Greetings everyone, i just recently debloated my POCO X3 PRO (12.0.4.0 EU) with local Ladb command "pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.miui.security2" and currently stuck in a bootloop. Any ideas on how this can be fixed somehow?
I want to get a definitive solution before doing anything irreversible that might lead to a hard brick/dead device any input is greatly appreciated
Wild Guess, but I think you shouldn't uninstall the Security App

Reflash the rom.
The fastboot update will come with a bash/shell script called something like flash_all_except_data.sh which will fix it.
I'm not sure because I haven't tried it myself, but normally a factory reset from the recovery should also work. The debloated stuff isn't really deleted via ADB, it's only removed from the user profile.

Never ever uninstall the security or find my device app, unless you want a bootloop.
Solution - Factory reset in recovery ( power+ volume up)

You can uninstall finddevice if you're not using the mi account (not logged in), which I've uninstalled as well.
The only downside to this is that the "Security status" Settings submenu doesn't work anymore, but that's not a big deal because there's another way to check for Google Play System updates.

At least that wasn't the case for me with 13.0.2 EEA, or I simply overlooked it. Before the update to 13.0.3 I temporarily reinstalled it and forgot to uninstall it again. So if the toast message is version related, I haven't been able to see it yet.

Depends on the carrier but you generally have to wait for a while for the unlock period to be granted.

Is it even possible to remove system apps without root (and therefore without unlocking your bootloader)?
If it is a pre-installed user app you are considering removing, I don't think there is any risk in uninstalling any of them. If you find that uninstalling an app removes some feature that you want, simply reinstall it.

Pretty sure the answer is NO! And even if you could, any change to the system partition is going to cause the boot checks to fail, and if the bootloader isn't unlocked, you're dead.
You want to disable, not remove, them.

Of course it is possible. The command is pm uninstall -k --user 0 <package name> and it uninstalls system apps on a per-user-basis, which means the /system/ partition is unaltered, but the app appears as uninstalled (not to be confused with frozen) for the current user. This stays in effect until you wipe the phone or decide to reinstall via pm install-existing <package name>

To answer OP's question: I have no such list, nor have I found any so far. But I would be interested in it as well if anybody knows more.
First, making an app unavailable to a user isn't in anyway uninstalling it - it's still sitting there taking up space, from which the term bloatware came.
Second, that article is from 2017, and things have changed. A lot.

Yeah, it's taking up space in /system, a partition whose size you can't change anyways. It won't receive updates any longer though, which would take up space in /data, so in total you will save space in the long term.
Also the term bloatware is a lot more than just taking up storage space. It's about performance issues due to lots of apps running in the background.

It hasn't though. The command still works AFAIK. If you have any valid sources which say that it doesn't, please enlighten me. Just pointing out that the article is from 2017 is hardly enough.
It's causing battery drain issues and I'm unable to uninstall it like the rest of the Xiaomi bloatware.

I'm not sure you can. I've used the Xiaomi Fastboot tool to disable all the other apps, but this wasn't in there.

I thought it might be something like that. I will flash the EU ROM once my bootloader has been unlocked which should solve the problem.
I've been searching everywhere to find an answer to this, haven't found anything yet.
So I've got a stock G7 power on android 9, an unlocked version from Amazon, and recently I've been getting the notifications for the Android 10 update. I have absolutely no desire to update to 10, for a number of reasons, but mainly because I've been following discussions from other people that have updated and there's a lot of issues with this update, up to and including breaking 4g all together or straight up locking it in a bootloop that requires a full wipe. Evidently Motorola is aware of these issues and is working on an update to fix them, yet they are still pushing the update to phones on 9 knowing full well they can't roll those phones back to 9 if they break. I'm hearing a lot from people that say they blocked updates in Dev options, disabled the Moto update manager, and blocked the notifications, yet one day all the sudden the phone just updates anyway without your consent. I'm trying to find a way to block this from happening, or at the very least, set up some kind of flushable image or something that will let me recover back to 9 if Motorola decides to ignore the explicit "NO" I keep giving them.
Does anyone know of anyway to do that? I'd prefer not to root if possible, I don't care to mess with my main phone too much until it gets replaced, but I'm not fully against it either. It works perfectly for my needs as is, but if I have to root to prevent an update from breaking it, I guess I'll have to. Any advice would be great.

