This guide should help you downgrade the software on your LG TV so you can get root if you've updated to 3.30.10 like I did.
I've tried to include as much information as I can and there are 3 methods to choose from on the GitHub
This has been tested and confirmed to downgrade on an LG 43 Inch TV 2021 Model - LG-43UP75006LF https://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-43up75006lf from Software Version 3.30.10 to 3.21.30 but should work on other LG TV models too with the relevant firmware for that TV.
Hope this helps and let me know if you've tried it
Dude this is awesome! Thanks for putting this together. Unfortunately, I cannot find a suitable previous firmware for my model(70UN6950ZUA). I got the reference list and tried all 73 models but I couldn't find any on the Korean website. I'm not giving up though. I will now scour the internet for firmware.
Well I found a the right 3.21.75 firmware for my tv using the way back machine! Unfortunately, I tried all three methods of downgrading and none of them worked… I can get to the usb software update screen but when I click update it just tells me it’s unable to update. My tv is on webOS 5.3.2-2208 software version 4.35.30 and I currently have a pending update to 4.40.09.

So nice job again
I have a 50" UN 70006LA and downloaded the latest firmware image from the telegram channel. All three methods fail with my current installed SW (4.40.09). Is there someone with the same issue and managed to downgrade the firmware?
Can someone search for the 32lm625bpsb firmware for me I can't find
Unfortunately, I can't find old firmware for my OLED77A19LA anywhere. Anyone knows where else to look?
This morning my unrooted OLED55G26LA tv updated to sw 03.21.45 and WebOs 7.2.0-47 (mullet marine)
Is there any way to root this tv?
I couldn't find my TV model nor any of the related models on the Korean LG website. If I try to use a different firmware is there a risk to brick my TV?
Hi there! Thanks for sharing this guide on downgrading LG TV software to get root access. It's great to see that you've included multiple methods to choose from on your GitHub page. This will be helpful to many people who have updated to version 3.30.10 and are looking to gain root access. If you need to test it professionally, I suggest using zaptest.com. Good luck, and I hope this helps!
i tried method 1 and 2, but for method 3 it doesn't give me access to the ssh client

Hi, Iam from India and Iam using LG G Pro(F240, Korean model), Android version 4.1.2, Kernal version 3.4.0.
Software version LG-F240-EUR.
I have root access and while attempting to remove bloatware, I accidentally removed 'video streaming' system software and from that time onwards I am not able to stream YouTube videos on my device. Using Tubemate, Iam able to download YouTube vids, but Iam not able to directly view YouTube videos.
Tried hard reset, but no use.
Went to LG service Centre. They agreed to port Jellybean, Indian version into my phone(they did not have Kitkat), but again they said, the OS versions being from different countries may clash and the motherboard may have to be changed.
They quoted big price for the new motherboard, for which I disagreed.
Now, can anybody please provide the missing 'video streaming' software for my device?
Or can I port android kitkat on to my phone from the Internet?
Can I Port Kitkat Indian version or should I go for the Kitkat Korean version only?
Please help.
I suggest checking out this section here
There are several guides for you to follow to restore your device to stock, and if you register you can also ask questions there.
Good luck
Hello,
I managed to get the ROM links (Google Drive), for iFFalcon TV models, which run Official Android TV 7.0/8.0, and are sold in India.
iFFalcon is a sub-brand by TCL.
These are .rar files, which need to be extracted to a pendrive, & then plugged into TV's USB port.
Procedure:
Keep Pressing Power button on TV, & switch it ON, Keep pressing for 10~15 seconds, & the Update Process should start Automatically.
Find the software link below:

I haven't yet used these links, since i'm waiting for OTA update.
Why would you want to root ?
Very bad memory management. I wanted Greenify.
is there a full fledged forum for this tv? like how xda has for phones?

Check this out.. It's very active.
Even more active is the FB page called iffalcon fan club.
OP - the link you have shared for K2A says the build number is 364. I strongly believe it is Nougat and not Oreo. The Oreo OTA being released for K2A has version number 511!

The latest version (which we are getting as OTA) is 511. As of now, only v509 (it is still Oreo, just one version older) manual update package is available right now. As per reports on other forums, this firmware is pretty good and stable

Now that the G Pro has an official A12 release, does anyone know of any roms being actively developed and where to find info on them? I was kinda thinking of finally biting the bullet and trying my hand at building one myself, since I really like the G Stylus and will probably hold onto it for awhile.
From my experience, the overall best/most stable rom is almost always the official firmwares released by manufacturer.
You can flash the moto g pro android 12 firmware to the moto g stylus if you unlock the bootloader.
Nowadays custom roms are not as popular as in the past. The only reasons for going custom roms are that you hate the official rom or you must have a special feature that is only available on custom roms, or the manufacturer stops updating the device.
You lose many features with custom roms: worse camera quality, no moto gestures, and no FM radio.
I still welcome more developers building custom roms because we can have more options when the manufacturer stops supporting our device.

You will get a .bat file with all flash commands. Use flashdile.xml if you want data wipe or use service.xml if you want to keep your data when upgrading.
Then you copy the flash commands .bat file and the extracted firmware into the adb platform tools folder, and run the .bat file when you boot the phone into bootloader and connect to computer.
This couldn't possibly work on the Moto G Stylus 2020 which is 4G LTE only. This is for the 2021 or 2022 5G version.

Lol.
If you know nothing, don't give wrong information or draw wrong conclusion.
The flashing instructions/guide work for most if not all moto phones and users just need to download the corresponding/correct firmware for specific devices.
Seems straightforward.
I'd like to get to the bottom of this.
I personally, have only been met with failure when trying to follow the instructions on their site.
Has anybody successfully used any of the instructions on the getdroidtips site?
I'm suspecting that they just have templates for instructions that they duplicate for every model/device on the market whether or not they apply to that model.
If this is the case, could XDA automatically put a warning on links to getdroidtips to not trust the advice?

Hey all,
I have just bought an audi that comes with the android tablets for the kids in the back seat. They are running android 4.4.2 and no OTA updates are available to it. Due to its old OS, im having problems getting things like bluetooth controllers and even the play store to work correctly (intermittent downloads stuck on pending forever / stalling).
I have seen other tablets of the same variety running android 7 but cannot find the software anywhere on the internet to update to the custom build for these head units.
Can anyone help me figure out how to make this tablet a little more usable in 2023?
Thanks
Request the matching Android 7+ from OEM.
I have emailed the maker of the device, JET OPTO via their website but they havn't responded.
Does anyone know if rooting and custom rom would work on this - retaining its function with hdmi in etc?
I was thinking, another way around it is to use a ?firestick and miracast a phone?
Android 4.4.2 easily get rooted via so-called one-click-tools, i.e.

Hi
Same here. I cant find any info about update. There are some info that ppl have android 7 but no info how to do it. On audiworld someone did it by audi service. Ive made couple phones to service and no1 could tell me how tu update. Ive read somewher that rooting RSE III is very risky, it can freeze, then y can do nothing. In service the told me that they can change my old RSE to newer (silver one) cost is big. I dony want to risk that in couple years problem with update will be thisome. I think best way is to buy normal tablets andro or ios.
I can confirm taht you can update to oem audi android 7, already did it.
Hi, do you have the audi oem look files to update it?
I'm looking for the Android 7 update files for an RSEIII currently running on 4.4.2 as well.
Any news on this? I'm also looking for the update.
