I am trying to update my lg v450vm from android 10 to 11.
It is running stock Verizon V450VM20f
I downloaded V450VM30b_00_VZW_US_OP_0120 KDZ from the LG site along with LGUP, Uppercut and the LG USB drivers. I installed the USB drivers and LGUP.
I place the phone in download mode and run Uppercut.
Uppercut recognizes my device, I select the upgrade button and then the KDX file.
When I press start, the progress bar shows 4%, the title bar says USB connection established and then Uppercut closes.
Running on Windows 11
Any thoughts?

Edit: Title should read flashing stock firmware

Solved.
My problems was that I had to download a common.dll file for LG and place it in the common folder for LGUP. The update went well to 11. Cant wait for a 12 KDZ to be released.

Hello there, I am currently on V450P20n with Android 10 from Sprint..Bought the unit from eBay and I am currently using it in Guatemala. No updates or anything since July 11th 2021. Is there a step by step guide of how we can go ahead and get Android 11 (Stuck, not Custom ROM) ? I had some experience back in the days with Samsung and Odin to flash some OEM ROMS, and I love how this cellphone looks. He is a keeper.
Anyways, any help would be appreciated!

This is only for people who have corrupted baseband issues (no signal, ? battery icon, and baseband is listed as unknown); if you are stuck at the s/w upgrade screen, you want another thread.
If you are stuck with a corrupted baseband and are unable to flash a .kdz through the updater, keep reading. I have only tried this on xp, and I have tried it with the kdz software updater and uptext_mod2.
1. Set up your drivers, hold volume down, and plug the phone in.
2. Open your device manager, go to modems, and disable the LGE android modem, leave device manager open
3. Start either KDZ_FW_UPD or UpTestEX_mod2_marwin, load the correct .kdz (v21e_00.01.kdz worked for me) and select cs_emergency, it should say Launching SW Update, then Unpacking KDZ
4. As soon as the next group of lines fills in (starting with KDZ file extracted, ending with Call fn_StartUpgrade, enable the LGE android modem in device manager
5. It will give you several lines with wParam and lParam numbers, and disconnect and reconnect once, then when it is finished, it will show the LG logo. Put your battery back in and boot, it should work, if not, try another .kdz (v21y_00.kdz would not work for me).
I used this to fix my g2x with a corrupted baseband, recorrupted it and uncorrupted it again to verify it works. Thanks to kosh2thamax for the cs_emergency idea,
i tried this but it stopped with this msg "MOD UPtestEX MCF has stopped...." anything i need to do to keep it working? thanks.

Hello guys,
This is my first post so I would like to say hello and thanks to everyone who contributes to the forum.
I have the LG Optimus 3D (P920) currently on the version below. I have had terrible problems with ghost calls and battery being drained extremely quickly when using 3G connectivity. To get around these problems I have been using 2G since 2011 when I upgraded the software via LG website.
My question is could somebody please advise me of a stable ROM I can use to upgrade from the below version and instructions on how to install it?, any help would be greatly appreciated. I've looked at ROMS but there are so many different ones I don't know which one would be suitable to upgrade from my current version.
Official LG ROM
Android ver 2.3.5
Baseband ver L620_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00
Build GRJ90
Software Version LGP920-V20a-NOV-30-2011

You really need to update to ICS. You can get official upgrade via lg software update using LG pcsuite, or you can do it by following the guide listed in the forum. There are quite a few but this one is good.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195753
The rom I am using is jellycream v2 by optimusRS, and am very pleased with it.

Hi Keith210350,
Thanks for your reply and help. I have tried he official LG update via pcsuite, it tells me there is an update then when I try to update its gets about 40% through analysing pc settings then bombs out saying I am already at the latest software version.
I am trying to flash the ROM you mentioned all goes well until I get to the flash tool, I can select the .dll and .bin files then progress to the next step where I press the arrow start button but it doesn't seem to select the port or say ready but my phone shows a grey circle with two green arrows in it then some writing that starts with S/W then chinese writing, at this point I'm not sure if its updating or not any ideas?
BTW I'm using Win 7 Pro 64Bit

Check driver install carefully, all details. If that is not correct, flash will not proceed as described. The S/W means your phone is in download mode.
You should be seeing a progress bar going from 0% to 100% (for the .bin).
Also, if you still have drivers on your pc from when you tried update tool, they will conflict with the ones from the guide.

