Hi All.
I have a problem with bootloop on my MTCD_KD. I want to clear user data but i don't know how to enter recovery mode.
I try to long press power + RST but no luck.
Please help me.
It can be a pain in the butt.
The Joyings changed from the easy power+rst on MTCB to this goofy process on MTCD:
Pres and hold power for a LONG TIME
Eventually it will go black, and reset and a bit later the front panel lights will flash THREE TIMES
Let go of the power button after the flashes
Wait one second
Just quickly click the power button
That 3 flash - 1 sec - click is what seems to activate recovery mode. If you miss the timing just right it will just continue to boot up normal.

Hold power button down until it starts to reboot and the lights flash, immediately release then press and release the power button again one time and it should boot into recovery mode

Hi zmylna.
Try long press power until button lights blink, and then short press power button again. That's right for my JY.

On my MTCD the button marked power wasn't the power button.
The real power button was the little reset hole that you press with a paperclip.

Good luck, on mine it took a few tries to get it.
I ended up just randomly pushing the button until it went to recovery.

For my unit (KD), i long press RESET (like yo do in the video).
After several secs. the lights start blinking (three times i think) and after that it makes a long light blink.
remove pressing the button in the starting of that long blink, and press button again once quickly.
I have KD Android 5.1 Quad core, MTCD, 1024*600 car unit.
unfortunately just after changing of my car battery, the unit completely dead no screen, no power, no sound and it is not turned on at all.
I checked that all fuses are connect.
when I am holding Power button more than 10 second, only the button lights, turned on and by releasing the power button the LEDs turned off again.
The company say probably because of main board problem and suggest me finding someone to check the main board if it have any problem or not?
would you please help me how I can check the main board?
Is it possible that the core board have also problem?

It seems the device is bricked and do not turn on at all. I connected audio/video out (normally provided in back of unit for connecting optional rear monitor) to a another monitor but I don't also see anything. By pressing and releasing the reset key is blinked one time and the unit don't turn on.

Even bricked you can see at least the lollipop logo....the video input is managed by mcu (not Android) and it should work even Android part not booting...so...or it is a mcu problem or a display problem.....did you checked what I said before (wait the time for a normal boot and try if touching the screen the headunit does anything (Even you couldn't see anything)

I also connect the USB flash memory (the flash have LED) but the Led of flash memeory don't turning on. I can not check the radio because the headunit is now disconnect the car and I don't have any connected speaker to unit.
A few minute after connecting the power I am feeling the back of headunit is warmed a little.
Hi All,
New guy to the forum, but have been led here multiple times looking for answers. Typically I find them but I'm stuck on this one.
I have an AVIN 5.1.1 9" Navigation Headunit and I am stuck [during/after?] bootup with a screen that says
"Android is Starting"
"Optimizing App 1 of 1"
I've googled for a solution and it says I need to wipe the cache by booting into recovery, which leads me to a new problem--I don't know the combination to get into recovery. I've contacted AVIN, and they have responded, but with just solutions from this forum already--and not directly to the particular headunit.
I can't post pictures or links yet since I'm a new member but it looks like the 6.0 unit of the first hit when you google "e46 9 inch avin"
It has ONE hard button (RST) in the lower left above the MIC. If you press the RST button, the softbuttons light up. If you hold the RST button (even for a minute long) nothing happens until you let go of the RST button. It appears that pressing the RST button removes power from the unit and power is not returned until the RST button is depressed. During boot up, I can press the power button, but it appears that it just shuts off the LCD. I've tried holding the power button down, but nothing also happens.
I'm at a loss and so I'm trusting that the experts on this forum can help.
**SOLUTION FOUND**
using an external usb keyboard, I connected to one of the USB ports.
During boot up, I repeatedly pressed "alt+print screen+e" (no quotes).
It eventually got to recovery boot but there was no way for me to move/select options
I repeatedly pressed "alt+print screen+e" (no quotes) again
keyboard arrows and "enter" works
I know it sounds hokey so I'm not really sure on the details of how everything worked out so if anyone has insight, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
The SOM says "HCT-SOFIA-3GR-(DDR3)REV2.0"
Hi, folks,
Now, this is something very disappointing and frustrating, my brand new device #RedmiNote5 has left me! It was on the table and now only the white light blinks after I press the device turn on button. Tried long pressing the power button, no luck. also tried pressing the Power button + the Volume up button for more than 60 seconds, still the same.
Can someone please help me understand, how do I get rid of this?
If there is any possible solution for this?
Whom should I contact?
Your responses would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Azim Shaikh
Hello,
last evening my s10e had an issue at the power button/fingerprint scanner, it doesnt work anymore! for me now it's impossible to power on the phone, i feel a classical click when i push the button, but the phone doesn't start, is there a way to power on it without this button?
i've tried to connect the phone and force the start with adb, but it remais off.
Help me please, i am in greece for holidays and i can't go in a samsung point
Are you tries restarting phone with button combo?
Using a particular combination of buttons, you can force your Galaxy S10, S10 plus, and the S10e to restart the system. Here’s how to do this.
Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down button simultaneously until the device screen turns off.
May need to press and hold for more than 7 seconds
It will shut down and restart automatically
If the device screen stays black and you’re unable to see if it has turned off, keep holding down the Power and Volume Down buttons until you feel a vibration.

Thank you for your answer! Unfortunately i tried to force restart with this combination but nothing has happened... it's very weird, tomorrow i will return at home and i will go in a samsung point for the check up. I will write update as soon as i will understand what happened :/
After few days the assistance told me that the cause of the problem was water (wasnt it waterproof?) so i have to change power and volume buttons. Very disappointed
Must still be at the store
same thing
I was looking for some infor. My powerbutton stopped working. The fingerprint sensor works but not the power button. I wanted to take a few shots underwater. Maybe just 10 inches underwater and this happend. Looks like its not so waterproofed. I got lucky that the device was on. It looks like if it get off there is no way to turn it on.
Hi all. This forum came up in a search and wondering if anyone can help. I have an Xtrons PB7839BP head unit example for specs - ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32849856346.html ) where the on/off button wasn't working, but the volume on the same button did work. I tried to mess around doing an panel button reset and the unit started to reboot but didn't come back on.
Nothing happens on switching on the car, no button lights or nothing. The unit does come alive when selecting reverse and the reverse camera starts, all the buttons light up but am unable to do anything.
I've tried pressing the RST button in both its dead mode and where there is power with the reverse camera on. I was unsure how long to do this and tried several time with longer intervals. Where the unit is dead and doing this, the lights only blink on releasing the button, but nothing happens. When doing it with the camera and power seemingly on, it immediately closes the camera and all the button lights go out, with still nothing happening.
Not that great with these things, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd be grateful if they explained it very simply !
Thanks
