Question Connecting to Windows - Huawei P50 Pro

Hi, i have big problems connecting my P50 PRO to windows computers. Windows 10 and 11 only opens HiSuite but device itself is not recognized, showed only as MPT device (with yelow triangle).
I tried several drivers not to mention windows update but no luck. Only with installed HiSuite it works.
Why P40 and P40 PRO+ works perfectly in MTP mode, but P50 PRO doesnt?
It is global version with HDB Enabled and EMUI 12.0.1 (Snapdragon)

Have you tried it with another Data cable because it's most of the time a faulty data cable, or go to Developer settings, go to Networking and under "Tethering Hardware Acceleration" you'll see "Select USB Configuration" you can change the device options in there.

Yes, i have tried multiple data cables. It doesnt work...
maybe something in the phone that i am missing?

Hi, still the same after factory reset phone, different computer
Is it normal for P50 Pro to needs "special care" with connecting to PC?

HiSuite does not connect to my Honor 8 (I found a clue about why).

Hello,
I've had this phone connected to HiSuite before, but I've since formatted my harddrive and have had to reinstall it. Now, they do not connect.
After trouble shooting the basic stuff, I ended up looking at the Vendor ID and Product ID of the device. The PID is 170E. When I scanned the driverinfo in the HiSuite installation, it shows that it supports 1701 through 170C but not higher (for the 1700s). So this looks like a good reason why the driver won't connect properly (it shows up as a USB Shared Device in device manager).
I let HiSuite update itself so I am current. Has anyone seen this?
Figured it out. Something I omitted, but shouldn't have, is that I am running HiSuite through a virtual machine. I noticed the USB settings were stuck on USB v1. I had to set Virtualbox up to work with USB 2.0 and after that the drivers work as expected, etc. For your information.
I didn't want anything Huawei or the dc unlocker tool on my main computer so i did this in a vm.

Connetcing to PC with no original cable

Has anyone got similar problem, that windows can't recognise P30 whet it's connected by any other cable than original from the set? I tried on 3 different cables such as original from P9, Original from Honor and cable from UGREEN. I didn't have such problem with my P9 ever.

No, but developer options keeps resetting my choice of USB connection, when I choose "MTP media transfer" it resets back to "Charge Only" after some time

Mi note 10 wont connect to PC

So my ZTE Axon 7 connects fine to my pc.
HOWEVER my Mi Note 10 Will NOT.
When using ADB (command: adb devices) the response is " list of devices attached" without there being a device listed.
I enabled USB debug in the developer options and set the device to MTP (file transfer).
I have also tried the various other options regarding USB debugging.
Among others:
USB debugging Install via USB
USB debugging (security settings)
verify apps over USB
verify bytecode of debuggable apps
I tried installing the ADB drivers, i get a code 10 error (this device can not start) on the Android ADB device.
So does trying to connect a new phone to windows 10 give problems for others?
Look in the device manager from windows. Maybe u must install the driver manual. Sometimes windows choice the wrong driver
Sent from my Mi Note 10 using XDA Labs
Might seem a stupid question, but are you connecting through a usb hub? Or directly with pc? I had that issue where connecting through a usb hub didn't work
Thanks for the replies guys.
I connected directly to both the front USB plugs (pc case USB plugs) as well directly to the motherboard USB plugs.
Indeed when i connected my ZTE the pc downloaded and installed the driver automatically.
However the Mi note 10 wont.
It is however updated from MIUI 11 with Android 9 to MIUI 12 with Android 10.
I did find out that the file manager can do FTP and i can connect through WIFI and exchange files. Still, i'd like to connect directly.
Also because i want to record video with my back cam and view it on my monitor (mainly to be sure im actually in the vid )

So i tried xiaomi support. theyre not very good. They recommende using a different computer and running the hardware tests in the phone.
I did both, using a different computer didnt make a difference. Running the tests gave only good results.
I then connected to the pc using my old cable and hey presto it connects.
So ive asked Mi for a new cable.

Problems connecting Oneplus 6 to Windows 10

Hi all,
I've recently purchased a S20 FE 5G, so I'm looking to move all my files from my previous Oneplus 6 (not unlocked/rooted, no TWRP etc) onto the S20 FE. The OP6 is backed up to Google One, but there's quite a bit of content that doesn't appear to be there, so I was going to connect both devices to my laptop and move across via USB.
The S20 FE causes my laptop to immediately play the "USB connected" sound and the phone offers the usual PTP/MTP type options, and the phone appears in device manager, but when connecting the Oneplus 6 with the same cable, there's nothing. No sound, no storage options, nothing in device manager.
I've got developer options enabled, I've played with different "default USB options" and OTG storage, I've since used two different USB-C>USB-A cables, connected to multiple different USB ports on two different Windows 10 computers (both are Windows 10 Home v2004), and nothing at all. No unknown/portable/android devices in device manager... I see heaps of forum posts about installing random USB drivers off all sorts of different sites, but there's not even an unknown device to be able to install the drivers onto...
Any suggestions? I think at this stage I'll probably just upload everything missing to Google One and download it onto the new phone, but I am curious as to why the OP6 doesn't appear in Windows at all.
Thanks!

Is This a Hardware Problem? Phone Not Recognized by Windows

Pixel 4a running Android 12, build SQ1A.211205.008. When I connect my Pixel 4A to my Windows 10 PC, the phone is not recognized by Windows. The message in Windows specifically reads: "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows did not recognize it." If I go into USB preferences on the phone, I cannot change any of the settings, for example selecting "File transfer / Android Auto"
Another Pixel 4a phone using the same cable connects with no problem and the USB preferences can be adjusted.
This may sound like a dumb question, but have you tried rebooting your phone and trying it again?
Have you tried a different cable? Do you have the correct USB drivers installed?
I did try connecting with two other cables. Also tried connecting with the phone running in Safe Mode. The last thing I tried was a factory reset of the phone. That did not fix it, either.
Iam having the same problem has anyone found any fixes.