Hi Drastic00,
Thanks very much for replying, by the way your instructons are greatly appreciated for noobs like me! I managed to get the LGflashtool into saying ready and my phone with the S/W screen but it doesn't appear to be updating no progress bar either on the phone or LGflashtool, the lGflashtool just sits at ready. Tried connecting phone holding volume up connecting cable then battery and the other way around as per instructions but still the tool sits at ready. The only bit regarding drivers I struggled with is USB controller it was LGE composit slightly different name to te insructions, also there wan't any port option to change the COM port number to COM41? could this be a reason why LGflashtool wont connect to my phone?
One thing when my phone reboots in the top left corner I get text that says Booti mmc_read 0x4c0e60 not sure what this is could it be something to do with that stopping it updating?
Best Regards
Chimaera500
OYes, it should show up exactly as written. FT will not work unless all that is correct. You probably have LG drivers left from before conflicting with the ones from the guide. Uninstall all things LG, restart pc and reinstall drivers and again restart pc. Read all carefully.
Do all this signed onto pc as admin.

Dear chimaera500,
I think it is a problem of OMPA drivers or LGE Mobile USB serial port selection.
attached guide and files may help you.
YEEE HAAA...it's done!
Managed to flash my phone but slightly different to the instructions, installed drivers as per instructions but still the flashtool just stayed at ready and wouldn't connect. I didn't get the LG port settings to appear and couldn't change the COM port COM41 so I carried on, connected the phone with battery (without holding the volume up button) and then the drivers started installing again and I could see the LG com port and I was able change the settings to COM41 disconnected phone and connected again holding the volume up and the ROM started flashing! did the same for the baseband flash and that worked.
My phone is great now, it's like a new phone now and even connects properly to my car phone kit and downloads the phone book!
Many thanks to Drastic00 and SL_Nuwan for your help and advice keep up the good work!
Many thanks
Chimaera500
Yes, you have to disconnect the phone from pc and connect it again for the LG drivers to install.
Unable to find a solution to my problem. Searched and read many threads on the subject and think I've about tried everything with no luck.
Have a T-Mobile D801 phone. Took the OTA update and successfully upgraded to kitkat. Did not like kitkat so I downgraded back to 4.2.2 using the LG Mobile tool and the D801110C.kdz file. This downgrade was successful and I was able to root also with success.
So I have a stock rooted 4.2.2 phone with stock recovery.
Used the phone several weeks before playing with the build.prop file. After a modification, restarted the phone and the phone now will not boot past the LG splash screen.
The phone will boot to stock recovery as well as fully boot to download mode.
Installed newest LG mobile tools as well as the drivers, and reinstalled several times.
I have tried using the standard LG mobile tools to revert to stock. When using this method, the program identifies the phone correctly as a D801 but does not list a software version and tells me that there is no upgrade available. When click on upgrade recovery, it tells me that there is nothing to fix. So, I tried clicking on upgrade recovery without phone attached and enter the imei number and connect the phone. The software downloads the update successfully but when it attempts to install, stops at 2-3% and tells me to connect the phone. Restart the phone in download mode, reconnect and attempt again with same failure. Have tried this with swapping the downloaded file with110C, 110G, and kitkat KDZ files and all fail equally at 2-3%.
Have changed and tried com ports 41, 7, and 4 as well as disable LG modem in device manager and all fail.
Have tried this method on a windows 8 64 machine, windows 7 64 machine, and windows xp 32 machine and all still yield equal results. Tried several different USB cables and ports.
Have attempted using the KDZ with the L&D method using the 110C/D and kitkat files and the 110C/D fail at 49% and the kitkat will not even start, just errors right away. Tried this method with the different computers as well as cables and com ports.
I have also tried using the LG flash tool with the D801 TOT file and dll. Will not start and gives me error that the model numbers do not match even though it says it is a D801 at the top of the program.
At a loss here for what to try next. Any help on this would be much appreciated.
FIXED
Fixed the problem. Couldn't get any of the above methods to work. Downloaded the LG Firmware Extractor and extracted the .DLL from the TOT file and used that with LGFlashTool. That worked perfectly. Up and running again.

