I wanted to update from android 6 to 12 but no luck because i couldn't get the adb to work.
And understood that it was because of my rom version 23.5.
So I desided to downgrade to 23.0.A .
No problem with using flashtool, it installed the rom, I think. But now it is stuck in bootloop, and it says the process android.process acore and contacts has stopped.
And no I haven't made a backup, because I didn't think that it would work before I got the old rom.
I've tryed installing the room twice and I can still get in contact with the phone through flashtool.
Emma says the phone is locked?
I tryed once more, and wiped app and user configurations. And now it works again

Heya
I have the exact same phone as you with ROM Toolbox Pro and Superuser as well, and I've run into the same problem after trying to customize some icons and system fonts.
I'd be very much interested in knowing how you and if you got your phone working again.
I'm currently downloading FlashTool in the hopes that I can use that to flash it back to a stock Android 2.3.
Bootloader locked, can't flash ROM
As the title said, apparently my bootloader is locked so I can't use the flashtool to flash the ROM.
I can't unlock my bootloader in any way I've been able to discover on here as I can't boot past the Sony Ericsonn logo text screen.
Does anybody know if there even is a way past this? Will paid professionals be able to fix it? Or am I stuck with a permanently bricked phone here?
Maybe one of my family's contacts working for the service provider will have an idea of what to do.
Everything went so well until I tried to change some icons and fonts, then everything just went downhill.
Thank you very much in advance.
I know this has been asked a lot, but i literally tried everything.
i have a sony xperia s, no SD card. rooted on jelly bean firmware 6.2.B.0.211 using Doomlord root kit, after playing with some tweaks, i rebooted the phone so they will take effect, the phone is now stuck in a boot loop... TRIED EVERYTHING, deleted the cache, system, data, tried the sony update, flashtools, installing custom ROM or flashing the same one. the problem is, when i'm trying to put the phone in flashmode or fastboot mode, the sony logo appears after 5 seconds, showing "device disconnected" on flashtools. thus i can't ( i think) use it. i really dont know what to do here, i've been looking all over the internet for anything to do...tried everything i have read, but to no use. can anyone PLEASE help me.
Cant connect via usb fastboot then very less hope...
Contact sony costumer care....

Hi,
I'm facing similar problem - what steps did you took to fix it?
Guys! I need help i flashed the Indian Generic FTF and then after these pop up messages keep appearing
"Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped"
"Unfortunately, the process android.process.media has stopped"
im trying to repair it via pc companion but it's not detected. Please help!! :crying:
Reflash again using flash tool or go into setting on the phone and try a reset. If you still have the same issue use a different firmware version and make sure it is for the right model eg D6603
hi, thanks for the reply! i already solved it, finally. was getting really worried. i tried resetting the phone and somehow it solved the problem, hopefully. i was going to try repairing through pc companion since it already detected the phone after i restarted the computer.
Yup, i flashed the stock firmware( version .93) for the right model (i have the D6653 btw).
One question though. i have a notification update for the new firmware( version .77) on my pc companion, if i repair my phone, would it automatically update or just repair my current firmware?? TIA

hi friends,
i have an unlock bootloader bootloop device and last night i tried :
- flashing ftf with flashtool, but no luck (the flash option is greyed out). tried another version of flashtoll, but again, no luck.
- relocking bootloader with flashtool, use xperia compnion software recovery, but the progress bar is stuck for about 6 hours or so. i unplugged it, then tried to boot, then it boot normally with stock MM rom.
before bootlooping my device, i tried unlocking bootloader and tried one or two custom rom,.
i need to make sure if my device is fixed. is there anyway to check it?
really need your help, please advise.
thanks before.
