No.
They may have leaked the phone SEVERAL times quite early.... but updates seem to be something they tend to be quite tight-lipped about. Won't know until it's available, if not shortly before.
Edit: After a little bit of Google usage, apparently there is supposedly going to be a new update released on the 13th. All that's being said so far is that there are expected to be improvements to Google Now, including new cards as well as a somewhat Siri-esque response system (offering you options on who you wish to call/text if you have more than one contact with the same name), and potentially some fixes for the camera. While the date might be accurate, the details of the update are probably more speculation and rumor than anything.
I assume they are not going to add the option to use "ok google" while the phone is locked/ screen is off, right?
What about the speaker? I know I read they are going to fix this at some point
There's an update coming on Nov 13 that adds a lot of new things to Google Now. Not sure if they add some Nexus 5 patches and other things as well.

Yeah. Let's hope it fixes a bunch of things....I mean they're gonna have like a month to do it. Also I'm thinking this might go along with the October security update or maybe even Oreo but I'm not gonna get my hopes up for the latter lol

Yeah... few weeks sounds like Oct. security patch, possibly bug fixes too from Essential. Oct. is just a few days away, Google pushes security updates at the beginning of the month, Essential is aiming for updates 2 weeks after Google. So, couple of weeks looks like Security Update at the very least.
New to OnePlus. Bought the OnePlus 8T when it came out. And I've received a couple of system updates. But, I'm still on the October security patch. How often do they release security updates? Or how far behind do they tend to stay on security updates?
USUALLY....they roll out security updates bi-monthly. Sometimes it will come a little later.
To get the fastest updates after release then use Oxygen Updater from the Play Store.
I have had three OnePlus phones and continue to use OnePlus. I have also used Oxygen Updater on all three without any issues at all.
Now the rub here is that when you do finally get the latest security update...it will probably still be a month behind.
So, hopefully we will get the update in early January, 2021...but it will most likely be the December, 2020 security patch. So while OnePlus is pretty good at fulfilling their bi-monthly policy of security updates, they are almost always (always) a month behind.
Yeah, I'm absolutely loving the OnePlus phone. I've been a Google phone user for years. It looks like I'll be sticking with OnePlus... At least for the foreseeable future. Waiting to see what the 9 Pro is going to be like and may move to that. Just wasn't sure how the security patches worked. Thank you!
First time that a Pixel device (as far as I remember) ended monthly updates on exactly the expiration date. I totally forgot that October 31 was the last day until I saw that newer devices received updates today while the 3 and 3xl had not.
Yep. We should get one massive "quality" update next month, and then that's it. Since we now have 12 I'll probably keep the 3XL until the 7 comes out to keep the OS updates going since my phone is pretty much flawless, and I just got a new battery for it about 4 months ago.
The Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL will get one final software update next year
The final Google Pixel 3 update will likely only bring some minor bug fixes for the three-year-old smartphone when it finally drops.

Update released today. https://www.droid-life.com/2022/02/07/pixel-3-gets-what-should-be-its-final-update/
Updated my 3XL this morning via OTA sideload. No issues with the update or functionally after update. One issue that is mentioned in this article https://www.androidpolice.com/googl...Taro on,still displays October after updating is occurring on mine (probably everyone) where it still shows the October security update.

Same for me showing Oct security update
Same here.
The two things that we can praise its the improvements in smoothness and it feels mutch faster than before.
With only 12Mb, I have no idea what they fixed beside that.
Surprise update for the 3/3XL: https://www.androidpolice.com/the-pixel-3-and-3-xl-last-update/
I have a Pixel 7 Pro purchased through T-Mobile. 100% stock, no modifications. Google Play System update is Nov. 1. I am still on the November security patch. Attempting the system update results in ""Your system is up to date" Is this a google problem, TMobile slow update or a phone problem?
T-Mobile I'd imagine. Just use Pixel Flasher or https://flash.android.com
I joined the beta program

How is it? Stable enough to daily drive? I was stuck on the Nov. 22 patch as well until I sideloaded via ADB last night.
Nov 1 is the latest Play System Update afaik, at least thats what the QPR shows....
Google is having problems
This is one of those moments where it's not you it's them is actually true and not gaslighting . Play Updates are not rolling out properly

Seems you are not alone.
T-Mobile is running way behind on Google Pixel security updates
Timely updates are supposed to be a prime Pixel perk

Yeah I am on December update very annoyed with Google nothing has changed
Deleted
That sucks and should not be the Pixel experience. I would call T-Mobile and ask them why you are on an old update?
I have had decent updates so far but would be rather upset if I had a security update that was older than other OEM as that is part of the reason for getting a Pixel.
Sign up for Beta and you'll get QPR2 Beta 2. In my experience, it is much more fluid and responsive than previous builds. It fixes the scrolling issues and seems to have improved battery compared to the December update.
My wife's P7 still is on Dec update and says it's up to date. I manually flash and root mine, but not about to go to that work for her phone.

Can't you just adb sideload update.zip without having to even unlock the bootloader?

Google provides the means to update it yourself manually easily if you're not willing to wait for your turn. Their tools aren't even that complicated to use. I don't understand the big deal when you have manufacturers like Samsung that can take 3-6 months or longer to update between major version releases, Motorola that updates whenever they feel like it and only gives 2 years of major version updates, and OnePlus that's always behind like 2 months in security updates.

I could, but it's my wife's phone so I don't want to mess with it. I'd have to pry it out of her hands first.

If she's complaining about it, 10 minutes in your hands beats you hearing about it for however long it takes for the update server to decide it's her turn.
Also mine show November as last play service update (I'm on the beta). Italian unlocked phone
Nov is the latest still for play system. There wasn't a Dec and Jan hasn't rolled out yet

There's also the indeterminate minutes, if/when something goes sideways...
This is being delayed for un-branded devices as well, such as mine purchased G-Store direct, based on some sort of carrier-block. I'm tempted to go dig through some dev-docs, to see if I can find this (could be an section not published for most, I suppose), but I figure to what end, mostly.
As you mention, easy side-load, but without knowing why this is being blocked for non-TMo (branded, so not gated by their release of their OTA) devices, it's a gamble of sorts...
I just posted in another thread that I think this is an odd situation. I use an MVNO Boost Mobile that uses T-Mobile and I got the update on the 5th. Maybe I got it before they pulled it? Why would they hold the update back to T-Mobile customers but not the MVNO?