[Q] LG G2 Lollipop instal
Hi there i dont know nothing about instaling new sistems manually on android so here i am to ask you something. Im using Lg G2 D8022 Europe version and im on Android KitKat 4.4.2 and there are is no automatic softwear update available. So i want to update my phone to lollipop 5.0.2 that i supported by my phone so i found this article (i cant post link, but il coppy the article below ) and downloaded all that, but im confused and i dont want to mess up my phone, i found something about rooting and i dont know what that is and do i need to root my phone before i do this? If not, if this article is correct and all i need to is follow its instructions and it will instal me correctly new sistem i have another problem and that is geting my phone in download mode, when i do it (press volume button up and plug in usb cable) my phone starts charging. Im sorry if i have grammar mistakes im not native.
Here is the article :
How To Install Stock Android 5.0 2 Lollipop Firmware On LG G2 D802
To update your phone, download the stock Android 5.0.2 Lollipop firmware KDZ file for the LG G2 D802 variant from this link and save it on your computer. The file is about 1.8 GB, so you need a good internet connection.
Now you need LG drivers to connect your phone with computer. Download the drivers from this link and install it on your computer.
You will also need to download the LG Flash Tool 2014 tool and save it on your computer. Once it is downloaded, extract the file.
Turn off your phone and enter download mode on the phone. Connect the device to your PC using the USB cable.
Now open the LGFlashTool2014.exe file. Select your device type and phone mode from the drop-down menu. Next, choose the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop .kdz file that you downloaded to your computer via the ‘Select KDZ File’ option.
Click on Normal Flash/CSE flash and then click on start to begin the flashing process. You do not need to choose the desired language, it will be chosen automatically. Now wait until the firmware is flashed on your device.
Once the flashing is complete, disconnect your LG G2 from the computer and power it on.
Now you will find that your LG G2 is running the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop. Have a fun!
Written for users who are experimenting with cross variant roms that cannot update back to stock through Uppercut (LGUP), LG Bridge, due to having a mismatched version and firmware. (Requires LG Bridge to at least recognize your original LG V20 Model number.) I am uncertain but might be able to revert to earlier versions of KDZ for some variants.
WARNING: By following these direction/procedure, you are agreeing in taking full responsibility and accountability for your devices.
Situation:
After experimenting with H910 rom with the H915, changing build.prop, modem, and after trying to flash back to stock, LGUP would only recognize the phone as a H910 model. The LGUP would not flash the H915 KDZ as there is a difference is model number, (stuck at 4%) while, on LGBridge and LG Support tool, it was able to detect that it was an H915 with a H910 firmware. It would download the update but unable to flash the device. With no operating system, no adb fastboot access, no recovery, manual resetting not functioning, this might be for you. (As long as Stock OEM .KDZ is available)
Requirements:
- Some sort of USB C adapter so that it can connect directly through USB 2.0/3.0. Does not work with LG OEM cable or through USB 3.1. [You could use a USB C to 3.0 adapter with a male to male USB 3.0 cable or USB C to Micro USB adapter.
- Stock .KDZ for your model either extracted from LG Bridge. (It’s a hidden folder and you should be able to also find the .dll for your device aswell. But I believe most of the V20 .dll are all the same.
C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\LG Electronics\LG Bridge\SWUpgrade\Image or download through http://lg-firmwares.com/
- WindowsLGFirmwareExtract-1.2.6.1-Release.zip by @bullghost , to extract .KDZ files and to require .DZ Files as well as .DLL.
- LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.msi
- LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0.exe run as administrator
- Might not be required but I'll attach some other drivers downloaded through Lg support tool was for H915 but might work for others.
Procedure:
- Once acquiring the stock .KDZ file from either sources, run WindowsLGFirmwareExtract.exe unzipped from WindowsLGFirmwareExtract-1.2.6.1.zip
- Open and extract the .KDZ file to acquire the .DZ and .DLL files.
- Connect the LG V20 with a USB C adapter cable that is USB 3.0/2.0, this probably would not work if you use the OEM LG Cable, as it is USB 3.1.
- Open Device Manager and under Ports ( COM & LPT) , Change the device port to COM41, through properities -> port settings -> advanced -> Com port Number 41-> Ok
- Run Uppercut.exe but make sure anti-virus does not remove C:\WINDOWS\sysWOW64\cleanup.exe.
- Once LGUP is running, make sure you tick the UPDATE option and NOT REFURBISHED or FOTA.
- Select the extracted .DZ file and UPDATE it. By using the .DZ file and the USB 3.0/2.0 cable you are able to bypass the firmware model mismatch as long as it recognizes your original model. Ex: Was able to avoid H915> H910 LGUP firmware update error with the .DZ.
- If flashing finally starts to work and finishes, you might be welcomed by a FACTORY RESET STATUS Blue screen 2?
Now you can disconnect the USB, remove the battery, reassemble, then hold the Volume up button before reconnecting the USB to re-enter firmware update/download mode.
- By now, you can disconnect and reconnect it to UPPERCUT/LGUP and possibly choose any .KDZ file that is your OEM MODEL and update it back to 100% stock.
Some fixes to problems:
- LGUP can't load the model [C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\ LGUP model\com {Solution: Run uppercut.exe with anti-virus off}
- If LGUP has a problem detecting your devices rename the LGUPc.dll you either downloaded from LG Bridge or extracted and rename it LGUP_Common.dll and place in C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\common\*
Some fun software to modify .dll and .exe .
I hope this method will give people more confidence to explore the H915 model as well as other models.