The way you usually do this is by disabling the updater apk. You might try these non-root commands through adb:
pm disable-user --user 0 com.motorola.ccc.ota
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.motorola.ccc.ota
If you have root you might try:
pm disable com.motorola.ccc.ota
They mitigate all this on Android 10 at least(not sure how yet), I ultimately had to replace the app using Magisk.
/system/product/priv-app/3c_ota/3c_ota.apk
ota disable

Still the theming and turn on miui optimization gone.
@cwapasion Are you using Xiaomi.EU ROM? If so, they completely disabled option for turning ON/OFF MIUI optimization for end-user. You can enable it by using any Android terminal, Termux for example, as superuser, but you need to be rooted.
If you're rooted, paste these commands into terminal:
su
setprop persist.sys.miui_optimization false
Then Optimization settings is back in the menu. By the way, Youtube Vanced doesn't require you to turn off MIUI optimization for a long time now. Are you using Vanced Manager from their official site vancedapp.com?

Is there even a way to install a Xiaomi.EU ROM yet, without TWRP?
Anyway, I tried using Vanced Manager on MIUI 12.0.4 and I was getting a "permission denied" error when installing anything from the Vanced Manager, I could install microG manually but installing Vanced itself was a no-go, until I disabled MIUI optimisations. Only then it went through. It's the recommendation I got on their Discord server as well.
What's interesting is, why the option to toggle these optimisations has disappeared for OP, but I still have that option on the same MIUI version... Region related??
POCO X3 Pro Global V12.0.4.0.RJUMIXM
POCO X3 Pro EEA V12.0.4.0.RJUEUXM
OP has Global version, in Europe there is EEA rom.
I am curious what other changes have been made in software by Xiaomi?
@TheReduxPL Well crap, I've mistaken OP's phone with regular Poco X3 NFC model. It complicates things, then. But, there's ADB workaround for this, which should work.

Sorry to hear that, I didn't realize it won't work without root access. I just did the quick search ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It seems like you would need to "su" first (I'm not 100% sure if that's the case though, maybe something else is to blame) which means your device needs to be rooted. But, since there are no custom Recovery for this phone yet, we all have to wait.
@urbanman2004
The best idea is to wait for any official/unofficial releases of TWRP or other recovery projects for this model on XDA thread/s or other forums.
Also, don't forget to start unlocking your bootloader. With Xiaomi timers, you can wait some time ツ

Greetings everyone! I am having an issue with my phone after installing a Magisk module to hide root access. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop and I can't access it.
I have considered flashing the original "init_boot.img" file via Fastboot to remove the root access and its modules, but I am afraid of causing bigger problems. Does anyone have any recommendations or experience with this issue before?
I also wonder if there is any way to remove all modules at once so that my phone can boot up without any issues.
I appreciate any help or suggestions you can provide. Thank you!
Does
adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules
still work? This, iirc, waits till the device can communicate and then executes the command. Haven't used it in ages though...

Two options you can try:
1. Boot into safe mode and then reboot. This will disable your modules.
2. Using this command will remove all modules:
adb wait-for-device shell magisk --remove-modules

I could never get a straight answer -- as I've heard both and/or I'm not willing to risk doing it unless I have to -- but is there any loss of settings that one must set back up if after entering (and being done with) safe-mode?
In roirraW "edor" ehT guide thread, his thread talks about how doing the adb command might be better because many/most of the set up in the system settings gets reverted back to default (even after exiting safe mode), while I've been told elsewhere that it actually doesn't and after exiting safe mode, outside of whatever modules is disabled, everything is back to normal the way one has set it up...

So, I always went about suggesting the adb command vs. going into safe mode; then was told that safe mode doesn't do this...?!
So that's why I'm finally inquiring on what it actually ends up being; I'm not willing to try things myself unnecessarily if I'm not forced to, just to see what's what.
But I don't mean to hijack this thread or anything but i also mean to bring it up here because to let OP know, if by doing safe mode, OP might run into reset settings or something...
