Firmware Update/Change Help - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

I bought a phone second hand from an online seller. The phone works perfectly. I just need some guidance to change the phone software to a newer one. Also I noticed I have a "display" device because it says not for sale behind my phone.
After typing *#1234# I got
AP: G970FXXU4BTB1
CP: G970FXXU4BTAA
CSC: G970FOXM4BTA8
Model : SM-G970F/DSM
is it possible to update this to a newer version? If so can someone link me to a newer version preferably in my own country which is malaysia I guess.

Combine original PDA/PHONE/CSC with other firmware?

Hi having SGS I9000 branded by Tmobile Czech republic iam quite unhappy with GPS which is unable to get a position fix. I remember that on the Eclair it worked well.
I was told by support that there is no way i can revert to Eclair.
So iam thinking of going forward for Froyo 2.2.1 which i was told is far better then 2.2.
What concerns me is how to get phone to original state in case of some problems to use warranty.
I know, that its not possible to download current FW from phone, but i would like to be sure that i can restore Firmware by firmware from internet.
And i dont know for what carrier will look for to see wheter there is original firmware or not.
PDA: I9000BOJPB
PHONE: I9000BOJP3
CSC: I9000GTMZJP5
Build info: 2010.11
PCode: GT-I9000HKDTMZ
I have found this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=11607165) but its said that its a fake(??) and also CSC differs.
Q1: Can i backup the PDA/PHONE/CSC via ODIN and then combine them with firmware listed bellow?
Q2: How can i tell that firmware is fake? Is there some emulator or something to see it?
Thanks for answer,
MP

[Q] Can't update via Kies or OTA

Hello everyone,
Long time ago i flashed a stock Austria 4.1.2 ROM (N7100XXDMC3_N7100OXXDMC2_N7100XXDLK7_HOME.tar.md5) and some days ago my phone started telling me it has a system update (which fails everytime)
Cannot update OTA and Kies says "Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies."
Changing CSC to NEE with CSC Changer didn't help
Flashed N7100XXDME6_N7100ROMDMF1_N7100XXDME4_HOME.tar.md5 from sammobile and still got the same problem
I didn't flash a separate CSC/modem/anything else
*#1234# says:
AP: N7100XXDME6
CP: N7100XXDME4
CSC: N7100ROMDMF1
Settings -> About:
Baseband version: N7100XXDME4
Build number: JZO54K.N7100XXDME6
Kies says:
PDA:ME6 / PHONE:ME4 / CSC:MF1 (XXX) --> why XXX ?
Phone's box shows: GT-N7100TADCOA (COA means Cosmote, and Phone was bought from Orange?!). It should had ORO (Orange Romania) - as I had Orange startup screen and Orange apps in it
From what I know, you can change the CSC ONLY on OPEN firmware
Well, I got lost between the codes. I know you have to have Product Code and CSC "linked", like Product Code shows the Country and CSC the region, right ?
I don't care if it's Open Austria or Unbranded Romania (does that even exist ? CSC HAT ?), I just want an unbranded stock (and rootable) firmware.
P.S: I tried changing Product Code with Simlock Remote Client and I admit I don't know what i have now and how to check
Any suggestions/help much appreciated !
Bro... I guess yu hve installed dfrrent region frmware ...dats d reason for ur problem
Hit thanks rather typing
SENT FROM MY LAVA IRIS 455 using xda developers app

cant update

when I go to the gear app and press check for updates nothing happens, how can I install the new update
Maybe first identify your device...
Then check if all Firmware text is valid...
For instance with:
Code:
*#1234#
Enter this Code into your Gear Wearable... and write Result here...
Maybe something is wrong... or simple for your device no update available..
Best Regards

Hmm, could be valid...
No idea yet what else required.... to check Samsung Firmware database...
http://www.tizenexperts.com/2016/12/gear-s3-units-europe-start-receiving-second-firmware-update/
And your handset?
Android device with latest Gear Manager Version?
Ehm, I have more experince with Tizen Mobile...
I am more Wearable Noob...
Best Regards

yes I have a note 5 with latest gear manager version there's no update in the store, I guess I will wait maybe the update didn't reach my region yet? I'm in the middle east
Need some time how to identify country CSC...
I mean the 3 important letter OJV (or DBT for Germany) for instance...
I know no database, where to look at... like for Mobiles...
Best Regards
Yes the csc seems to be the same at all gear. I have bought my gear in China. The csc code is the same. But yesterday i got the update.
Firmware require identifcaiotn if valid by Product Code... last 3 Chars...
Example...
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/wearables/smartwatches/samsung-gear-s3-frontier-sm-r760ndaaxar/
Code:
SM-R760NDAA[B][COLOR="SeaGreen"]XAR[/COLOR][/B]
Something like this must be proper stored in device...
So Firmware check happens by compare valid TEXT strings.
If this Product/Country Code is not enabled in Database or Mistake or any other kinds of "problems"...
You got NO Firmware update.
Best Regards

Need Help with At&t Note 20 Ultra

I just purchased a used Note 20 Ultra that was originally for At&t and unlocked, I am using it with my T-Mobile sim and all works fine. I am little concerned as the UI is 3.1 and Android Version is 11 and it says software is up to date, is this correct?
Before I purchased it I also requested Unlock code from At&t and they sent the Unlock code which is weird since it is already Unlocked .....Maybe I am just being paranoid.
The imei on the phone matches the imei on the back of phone and shows all clear on swappa imei.
So the question is how can I tell is any software/fw was altered on this device to Unlock it early?
*#1234# shows the following versions:
AP: N986USQS2DUH3
CP: N986USQS2DUH3
CSC: N986UOYN2DUH3
Model: SM-N986U
I have installed Phone Info+ (SAM) in case anymore info is required to help with this
Thank you in advance for any help.
I think that I'm in the same boat. I received a insurance replacement phone that was unlocked, but I think that Geek Squad had to get an unlock code to get it to work on Tmobile. My phone has never been updated. It's still on the software that it shipped with. My old phone had the black screen of death, and I'm trying to flash a more recent version of Android with Odin. What's your baseband version?
My Baseband version is N986USQS2DUH3
