hello everyone,
can someone confirm if a 16 gb ram exynos or snapdragon really exist ??!
No there is not any version with 16gb RAM
Looks like a sticker added on top
12GB Max
You can increase the RAM through VRAM, but both Exynos and Snapdragon versions are having 12Go of physical RAM in their respective higher configuration's options.

Hello,
I have a tablet GOClever TAB T75 and I have a strange caracteristics and specifications about it.
Android OS 4.0.3/4GB flash memory/512MB RAM
Hardware is:
Memory: 29F32G08CBACA [Micron Technology - MT] - 1pc on motherboard
RAM: HYNIX H5TQ2G83CFR - 2 pcs on motherboard
Correct me if I am wrong.
Flash memory some internet pages reports that is 4GB some 8GB.
For RAM I go straight to manufactor web site it's 2GB DDR3 ram module and tablet motherboard have 2pcs.
So my question is why Android OS showing only 4GB Flash memory (I think this is ROM - correct me if I am wrong) and 368MB ram (usable) and 512MB (total RAM) where on motherboard are 2pcs of HYNIX memory 4GB RAM?
Any advice and explanation?
Thank you
anyone????
Well what is your question?
If u got the tablet sold to you as a 4 GB. That is the whole system and storage total. Usually partitioned into 3 or 4 partitions.
Not really sure what u are asking, them Chinese tablets are made by about 100 different companies. Ram isn't removable if that is what your thinking

I'm kind of confused.
The tablet is 4Gb of internal storage and 512Mb of RAM. There's really nothing more to be said. Android is only showing that because that's what is there. If you got scammed that's another issue - but if it was sold to you as 4Gb flash memory and 512Mb RAM then that is what you do have.
Like ronedogg said, the 4Gb is all the internal memory, including space for your ROM (software that makes the tablet run). That's all there is to report because that's all there is.
The RAM might be "2 pieces" of 254Mb RAM. It's not 2Gb - even if you have a copy of a tablet that's supposed to have 2Gb RAM you do not have that, you have 512Mb RAM. Nobody is putting 2 pieces of 4Gb RAM in Android tablets - you only see that in Windows tablets that have Intel processors and tend to be very expensive. Did you pay over $1000USD for this tablet ? I hope not. :silly:
Your RAM is probably 2 modules of 254Mb RAM, if it's even "2 pieces" at all. Generally when reporting RAM they will tell you total RAM, not some number that you multiply, anyway.
Hello,
Thank you for informations. I payed less then 80USD for tablet (used - not new).
Even that tablet have 512MB ram when it's on Android shown Total Mem.: 368,36MB ram (used for OS around 150MB) so Free ram that I can use is only around 200MB (on stock rom).
So that's I am confused why have 512MB of ram and usable only 200MB. Or it's just SW blocked???
In attachment are specs for module.
Thank you
BR
Well, what is the Ram that is being used going toward? The system can take more than 150Mb from what I've read.
I don't know what you have specs for, but I'd be willing to bet my firstborn that it's not what is in your device. You could open the tablet up to confirm it yourself, but if it was sold as 512 and reports 512, why do you think it would be otherwise?

See no mention of this.
Have they backpedaled on max RAM?

yes less than on the s20 ultra unfortunately 12gb only.
they say things have been so optimized on the note and faster internal storage 12 is enough.
the note is supposed to be THE sammy flagship yet its less so in the ram dept (and a few others) than the S20 ultra.
not good
UFS? Is 3.1 so they say 16GB is not needed
I've hit 12GB RAM on my S20 Ultra in use. It will use more ram if it has it just like a 128GB Windows 10 box will be using close to 10GB idle.
And the fact the screen is still 60Hz at QHD.
Doesn't seem to be much of an upgrade to me.
Perhaps if they were giving me $750 trade in, maybe, just maybe but I think this may be a pass which makes it the first time I didn't get a Note.
Waiting for S30 leaks now!
So I know with solid state drives, larger capacities in general are faster and longer lasting than lower capacities. Obviously, we can't test this yet on the Note 20 Ultra but would the 512 GB have any noticable benefit over the 128 GB?
16 GB RAM would have sweetened the deal but I guess we can't have it all.
Not sure, I only ordered 1 phone so I have no way to test it side by side. But I know a 1TB MicroSDXC card is going in it

I doubt there is going to be a performance difference considering they are the same UFS 3.1 tech just different capacity, however the OS is taking up the same space and running same speed.
As for 12gb of ram vs 16gb. I really doubt you could tell the difference

GSMarena has updated the storage specification from UFS 3.1 to UFS 3.0, does anyone have any benchmarks on the storage ?

Wow so basically it's an S20 ultra with a pen, overclocked 865 and 4GB less RAM.
512GB should "theoretically" be faster than 128GB version just based on how flash memory is arranged. But that is storage only and shouldn't really matter to everyday use I suppose. It's all speculative at this point until we have the devices in our hands though.
I remember how much better the S10 5G was than the S10+ just based on the bigger size. I hope the Note 20 Ultra is the same. I much prefer the squared off shape though.

Same SSD rules will apply here. 512GB will be faster (not noticeable in normal use tho) and will have longer endurance for write cycles. See this snapshot someone uploaded on reddit that clearly states the differences in speed
Not sure if this applies here but has anyone bought Samsung UFS card for external storage and or if it's compatible
not sure if this is the right forum.... i am considering the note 10+ 5g.... i am currently looking at the 976u and the 976b variants.....i understand the u variant is not rootable (locked bootloader) and the b version is rootable... also are the wireless channels the same, or would i lose something in using the european version in the US......any help or advice anyone can give would be appreciated....TIA
Hi! someone with that device might see this, but check that device's forum section here:

I'd get the 512 gb 12 gb of ram 4G Snapdragon variant if you don't want to root.
The 5G speed gains aren't that great and the battery life will take a hit. Average 20% speed increase is what I've seen reported.
I have the former and it's a great phone.
You can get a Lexar V30 512 gb SD card for about $75. Get the Buds+ or Buds Pro.
You now have a dual drive 1 tb handheld PC...

I've looked a long while and cannot find exactly that
Why the need for 32 GB RAM?
No Android device has 32GB RAM yet, period.
Current Android phones/tablets typically have 8GB or 12GB of RAM.
