Hi all!
My latest app, Gear Instant for Instagram, is now available in the Gear app store. It's an Instagram client that lets you view your photo feed, explore images around the world, and see images of specific users.
Here are the features available in the initial release:
- Access Home feed (latest photos of users you follow).
- Explore popular images around the world.
- See photos of an user (Load profile).
- See each image's like count and the message.
- Like/unlike photos.
- Refresh sections for new content.
- [Upcoming] Follow or unfollow an user.
Warning: videos cannot be played at the moment. They will be displayed as still images.

Hi there,
Sorry for the inconvenience. There are two possible reasons for this issue:
1. There are problems with your 3G connection. You can try connecting to a stable WiFi network, then start a fresh Gear Instant session to see if it works. If it does, then your 3G might be either slow at that time (images still being downloaded but not pushed to the watch yet) or unstable that it could not get any response from Instagram server.
2. The wearable app cannot connect to the phone side. This is a known bug in Samsung mobile sdk. Try toggling Bluetooth on/off on both the watch and the phone to see if it helps.
Remember, always start a new session of the app when you have trouble. To exit the current session, swipe down from the top edge of the screen.

What's the exact message that you see in the app? A picture of the message is much appreciated. Thanks!
Also, when you launch the wearable app, open the My File app on your Samsung device, check the folder named .Gearstagram to see if there are pictures there.

i Decompiled Your PhoneSide Application And The Source is OK !
but the .Gearstagram Folder is Empty on My SGS5 !
i tried connecting to internet with my HomeBased Wifi and 3G but the folder is empty!
after all i found the problem !!!!!!!! :
Huge Number and Large Photos on my feed , so i tried logging in with another user and check Instagram Popular Photos Around The World and thats is ! It's WORKED !!!!!!

Has this been removed from the Gear store? I saw it last week, but just did a search for "Instagram" and all that came up was an unrelated app (CameraAce for Gear).
took long time to load ....
I can still find it.
But as far as I know, paid apps shouldn't get attention on this forum.

Sorry to hear it's been crashing for you PollPixx. We're pretty sure we've identified the problem and a fix will be rolling out in the next few days.
Hotzigetty: we made a conscious decision to keep version 1.0 very light on settings.
You can adjust all the basic Twitter stuff under Profile -> Edit Profile. Notifications are definitely in the pipeline, but not yet available in 1.0

Hi there!
A simple restart of the app should fix that problem. "Unable to load profile" usually means that Twitter's API is being a bit unstable.
If that doesn't help, try doing doing a "Clear data" from the application settings and re-authenticating with Twitter.

Can't seem to reproduce that on our dev devices. Which phone / firmware are you running?
A widget is another thing that's in the works, but we have a bunch of stuff (including notifications) we want to get done before that.
Ok..maybe the image is too big?
Thanks for this app. I think if it gets some updates that it would be a fine replacement for all the other twitter apps in the play store. Keep up the good effort!

Twitter does have an upper bound on profile image size, but the picture should be getting automatically resized when you pick it from the gallery. At what exact point in the flow does the app crash? Before or after choosing a picture from the gallery?

I'm one of the Tweagle devs and the Wifi turning on is actually not a bug. It's mentioned in the popup after the app has been installed Tweagle uses the Walkbase indoor positioning library (which requires WiFi) to find locations and tweets that are nearby.
One of the cool things we are doing with Tweagle is making it possible to follow locations that interest you, and that's where we need the Walkbase library.
I get that it's weird to have WiFi just turn on like that, but we thought the pros would outweigh the cons (i.e. better results). We are currently planning how to make an opt out option for this.

Yep, uploading to Groups and Events is on my todo list.
Exporting a photo from dropbox to photup, crashes the latter. I've sent you a couple of crash reports.
I like it so far, although i wish i could just upload photos to the predifined "Mobile Uploads" album that the official facebook app uses.
This application has some potential there, keep it up

Regarding the Mobile Uploads album, that's a special album that 3rd party albums aren't allowed to upload to.

This tool will help you track a number's activity on WhatsApp , the app will give you exact details of a user's activity even when LastSeen is set to nobody and the app does not require WhatsApp to run .
The app will display a log of All activity and a log of the current day activity .
To track a number simply add the contact and let the tracking begin . If the number is already being tracked data will be displayed directly , but if the number is new , you will need to wait some time until it gets verified which usually takes 4 to 7 minutes. Now when tracking a new number , the data will not be displayed directly , you need to wait until the user is online . As soon as the user gets online the app will show at what time he got online and if user is still online , the app will say "Still Online" , once the user is offline the app will display at what time the user got offline.

Q:Will the app show me online on WhatsApp ?
A:The app does not require whats app to load , so it will not take you online.
Q:Why is the data not showing for valid user ?
A:Maybe the user has WhatsApp+ installed and the LastSeen was hidden.
Q:Why is the log time incorrect?
A:Make sure your phone's date and time are correct.

The app is great, but the email password recovery should be optional. The way it is ruins any security the app offers. If someone is using my tablet then they have access to my email and thereby my "private" videos/pictures.

I have seen Desplash crashing in my father's phone if I download Desplash from Google play store. But if I download the APK directly, it doesn't crash. android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: To check, if you're connected to the internet or not.
android.permission.SET_WALLPAPER: To set wallpapers automatically.
android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To save Images into your phone/external memory.
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK: To check if your phone is locked or not.

Troubleshooting

Its says not available in my country
Hey p3, first of all ty for the app!
I have the "unavailable in my country" limitation too, so I installed it from the provided apk.
Can you provide some tips? I got some issues on a stock Pixel 2 XL running Pie AOSP: on screen unlock no changes at all and if something changes I got an image cut (only upper part content is downloaded, pitch black the remaining image part).
Settings used:
Nature/Portrait/High/On/Both/Off/Off

I have heard on the Play Store listing that it has ads. If so, would you consider doing something like Resplash has done?
No ads, plus tip jar. If you can do both then I'll reconsider.

It has been ads free for 1 month. Now it contains ads but it you can remove ads easily without paying...

Well, it depends fully on your network speed. It takes less than a second for me to change the wallpapers everytime...

My network is pretty fast when i open lock my network monitor shows 4MB/s and its goes to 0 KB/s and it takes time to set the wallpaper. i think its because of zenui
