Hey guys.
Also rocking an Xiaomi 12 and loving it.
I am curious about supported charging standards.
On the Website of xiaomi i cant figure it out.
What does it support:
Xiaomis 67 Watt - sure it does with the charger int he box
USB-PD? (if jex, how many watt)
QualComm QuickCharge? (if yes, which: 2, 3,4, 5 ...)
thx
I have received an answer from Xiaomi.
Here is it:
Xiaomi 12 uses a single cell design, with a 4500-mAh-Lithium-Ion battery and the max charging power is 67 W.
It supports PPS/QC2 .0/QC3.0/PD2.0/PD3.0 and other general fast charging protocols.

Does OnePlus 6 support charging over USB Power Delivery standard? I have a couple USB-PD chargers laying around from Google Pixel so I would like to know if I will be able to take advantage of the charging standard if I get the OnePlus 6.
I'm not a fan of every phone manufacturer introduces their own fast-charging method. Huawei has SuperCharge, Oppo has VOOC, OnePlus has DashCharge.
Thankfully, Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 supports USB-PD which requires Snapdragon 845 CPU, which OnePlus 6 has onboard and Qualcomm's website also says that the OnePlus 6 supports QC4.0 so I assume the device would support USB Power Delivery standard too.
Can anyone confirm this? Thank you.

Bump, same question
No this device doesn't support PD. They use their own proprietary charging of Dash Charge. It's almosy equivalent to VOOC charging by OPPO.
Is this also the case with OP 6T? I thought I read somewhere that the 6T supported USB PD ?
To qualify, yes you can plug your phone into a USB Type C PD charger and it will charge BUT it will only charge at the slower rate. It would be like plugging it into a regular slow charger. So if u want to charge your device slowly then sure use a PD charger, you just won't get the benefit of fast charge.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A6000 using Tapatalk
Cellphone Charge Protocol:
Huawei: SuperCharge & FastCharge
Xiaomi: Quick Charge 3.0 & 4.0
OPPO & Oneplus:VOOC/DASH
PD can't dash charge the Oneplus , It needs a converter.
I can't seem to find any charger compatible with the PE 4.0
https://www.mediatek.com/blog/connect-with-confidence-pump-express-4-0-charges-in-half-the-time
Also can't find more detailed information about how it works anywhere, my best bet about a charger that could work with it is the Huawei Supercharge, with provides 5v 2A/ 5v 4.5A/4.5v 5A, you guys think it could enable the Pump Express 4.0?As it is sait to use up to 5V 5A, or would it only work on Huawei smartphones?I already tried qualcomm qc3.0 chargers and they didn't work at all, but that's due to qualcomm relying on bigger tension, instead of bigger current for their technology to work.
My cellphone is a Blu VIVO XI+ powered by Helio p60 processor, I don't know why but Blu shoot their own feet by shipping a 5V/2A charger in a cellphone with a not that good battery, if it wasn't for that, the phone would be perfect for it's price.

If no one knows the answer even in XDA, I'm pretty much out of options

The technology in the phone is named differently than what it's called in the charger, you want a charger that supports "Power Delivery 3.0" to get the best performance fast charge, basically the same charger that is shipped with the new Google Pixel phones. Amazon has several on the cheap that work really well with my Blu Vivo XI+. Keep in mind that you will need a usb c to usb c cable to utilize it as the power adapter itself has a usb c port that outputs the higher wattage power! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078W6NK4H/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is the one I got and it works real well!
I haven't been able to find an answer online through google searches. Does anyone know if it is safe to use the charger block and USB-c cable from a Pixel 1 or 2 to charge a Huawei P30 pro?
Would be a shame to need to toss the stuff I already have. But I know USB-c can carry alot of power and I dont want to wreck anything.
Thank you for your time.

My understanding is that you can use any USB C charger with the P30 Pro but that you won't get Supercharge unless you use a Supercharger and a Huawei cable (with the purple colour in the USB-A connector).
The official Pixel and Pixel charger shouldn't cause any damage - surely Huawei has an obligation that their device conforms to USB C standards?

As much as i get it u can use any cable but i think u wont get supercharge speed. So i dont think it will harm your device but u wont get supercharging benefit of it.
According to what I found searching online:
The Google Pixel comes with its own USB Power Delivery based charger that supports 15 watts (5 volts @ 3 amps) and 18 watts (9 volts @ 2 amps).
The P30 Pro's charger uses 10 volts @ 4 amps (40 watts) to supercharge.
Since the Pixel's charger doesn't exceed the P30 Pro's charger output there won't be any problems using it with the P30 Pro, but you won't be able to supercharge your phone with it.
Just like the previous posts stated, also Type-C chargers (at least the good ones) should put out a standard charge of 5 volts @ 2 or 2.1 amps when used with phones that are not compatible with their quick charging technology. Non-Huawei 4 amps capable cables should work for supercharging when paired with a Huawei supercharger. I am currently unaware if there are any aftermarket chargers compatible with supercharging but given the odds there might as well be some out there.
I m trying to choose PowerBank for my OnePlus 8.
There are no any banks when Dart/Warp Charge supported at this time.
I think about another kind of charging type: PD or QC if those are supported by OP8 device
PD yes up to 20 watts i belive Not bad
Hi all,
Hello,
does anybody know/use what type of Xiaomi Original Wireless Charger and what apdapter for the non-pro Xiaomi13 to get the full fast 50w wireless charging?
There are several options out there
50w wireless charger
55w (seems the same as 50w just different branding/wattage printed on device)
80w with 120w apapter
There is no offical informations about that and otherwise there are no precise informations available somewhere over the internet.
Thanks in advance.
Apparently its option C (source, miui eu forum thread), but I got a regular 15w wireless charger, 80w is expensive, if I need it, I still got original charger for speed, also I heard it gets loud iwth the inbuilt fan and still fairly hot.

Hi. My phone is Xiaomi 13 Global version (codename is fuxi). I'm using xiaomi.eu stable rom.
A few month ago I've investigated this issue. So pls find below my findings:
1. Original wireless chargers 50w and 55w - both in black color. And for both the model is "MDY-12-EN". They are absolutely the same, the difference only as follow:
50W model (MDY-12-EN) - set of wireless charger + wired charger 67W + cable 6A
55W model (MDY-12-EN) - only wireless charger
2. The model "MDY-12-EN" will charge Xiaomi 13 by full 50W power
3. Regarding Xiaomi 13 Pro, the charging by model "MDY-12-EN" will be limited to 30W due to different location of magnetic coil.
4. That's why Xiaomi released in 2023 upgraded 50W version (in white color).
The new 50W model is "MDY-14-EN" especially for Xiaomi 13 Pro to get full 50W power. In addition, new model is more quiet than previous.
5. Soon I will test new 50W model "MDY-14-EN" with my Xiaomi 13 (not pro). I believe also get full 50W power.
6. Original wireless chargers 80W (MDY-13-ED) and 100W (MDY-13-EL) will charge Xiaomi 13/13Pro by full 50W power. The only remarks they are very loud and can be annoying while sleeping and resting.
7. Original Car wireless charger 50W, the model "WCJ05ZM", will charge Xiaomi 13 by full 50W power.
However, for Xiaomi 13 Pro the power will be limited to 30W due to different location of magnetic coil.
