My Screen Flickers by Magisk Manager - General Questions and Answers

I was installing magisk modules and install busybox from magisk after rebooting to apply the modules and busybox everything started fine there was no bootloop or anything but being already on the lock screen of the device the screen flickered and wouldn't let me do anything just turn off the screen to stop flashing but it let me enter the options by holding down the power button, I already removed the modules using Magisk Manager for Recovery Mode but it still doesn't work and keeps flashing and not letting me do anything.

just go to platform tools and open cmd as administrator or open minimal adb and fastboot and check adb devices if it shows devices just type the command
adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules
it'll remove all the magisk modules but hey! your phone is recovered
if you look up ig you'll find commands for specific modules too but go this and install modules again

CAUTION! DQF1 Update MAY Disable OEM Unlock = Custom Binary Blocked by FRP

After I got blocked by FRP twice in one day, I decided it was better to stay on DQE1. After doing all the intial setup (I do mods and if everything goes smoothly I do a factory reset to start fresh) I noticed that OEM Unlock (under Developer Options) was turned off. After enabling it and OK'ing a Message that said that device protection features wouldn't work the FRP never came back. I don't know, I don't mess with OEM Unlock because I was told not to. My phone was unlocked and I'm using it on a GSM Network. So my advise is this:
If you get the FRP block you will need to flash a complete firmware via Odin. Flashing the stock recovery and trying to do a reset may not be possible, only download mode was available for me, the phone won't even charge or pass the Note5 splash screen. Don't worry, you will not loose photos or call log but after that it may feel a little buggy.
I will try again later this week.
(If you haven't rooted or done any modifications you don't need to worry)
I only flash the firmware/modem from each latest security patch...............will remember that if I decide to flash the entire stock rom.

Recovery is installed, turn off the phone completely; restarting will not work. Then press at the same time POWER, VOLUME UP AND HOME and keep pressing until the red message about recovery and it will enter the TWRP recovery, then you install first the Magisk and then the anti root removal.

hi all
need help
i try to install via
Magisk couple of things
the phone only boot to emergency mode after restart
i have open boot-loader and twrp installed
what can i do to fix that ?
thanks ahay
Magisk uninstaller flash that and it should remove all mods.
yes but can i install it 'the computer dont recognize the phone ?
i try to do hard reset 'but only twrp is coming after i hold down Volume Down and Power buttons for a couple of seconds.
i hope my phone is not dead
If you can get into TWRP, you can reboot to bootloader and flash the fastboot Zip from the following thread. It will wipe the data. You can also delete the data from twrp and see if it boots to system. A clean install would be better IMO. Good luck!

In TWRP, use adb push "filename" to /sdcard/ to get the uninstaller on your device. If you can boot into is after that, remove the magisk modules you most recently flashed. What module did you use?

Need help for flashing TWRP onto a Magisk-enabled Samsung device

Hi. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G (d1x) device, rooted with magisk. The recovery key combo (Power+VolUp) is not working on the second reboot since flashing magisk (exiting download mode to be the first), pressing the key combo only gets me into a unrooted os. Issuing adb reboot recovery command from a pc will only get me into Magisk-enabled os, whether VolUp is long-pressed or not. After I tried to flash a TWRP image patched by the Magisk App using Odin, the situation remained same: key combo not working, adb command gets me into Magisk-enabled os. But if I use the Reboot to Recovery option inside the Magisk App, the phone blacks out for a few seconds after the Note 10 splash screen, and then reboots and gets into unrooted os.
So my question is: Is there something wrong with my method (patching the TWRP image from their official site with Magisk App, renaming it into recovery.img and flashing a tarball containing it with Odin), and how can I get both Magisk and TWRP working (and also how can I fix the recovery key combo).
REPLY:Both TWRP and Magisk work properly after the third reboot.
Hi, I have the same problem. Note 10+ and root from Magisk (Patching AP). Every time I normally reset the phone, I lose root. Then, to recover root, I have to combine on computer with the commands "adb reboot" plus a combination of PWR + Vol Up keys on the first inscription "Samsung" immediately after launching this restores root. It doesn't matter if the phone will reset 1 or 5 times. I will always lose root after a regular reset without a combination of PWR + Vol Up. I have enough of it. What am I doing wrong ?

General Get out of softbrick after installing a magisk module

If your devuce wont boot after installing a module dont panic safe mode can unbrick you without pc adb twrp or data loss
1 hold down power and volume down while connected to charger when the animation appears unplug charger and device will shut itself down
2.turn device on and hold down volume down button untill device boots with safe mode watermark then release
3.reboot device .you will boot with all module disabled
4.go to magisk app remove the offending module(s) enable magisk hide enable all other modules and reboot
And there you are unbricked without losing your userdata

Are you suggesting that ROM/magisk installation interferes with the bootloader? In my opinion, this is impossible. Just press Power for a long time to make sure you've turned off the power, and run the standard bootloader entry procedure.

Its not working .. When I flash this ROM first time everything was working fine I remember I can boot into recovery mode .. This ROM some times crashes and reboots .. It was automatically rebooted into recovery (I saw recovery is not seandroid enforcing in the left top corner of Samsung boot logo) then it reboot back into system without showing up twrp splash screen ..
Is there anything wrong with twrp bcz I flashed latest twrp before flashing the ROM..
I tried several times to boot into download /recovery mode using hardware button but it still reboot back into system

If you can boot the system, then try adb reboot bootloader, and if that doesn't work, then on the system uninstall magisk by restoring the original kernel and then try adb reboot bootloader.
