Question Specific game doesn't work on POCO X3 Pro / Mirage Memorial - Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro

As the title says, this very specific game doesn't work on my poco x3 pro. At first, I thought the game had shutdown its servers, but I tried to download it on my friend's phone (a Motorola) and turns out, the game is still running like a charm. So just out of curiosity I also downloaded the game on my cousin's phone (which is also a Poco X3 pro, same ver. and whatnot) and guess what? App opens, screen goes black and game closes.
Under the game comment section there are plenty of ppl claiming the game doesn't work on their POCO, so I wanted to know if there is a way I can bypass this or if its something related to the game code/stuff.

Game last update: 2019
Can try different custom ROMs like ArrowOS or Pixel.
If it can be launched in custom ROMs, then it's like MIUI's issue.
If it cannot be launched in custom ROMs, it's likely Game's incompatibility issue.

Yea, the devs haven't touched the game in a while, therefore it doesn't receive updates anymore, still a good game to kill the time. Seems like the solution is really installing a custom ROM then

Addware /bloatware or virus in a UMI diamond X stock ?

Hi
A friend bought a UMI diamond X a month ago.
From yesterday he stars to have some commercials each time that he takes his phone.
Did the put something in the stock rom that activate after a little time of use ?
Someone knows something?
thanks
I don't know if there is a delay or not before adds start but Chinese phones are known to have quite aggressive ad network even with stock apps & they have weak privacy often, so it could be a stock app. Some Chinese phones have also been shown to do silent upgrades, so you don't know when they update something (can't recall if Umi is one) which is why is may only start a month later.
However it could be due to malware/adware downloaded from a website or if he has used one of the Chinese app stores to get an app or any store that is not Google you are increasing your risks, those stores are not well regulated and many apps have had adware/malware inserted into legitimate looking apps like youtube etc. Did he recently download some apps from an app store that was NOT Google?
see eg

or

(also lookout for Chinese apps (or any other unusual apps) with western alphabet like Baidu, which this guy seems to ignore)

Thanks.
As far as I know he didn't install something for a while and on the umi diamond X there is no parallel app store.
He did a factory reset but if there are new commercial pop up i'll try your links , thank you again
Android 5.0 and above, just download, install DNS66 from Fdroid. Update all hosts file.

I have the same problem, couple days ago commercials started shows all time, i tried use DNS66 and it doesn't help.
Do anybody know how to root this phone?
I can tell that on UMI Super apart from the battery additions and MediaTek apps there is no of that, very little bloat.. alost AOSP.
This also should help you identify some MTK apps http://bitlog.it/re/dissecting-an-android-chinaphone/
Bringing this up .
I have exactly the same problem. Ad starts showing up on lock screen and every few day some fake app installs out of nowhere. What can I do?
Wrote about it here on xda
The only thing I haven't tried yet is going to stock but now I found this topic and not sure if even that would help. Did OP had any luck with this?

I saw another forum where someone says you need to freeze the "super cleaner" app (can't be uninstalled) that comes with the phone to stop this & maybe any of the DU branded apps also if they
(edit: on other phone eg Zuji they have another app "battery saver " that seems to work similarly and serve ads or/or push apps to your phone in the same way that needed to be frozen)
I am having lots of problems with my umi diamond x screen keeps jumping and goes into the black screen with all your settings on like wifi aeroplane mode screen brightness etc it locks up the phone, I am also getting lots of adds and the phone is getting hot and using up the battery too, I have taken the sim out and sd card and it still does this so the issues are not sd or sim so it must be the operating system on the phone or something, I have tried everything but cant fix can anyone help or should I just buy a new phone
you can try a factory reset or you can flash the phone with an original room or a custom room but as far as I remember there are very few custom ROMs for this phone

Game Turbo games force closing on xiaomi.eu rom

Hi, I have started to experience force closes and restarts of the app, when I am using Game Turbo with resource heavy games, like Call Of Duty Mobile. The game just randomly closing and drops me back to the Game Turbo game selection list, where I can re-launch the game and loosing all my previous point while I was in a match, and getting penalty, because I left the game! I closed all the apps in the background, still at least 3GB free RAM left and plenty of storage place. The phone is a rooted Poco F2 Pro International version with xiaomi.eu Android 11 ROM: 20.12.10. Weekly Build. The same game on the official EU ROM (Android 10) works flawlessly and no force closes of the app. I tried formatting, resetting and even reflashing the device, but same issue occurs.

