Hi, I just found a thread on MIUI forum which inspire me
http://en.miui.com/thread-3450268-1-1.html
Kudos to the OP in that thread
I tried the tutorial to one of my friend's Note 5, the tutorial works, so now we know that DOWNGRADING FROM 8.82 GLOBAL TO 8.7.26 GLOBAL IS POSSIBLE
Now I need someone with bricked devices because of downgrading to try it, you must download fastboot room first and sideload it to your redmi note 5
Here is the summary and the short version of the already short tutorial (lol), also some fixes needed, for those stuck in "MIUI CANT BE INSTALLED ON THIS DEVICE" error AND NEED AUTHORIZATION CODE TO FLASH
ALSO FOR THOSE IN ANTI 4 WITH FAKE UBL (MAINLY DEVICES SOLD IN INDONESIA), WHO WANT TO FLASH CHINA ROM AND BIND THE MI ACCOUNT TO THE DEVICE TO LATER REQUESTING UNLOCK TO XIAOMI
FOR THOSE WHOSE DEVICES ARE BRICKED BECAUSE OF DOWNGRADING, YOU CAN TRY TO DOWNLOAD THE FASTBOOT ROM AND FLASH IT WITH THE SAME STEP, NEVER TESTED IT WITH EDL MODE, SO ANYONE?
1. Xiaomi Tool
2. XiaomiTool ADB
3. MI FLASH PRO
4. ROM GLOBAL 9.5.19
5. ROM GLOBAL 8.7.26
6. ROM GLOBAL 8.8.2
7. ROM CHINA 8.7.26
8. DRIVER2 QUALCOM, ADB DLL YG BISA DICARI DI POST LAIN
THE STEPS :
1. FLASH YOUR NOTE 5 TO 8.8.2 GLOBAL ROM USING MI FLASH PRO
2. OPEN CMD AND SIDE LOAD USING XIAOMITOOL ADB, COMMAND IS xiaomiadb sideload_miui<spasi>namafile.zip. WHICH IS miui_HMNote5HMNote5ProGlobal_8.7.26_d7fb438aef_8.1.zip. YOUR DEVICE WILL BE DOWNGRADED TO 8.7.2.6 GLOBAL ROM
3. NOW FLASH YOUR PHONE USING ANY TOOL LIKE XIAOMITOOL TO 8.7.2.6 CHINA
4. VOILA, IT WORKS NOW
don't know when Xiaomi will close this bug hole, so try it while you can
Tried to downgrade from 8.82 Global Rom to 8.726 Rom Global, later flashed the China 8.726 rom and it worked
It means we still can downgrade, I think this is a bug in xiaomi server, can anyone use this bug for our advantage?
Thanks

1. if your device was on china rom from the very begining. you flashed global rom over china rom without unlocking BL, and phone got bricked (This MIUI version can not be installed on this device)

There should have been note posted about that guide: -
NOT FOR DEVICES HARD BRICKED BY DOWNGRADING ON ARP!
You still need access to recovery/fastboot for that tutorial to work.
Is it possible to downgrade coming from MIUI 11 down to MIUI 10?

Hi Bro, try, only android 9 to android 8 you need other procedure.
It works... If bootloader is unlocked.
I have done it countless times, to check what is causing the volte problem.
Yes you can do it with stock recovery, because it doesn't matter!
You have to download fastboot rom, (download 10.3.3.0 or 10.3.5.0 if you want dual 4g option) (do not download recovery rom)
Extract the .tgz fastboot rom file and place it in your desktop folder (if you place it in any other folder, it may cause location not found error.)
enable usb debugging in settings and enter fastboot mode in redmi y2/s2 and connect to pc.
Launch mi flash in your PC, click select and select extracted rom folder, then click refresh.
@THE bottom right corner, Change option to "clean all"
Then click on flash, reboot when complete.
If volte doesn't work, flash baseband firmware via fastboot!
Gud luck
i was on miui 11 then i installed twrp correctly and even used custom roms then i got bored of them and then installed eu miui 12 for redmi k30 which has some bugs and now i want to go back to official miui as it has lauched , so i downloaded miui 12 from xda the fastboot rom then tried flashing it with miflash but it shows crclist error i have adb and fastboot installed on my comp please help me go back to miui :crying:

I was first doing it from desktop only it wasn't working so I put both mi flash and the fastboot ROM in the c drive .
It did not work
On Xiaomi.eu there's a table that show K30 does not have anti-rollback, so I don't think your problem is related to anti-rollback.

Indian variant of K30? Isn't that just Poco X2? Otherwise K30 is a Chinese-only phone, no other variant.

Can't say for sure but I think if K30 doesn't have anti-rollback then Poco X2 wouldn't too. Also have you install Qualcomm USB driver? This show up after I google "flash crclist error". Other solution is create a folder named "log" in MiFlash folder. Try these.

I have installed all the drivers via miflash 5 times but I have not tried the log one . I will try this method on this coming Saturday and then update ( it would be very helpful if you shared the link as I have practically gone through every result and still couldn't find the 'log' folder one )

That solution is shared by the Mi Vietnam community. I haven't encounter problems like yours so I don't know if it's work or not.
This is what I usually do: Install MiFlashPro on the E drive, extract the fastboot rom on the root of the drive (E:/ rom folder) then install. The install went smoothly.

Crclist error is shown when the path of the rom is too long/complicated, move the rom to desktop then try.

Hey download fastboot rom for your respective device then extract the zip folder then open flash_all.sh and the script gets executed.
I am having a big issue. I have a Poco F2 Pro, and I'm changing the firmware to the euro version. For some odd reason I'm on V12.1.3.0.RJKCNXM, Android version of 11. That's the Chinese official firmware I believe.
Don't ask me why. I must have botched the intial set up. Anyway, want to upgrade the to the latest euro firmware/android version and upgrade to a better rom and finally get rid of this mi-bloat. Sadly, it says I need the flash tool and I do have access to it, but it's on a roommates computer and I don't like depending on other people. Is it possible that I can somehow use the TWRP I have to upload the firmware vs using the flash tool? Please let me know thank you!!!

You will need a pc to flash the TWRP.
Flashing a TWRP takes 10 seconds.
With Miflash 10 minutes.
But with the twrp you have to format the data and then put the pc rom on the phone (usb OTG solution).

Thank you. I actually have a TWRP installed called "LR. TEAM" I think it's a Chinese port of TWRP translated back to English. It's called TWRP 3.4.1b-0328.
I can't flash anything from there though, as I can't decrypt the storage and I don't know how to remove encryption.
With that TWRP do you think I might be able to flash the Euro Firmware without Miflash? I have ADB and fastboot via my chromebook. Thanks for all your help.

EEA was specifically designed for EU countries .(RGPD,GDPR).
The EEA ROM doesn't have a Beta program.
Global updates arrive before.
AOSP roms are based on global version.

Doesn't matter, unlock the bootloader and use this tool:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
If there is an anti rollback problem, flash the rom without Miflash using the "flash_all.bat" command included in the fastboot tgz file.

Check:
That the rom is at the root(rename it (no long name ex:13214)
That you run it in administrator mode
Drivers
try another usb port 2 or cable(original)
Try with Miflash you will get the log(installed the drivers with).

Thank you for your response, I already figured out the problem, I extracted rom on desktop somehow that was giving me errors I placed the firmware on C:\folder it fixed the issues with the mi flash tool and fastboot as well.
