to make the code work on Android, so I took a bit more to match the code for Android. At the time I can't find another way to open up the videos without firing up the browser to redirect to the Video application, the OS has a lot of problems with HTML5 Video tag so I've done it like this.

Hi, don't know if this is just me but the app doesn't work for me. I get no response when i click on the icon. I am running a DHD with CM7 in case that helps. I'll give the normal verion a go now and see if that works.
EDIT: I uninstalled and installed the 'normal' phone version, i get a bit further: a black screen and then an application error "THe connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)"

First Problem: I'm trying to solve this. Strangely PhoneGap is having bugs to work on some ROMs.
Second Problem: That means the app took too long to contact the server(usually because your connection is slow at the time). Just try again and it might work.

I have the same problem as in the "EDIT:" above...
The "The connection to the server was unsuccessful. (file:///android_asset/www/index.html)" problem will be rolling out tomorrow, since it's a server fix and I'll only have time to do it tomorrow, this is happening because your connection might be slow and the app is trying to fetch the entire XDA TV library(all the episodes since the first one), which is causing timeouts. The solution will be to remove the very very old episodes, making the list smaller and reducing the problems with timeouts.
A new version of the app might come out later that will support reading the "old archive", which will be created tomorrow.
PS: I'm having tests this week on the university, plus I need to work, so I'm not having much time to develop

The feed doesn't seem to be updating on this app. Been checking it for a bit now and it doesn't update while there are newer episodes out. The last one showing on this app is "Nexus, Ice Cream Sandwich, and a Contest to win an HTC Amaze 4G", which is a bit outdated. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi there,
Sorry for the inconvenience. There are two possible reasons for this issue:
1. There are problems with your 3G connection. You can try connecting to a stable WiFi network, then start a fresh Gear Instant session to see if it works. If it does, then your 3G might be either slow at that time (images still being downloaded but not pushed to the watch yet) or unstable that it could not get any response from Instagram server.
2. The wearable app cannot connect to the phone side. This is a known bug in Samsung mobile sdk. Try toggling Bluetooth on/off on both the watch and the phone to see if it helps.
Remember, always start a new session of the app when you have trouble. To exit the current session, swipe down from the top edge of the screen.

Also, when you launch the wearable app, open the My File app on your Samsung device, check the folder named .Gearstagram to see if there are pictures there.

i tried connecting to internet with my HomeBased Wifi and 3G but the folder is empty!
after all i found the problem !!!!!!!! :

I've got a gear S3, it was working fine since the day,I notice the screen is off, but the watch was connected to the phone via Bluetooth and I can gear sounds off notifications in the watch.
The touch screen was responding as well as the bezel. I turned the watch on and off several times until the screen come back, but it start first from pixel to white screen.
It was looking like an old TV with some pixels like noise. And finally stabilize to normal.
I've found some threads like that but none have solutions or details why this is happening. Only due to watchmaster, application that I don't have
Does anyone got solution or idea about that problem?
FYI I have the latest Tizen 2.3.2.1 APK6

Static on screen is caused by watchmaster, even if you don't have watchmaster app itself, some of the popular watch faces in store (Detector by Liongate or Timeless by Pluto etc.) actually comes with their own watchmaster embedded. Try with a stock watchface.

This is what watchmaster is causing, you problem is different tho, either your display connection is bad or your battery is swelling
Is there any guide to open and disassembly? I bought it from another country. no way to get it replaced

Call Samsung and speak with them. "Usually" they can tell if it is still under warranty and will fix it. It doesn't matter where you bought it. ymmv
It doesn't hurt to try.
Have you done a factory reset?
If the screen is unresponsive, this is done by holding done the Home button until it says "Rebooting" then tapping the button continuously until the boot up menu appears, then tapping it down to the "Reset" option.

Oh, I think you can see a "Send feedback" button on crash. Otherwise I don't really know how to get the log.

If you go to the "Developer options" in your phone and press on the "Take bug report" and select "Full report" and press the "Report" button, you will send the bugs to Google Play, I think.

Thanks. I'm using it now. Indeed the paid version worths.
There are quite some options to show the battery overlay.
I just suggest that we have a transparent background in the ones which are black.
Also, the version with a yellow bar in the top (+ the black background) that is the "last" option would be perfect if the yellow bar length reflects the battery level too (not just the color).
The vertical bar at left is very good (just if we can control the width as, right now, it's too thin to be seen).

1)*In KK it is not even possible to get into the app, it makes a fc*
2) IN my J7 2016 with MM,*when rebooting or turning on the device, the battery percentage doesnt appear, it is necessary to get into the app in order it appears again, even if the option "stable mode" is selected
3) I would like not to have a persistent notification (battery dash is running) in my status bar, I have to disable all notifications for this app in order imake this notification dissapear from my status bar