Question Xiaomi POCO X3 issues with AOSP

Hi,
i found the Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro very appealing, but now i am not so sure anymore. Technically it seems to have very nice features, but the MIUI Software is full of crap i don't need. I found the slogan "Everything you need, nothing you don't" completely inappropriate and I decided to install a Generic Systems Image (GSI) by the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with Google Mobile Services (GMS). It is enough, when Google get's my data, I don't want Xiaomi to have it as well. OK, so I had to wait one whole week to unlock my bootloader with the Mi BatchUnlock tool and finally I have made it and installed a clean GSI.
Seemed to be working pretty well. I have set up my Google account and wanted to test some Videos on YouTube. But i had to realize, that the sound is completely lagging with the YouTube App as well as within Chrome Browser. Furthermore, the refreshrate of the Screen seems to be 60 instead of the praised 120Hz and it sometimes flickers before turning off.
I am not sure, if I chose a wrong developer option that made this phone so slow. Does anyone have similar issues or even a solution?
Please answer, the smartphone isn't usable in this state.
Best regards,
Jahro_me

Does the X3 Pro support project treble?
I'm looking into buying a Poco X3 Pro in the next few days and I'm wondering if I could try loading a Havoc OS GSI onto it once there's a twrp for it. I really don't like mi ui lol.

[SUPPORT] SElinux blocks Asphalt 8 from making an internet connection

Hi everyone!
I've been playing this game called Asphalt 8 for a few years, it's developed by gameloft (in case you didn't know)
However, since i got myself a new phone, an Asus Zenfone 6 (ZS630KL) I cant play the game anymore. Since Gameloft is gameloft and doesn't even try to fix more complicated problems then "idk how to open the game"
(literally it's been a year, and IF they reply, its to ask if my issue is still relevant, i reply that it is and i dont hear back after that)
So, i went ahead and used ADB to grant Logcat extreme the permission to read logs to see what errors and warnings occur.
This is what i saw (pics in the attachment).
It seems as if SElinux is denying permissions related to ads the game uses as well as calling it an untrusted app and therefore holding the game from using internet.
Im running Android 11, and the game gets updated frequently, last update was in September 2021.
Since Gameloft isnt cooperting, i wanted to ask you guys here if there could be reasons that SElinux does this, if not because of the app, then maybe a conflicting system app, but which? perhaps it cant be disabled if i only knew which app.
Thanks a lot in advance for everyone helping me out here if only a little!
Possibly the game confuses my zenfone 6 (ZS630KL) from 2019 with a zenfone 6 (A600CG)? As that old phone from 2014 probably uses a different way to request a udp connection from SElinux?
Something i bumped upon here:
udp socket setting up does not work anymore android marshmallow

Question MIUI keeps killing apps

Hello,
Not sure if it's the right place, but I'm getting depressed with my Xiaomi 12 behaviour. Since last update, MIUI global 13.2.4, the phone keeps killing apps, even if I set those with :
- not battery restriction
- auto startup
I tried a factory reset, I unlocked it, rooted it. It keeps killing apps. It's annoying, because I use Vivid and removed the navigation buttons. I let you imagine how I can be stuck sometimes when Vivid is killed. Yet, Vivid is locked... So MIUI regurlaty kills it, and sometimes, it even loses the accessibility autorisation.
How can I know what's killing it ? Obviousily, I'm not in Eco mode, and this behaviour also occurs in performance mode. Everything worked very fine until last update.

Maybe a bug in the rom which is a stable beta.
The ROM is official, it's been deployed in France last week.

You are not the only one to have had problems following updates, the solution if it worked before, is to flash the previous rom or to use a Xiaomi EU rom.
Sometimes Xiaomi renames a Stable Beta to stable without fixing anything.

Previous ROM is in Android 12. Downgrading won't be a problem ? Keeps root ? EU Roms seem far behind.

