CPU-Z shows wrong model - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have two Samsung Galaxy S6 phones. One is with its original hardware. The 2nd one has a replacement motherboard bought from a vendor on Aliexpress. It mostly works except the Samsung Galaxy Store refuses to run. In CPU-Z, the 1st phone's model is reported as being a Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920T). The 2nd phone is reported as "BASIC (zerofltetmo)". I believe this may be related to being unable to use the Samsung Galaxy Store. Any idea on how to fix the model or my problem running the Samsung Galaxy Store?

very strange
please post :

forum.xda-developers.com
or maybe with :
- device version:
on dialer : *#1234# or *#12580*369#
it's difficult to ansewer

I went to:
setting/about phone/software information/Service provider SW ver
and got the attached screenshots.
I don't see a Service provider SW ver.

I dialed both strings
*#1234# or *#12580*369#
And get "Not registered on network"
Let me try putting a valid SIM in the phone.

I put a valid SIM in the phone and was able to make phone calls. But nothing else changed. In particular, setting/about phone/software information/Service provider SW ver gives the same result.

sorry but very hard to help you more and why the second device have not acces to the galaxy store

Thanks for trying.

As a followup, I decided to start from scratch and reinstall the entire ROM using an image downloaded from samfw. It worked! Everything looks normal now and the phone is much more reliable.

Urgent - Firmware & modem from other countries?

I've soft bricked my g930f but managed to get it going again and it's rooted. However, along the way I have managed to lose my IMEI and some other info. I am currently downloading what I believe to be the original country firmware (trinidad / tobago) and will try flashing that when I have it. I don't know if this will restore the following information that is missing, as well as (I hope) enable me to once more connect with my GSM provider. If anyone knows whether this will work I would value the advice.
Using PhoneInfo, here is a list of the missing information on my g930f:
Country of Origin (this used to be Vietnam but is now blank)
Manufacturing Date
Product Code
Available CSC codes
Mobile Operator (there is actually a single comma in this line)
Baseband version
Modem Board
Hardware Revision
IMEI
Samsung serial number (a bunch of zeroes here)
Does it seem likely that the lack of a correct modem file is the culprit for these missing items? I do have the original IMEI number written down (it's also on the back of the phone.)
UPDATE: I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/guide-recover-imei-9-steps-t1264021 but it did not fix my problem with the IMEI. I did have a backup of the EFS folder but it may have been taken after the damage had been done.
I am currently still downloading the Trinidad/Tobago firmware from Sammobile and will post what happens when I attempt to flash that.
How did you soft brick your phone? You flashed a firmware for other countries? I'm planning of flashing the unknown firmware from Sammobile too, please keep up updated. Thank you.
I once had a problem with the IMEI, but it was because the phone was blocked by the Mobile Company.

Galaxy S6 SM-G920F or SM-G920P? Not sure which, can't look for software update either

I recently got a Galaxy S6 for free as a replacement after my LG G4 bootlooped, and I'm having trouble figuring out the actual model so I can update it to a later firmware (currently 5.1.1) and change regions if possible. Since it's a grey import it says it's a SM-G920F on the back of the phone. It also says this in settings/about phone. But when I downloaded the Sammobile app it says the model number is SM-G920P. Surely that's incorrect?
Also, I can't seem to search for updates like on my other (locally bought in Australia) Galaxy S6 edge+. There's no option in settings to look for an update. How is that possible?
All I want to do is change the firmware to my local region (Australia) or something similar, but I have no idea what firmware to download. Can someone please help me? I'm so confused.
download, install and run Smart Switch, go to emergency initialization (you have tutorial I created, so you can chek posts created by me and find it there) with your sn, it will tell you what model it is and which is latest fw for that model.
It can also dowload and install it on your phone if you complete the process.

No network SM-G920F 350000000000006

I have a SM-G920F and one day the imei went 3500000000006. This made the phone go "No Network" and no sim would work in it. I then proceeded to repair (not change) the imei to its original imei as stamped on the back with numerous files and fixes to the point I am now abit lost.
The phone is now on Factory Binary bband vers G920FXXU6ERC1 BUILD NUMBER LRX22.FA50_G920FXXU6ARC1 and after reseting the EFS the imei is back to 350000000000006 / 02.
I have tried to "repair" the imei to back to its original imei but which I could do before but now I just get:-
Waiting ADB device... OK
Reading phone info...
Model: SM-G920F
Android version: 5.0.2
Product code:
Phone version: G920FXXU6ERC1
PDA version: FA50_G920FXXU6ARC1

CSC country code:
CSC sales code:
HW version:
Phone SN: 00000000000
Chip name: EXYNOS7420
Modem board: SHANNON333
RF cal date:
IMEI: 2515925302514f0
Checking Super user right... true
Reading NV data... OK
Checking NV data... error
Security damaged (1)
The imei above is not mine that just appears when I try to repair the phone but *#06# says 350000000000005 / 02 and no S/N. The only FW the phone will flash with is
G920FXXU6ERF5_G920FDBT6ERF1_G920FXXU6ERF6_HOME.tar (BTU) using samfirm and the factory binary thats on it at the mo , all the rest fail in Odin.
Is the phone bricked or is it sw repairable ?. If it is repairable could someone please point me to the correct files that I would need and which program/s do I use and the order I flash the phone with the files ?. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. I have spent the best part of a week reading up and flashing the phone but I'm now at the point were I honestly don't know which files , programs to use and in which order. Any help files or links, guides would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. just to make it clear the phone is not blocked it seems it just got corrupted somewere along the line and I am trying to restore the imei back to it's original imei not change it in any way shape or form and hopefully fix the "No Network" which is stopping any sim from been used.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/flash-rom-wiped-data-twrp-help-asap-t3747981
This is what helped me. I couldnt even turn my phone on and computer didnt recognize it.
Thanks for that , I did try it but still the same. I think mines a deeper problem , something to do with a corrupt EFS or NV_DATA.bin. which files and how you repair it I think is my problem

Firmware Update/Change Help

I bought a phone second hand from an online seller. The phone works perfectly. I just need some guidance to change the phone software to a newer one. Also I noticed I have a "display" device because it says not for sale behind my phone.
After typing *#1234# I got
AP: G970FXXU4BTB1
CP: G970FXXU4BTAA
CSC: G970FOXM4BTA8
Model : SM-G970F/DSM
is it possible to update this to a newer version? If so can someone link me to a newer version preferably in my own country which is malaysia I guess.