I'm experimenting with my H915 and trying to flash the H918 KDZ. I have two USB C cables. My device is detected on port 41, but when I try to flash the .dz file with Uppercut it fails at 10% and when I reboot and go back into download mode it still says it an H915 and can't flash the .kdz. I tried both USB cables.
Any advice?
Edit: Could the issue be they are both USB 3.1 cables? The phone IS detected on port 41 as a H915.

I didn't think that usb 3.1 would be a problem but when I hard bricked it the first time, usb 3.0 cable solved the problem. When it gets stuck at 10 percent, it's getting stuck at the laf part right?
I'd still advise against flashing the h918 kdz I think we could develop a ROM h915 based on us996 as both does not have bloated carrier applications, as well as being global variants.
Did you flash a h918 TWRP, as well as a h918 stock ROM ?
Alright. So anybody got any idea what to expect. Everyone I run it the program fails at 12% i tried LG bridge as well it downloaded the update (took 2 ducking hours LG has some ****ty servers.) And it failed as well.
I used the usb included in the box the usb cable that came with nexus 6p and the usb that came with Alcatel idol 4s Windows phone. Every. Single. Cable. So since I didn't know if the cables were right I went to Amazon and ordered a usb 3.0 to usb c cable.
Does anyone know if the cables might be the issue Wal-Mart only had is 2.0 to c cables. LG is such a ****ing failure give us access to fastboot from a coldboot or make your device assistant program force flash it's DATA. I'm assuming it won't flash it because my phone identifies itself as a Google pixel but the program was smart enough to download the right update run an md5 of the update but when it went to apply it LOLNOPE THAT'S A PIXEL NVM! Literally all of this could be solved with fastboot flash recovery twrp.img but what do I know they only left the bootloader unlockable accessible via adb to run oem unlock and they didn't have the foresight to include a functional boot to fastboot option /endrant
Will this cable work amazon/dp/B0119EIHTG/

Do you access to either, system, TWRP, fastboot, or firmware update mode?
What did you flash that makes it recognize it as a pixel? Which model phone do you have ? The USB cable might not be an issue if you can't get lgup to recognize it as an LG phone

New cable doesn't make difference. Wtf can I do
imgur/AJBLjsC.jpg
Oh no lgup and bridge recognize the model number and LG bridge even begins downloading the kdz for it. Its the Tmobile version so h918tn no twrp, no fastboot just download mode. Lgu0 gets to 12% and fails something like unrecognized command error 0x2bc or something.
Lgbridge despite recognizing the device and downloading the right firmware throws an error before it starts flashing I'm assuming it's because it's just trying to flash the .kdz and not the dz so when it checks the build.prop it says hold up this isn't the right phone compared to the kdz info
Gonna pop a new post in here. I tried the usb c cable it didn't matter [out 10$ now] however I managed to make it to fastboot. The bad news is that it doesn't help at all despite my unlocked bootloader fastboot won't write or boot images. Thanks obama
The simple way of life of fastboot flash recovery twrp.img didn't work it fails when it goes to write, same with boot.
So contacted LG to see if begging for an official tot would work so I'll wait a bit if not I'll just return it to mobile under warranty just gotta figure out a good warranty reason
I got tired of ****ing with it so I proceeded to process a warranty exchange with T-Mobile.... so if anyone wants to give me ideas to try the device is getting fixed anyway throw it at the wall family. I have an s7 now anyway