Downgrading requires a clean flash and the root is lost along with your data.
Use this tool:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flash-tool-guide-use-xiaomi-flash-tool.4262425/
And disable the update.
EDIT:
I use a Xiaomi EU rom on my 12 pro and I have several apps that must remain in the background, works very well.
With a Xiaomi EU rom you will have the certified play store without root and lots of extra options.
This is happening to me also and many other people. Fun times waking up to find that your alarm clock hasn't gone off because it was killed in the background.
There doesn't seem to be a workaround yet. There's several posts on the mi.com forums regarding it:
Xiaomi Community
new.c.mi.com
People there have discussed making a bug report via the feedback app (Settings->"Services & Feedback") might garner some support for Xiaomi to fix the issue... one can only hope.
All I can say is if you're thing of updating to V13.2.4.0.TLCEUXM OTA then DONT! Teach me to apply an update without checking on it first.

Go to this site if you need anything, the updates with beta roms on the stable channel do not date from today, many threads on this subject have been created without change since today the problem persists.
Reporting bugs via Services & Feedback hasn't changed anything either.
Note that since the redesign of their site, important threads have disappeared and even some devices.
As a reminder, it is the moderators of this site who report information, well that's just theory because in practice, nothing happens.
If you want answers from Xiaomi, tell them you want to buy a new phone because that's what they're interested in, selling.
I tell you this because at a certain time, I was active on this site, but some of my posts were deleted because I explained how to solve or work around the problem.
Sometimes by checking the hash of a beta rom and the following stable, it was the same.
The solution is to unlock the bootloader and downgrade or install a Xiaomi EU rom.

I'm kind of relieved that's I'm not the only one with this issue. For sure I dont take a xiaomi anymore. I had doubt about MIUI, and gesture unavailable with 3rd party launcher + this killing app bug, makes me regret not have taken a Samsung S22.
" I had doubt about MIUI, and gesture una aimable with 3rd party launcher"

Not new, but it's a detail you have trouble knowing before buying. With Vivid Gesture, I was plainly satisfied, but this new bug is really frustrating.
Regarding "Xiaomi EU rom", how well tested is it? Do they have an issue tracker and a list of known bugs?
I've rooted and flashed community ROMs in the past only to find out they are poorly tested / have horrible QA and although superficially they work fine other aspects didn't like Bluetooth, Android Auto or certain camera modes etc.
It has been a while though since I last attempted one, maybe things have moved on since then?
Xiaomi has removed so much of the Google framework that even push notifications isn't working. Take note that the Global ROM is based on the CN variant which is known for aggressive background killing of apps.
In Xiaomi's defense, they are "freeing up" up to 800mb of your internal storage by removing most of Google's API but in the expense of all the issues encountered by Global ROM users.
So if anyone is interested, I'm trying to see if disabling com.miui.powerkeeper works round this issue of background apps being killed in V13.2.4.0.TLCEUXM .
I followed this tutorial:
How to disable any pre-installed system app bloatware on Android without root
If you hate the bloatware or pre-installed apps on your Android smartphone, here's how to disable them even if Android doesn't normally let you.
www.xda-developers.com
Will report back if I notice any improvement.
Maybe someone more knowledgable might be able to tell me if there are any downside to disabling this package?
I am suffering the exact same problem with my device since the 13.2.4 update, what i nightmare to use the device since then ! As the other users already reported, it s even killing the alarm app which prevents it to ring ! But it also impacts all app notifications, like whatsapp, outlook, etc. After being killed I don't get the new notifications for those.
I can't believe that they are pushing such an update globally, they are gonna lose a lot of customers which such a poor strategy, as this is not just a "little" bug.
I am interested in the Xiaomi.EU rom, looks like they released one 2 days ago with version number 13.2.6, but I have to investigate if we can install that over our official version on an original EU device, and if it requires a full data wipe or not.

Welcome to XIAOMI.
You can check below the version of the rom proposed for the update, before performing it.
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/cupid/
EDIT:
You can either update the rom with the update.bat file included in the Fastboot.zip folder but since it is an A13 version, it is preferable to format the data with the first install.bat file .
Obviously the bootloader must be unlocked.
Also remove the security from the lock screen and restart the system.
Hello. I have exactly the same problem. I just bought the phone, after a week I got that update and it made me completely regret that I bought it. Is there any "clean" way to return to the version of MIUI I bought the phone with?
Would a reset return me to the old version? Since i got almost nothing important in the phone, it wouldnt be a big deal.
