Hello everyone
Please help me
I have a Moto g Sylus 5g
I was following this tutorial https://www.getdroidtips.com/lineage-os-19-moto-g-stylus-5g/
to download a custom room for my Motorola device and then after I finished the installation of the room when I was on TWRP screen I've pressed recovery and then my phone went black screen nothing works..
But it didn't work. Now my phone is bricked. It's powered off and I can't turn it on again
It doesn't respond to anything
Pressing Powerbutton - Nothing
Pressing Power + Volume Up/Down - Nothing
Hold Volume down and connect to PC - Nothing
Connect to the Adapter for charging - only showing the Led light
ADB doesn't recognize the phone
Flashtool responds "Device disconnected"
So I can't flash back stock ROM
Please help me out. What went wrong? How can I fix it? Is it repairable or is my phone hard bricked?
Thank you for your answers
Hello friend, honestly I am new to this. In fact I'm looking for how to unlock my moto g stylus 5g xt2131-1 from metropcs to use it with a mobile operator in Colombia. But given your problem, and everything I've researched recently, I would say you could check this video:
in which revive a moto g8+, although it is a different version, it should work if you do the steps as indicated.

Yep my phone did the same thing. There is some glitch with TWRP for this phone that hard bricks the device. There are several posts here with the same issue. I tried what this video suggestion with every combination of contacts on the board. I bought an EDL cable as well and nothing would bring it back to life. I cannot recommend TWRP for this phone at this time.

I have an LG Stylo from MetroPCS. I have first I rooted, then twrp, following the Katana custom rom. Exposed came pre-installed. I attempted to install it. Next came the time to reboot the phone via exposed. Unfortunately I have oem locked, forgetting to leaving it unlocked. When I clicked reboot, the phone turned off but never turned rebooted past the LG screen again. All it will do now is keep flashing something like a secure booting error. There are numbers on the top left side of the screen flashing. I tried using the hard keys but it didn't help. What I did was when I turned the phone on I held the power and volume down buttons and when I saw the LG screen, I quickly let go and held them in again. This got me to the phone asking me if I want a factory reset. Normally by choosing yes, the phone boots into twrp but in my case the phone went back to the flashing numbers LG screen. I tried connecting the phone to a computer but when I plugged the phone into the USB it wouldn't show in my computer, even when I installed LG drivers. If I cannot fix this phone, I will have to pay a lot of money. Can someone please let me know whether this phone can really be fixed?

You are going to have to get phone in download mode and use the LG flash tool to flash it back to factory. Look here for guidance, but be aware this is for a boost model.
Thank you very much for your help. I'm just scared that the phone won't respond to another computer but I'll try. But I have another issue. My LG is one that has the buttons on the bottom. The only way that I know of trying to get the phone into recovery mode is to do it like I described before. But my phone will not go into my twrp.
Hello guys, well while i was trying to upgrade my moto G3 to marshmallow using a factory recovery image, i messed up with some lines of the commands but i didnt noticed it until when i did the "adb reboot" and there was not turning back.
The phone didn´t restarted properly and also i can´t access the download mode neither the recovery mode, i already tried holding the power and volume down keys for a while but nothing. when i do so i can only hear that windows recognizes that a device it's connected and also that is has been disconnectd when i keep pressing.
Screen won't power up for any reason, and also no charging indicator showing up.
¿Any suggestions? Thanks a lot for you help!
I have heard of a one_click_unbrick file which could unbrick your device..although i hv never used it and i have no idea that it will work or not but if you want to try, it requies java on your pc then you can google for this file and instructions to use it..if you do use it do tell me whether it worked or not...and before you try anything ,be sure that you hav really bricked your device. Hope this helps
Sent from my MotoG3
AFAIK there is no unbrick tool for our G3rd yet, so don't mess with tools made for previous generations of Moto G. You better get it to RMA if you have warranty
Hi guys. So I have been going through xda and Google for hours and hours trying solutions, to no avail. I almost never post on forums for help because I can usually find the solution. Not this time. This is my last resort next to throwing my phone out a window or praying for death's sweet release.
The facts: I have a rooted Xperia Z3v. I tried to upgrade TWRP in order to follow some directions on upgrading to Nougat. I flashed TWRP from 2.8.X.X to 3.X.X.X. I rebooted and it never made it to the Sony logo. Now, if I plug the phone in to either a wall socket or PC it vibrates, endlessly at three second intervals, each time with red LED. If I try to enter flash mode, then its the same but with a brief green led after the red. I can enter fastboot (the only way to stop it vibrating while plugged in) and my PC sees it, including Flashtool, but since my bootloader is locked permanently, I can't really do much with it.
When plugged into the wall-charger, I noticed that the charger's LED changes from "Active" to "Inactive" with every vibration. I'm pretty sure I'm in a reboot loop. The screen is totally dead and there's no logo, but every three seconds it kills it self and comes back.
I have tried everything I could think of.
What I have:
I have the stock firmware ready to go
I have TWRP backups on SD card and PC
I have Flashtool
I think my drivers are good, but not 100% sure
I can fastboot
I'm at my wit's end and losing hope.
Please, I'm open to any suggestions at all.
There is a chance to save your phone 50% this trick might work for your phone sort of .
First i need some answers
1.If you go to flash mode the phone vibrates right is it detectable by your pc at that time.
2.did you Try hard reset not by the vol button press but the very sophisticated button under the sim tray.
3.https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development/nougat-7-1-1-android-source-project-t3532346
try this I know this is not for your phone but you will be able to actually boot your phone or atleast take a rest for what the heck is going on with your phone
4.If none of the solutions work disscuss with me i am happy to help
Same thing here. Flashed wrong ROM via TWRP.
As a result, immediate loop (repetitive vibration, led blinking red) when connected via USB. No recovery access. Only fastboot access (blue led).
Locked bootloader.
Flashtool:
- tried flashing kernel.sin extracted from a stock ftf - no good (locked bootloader, unlocking requires flashboot which is not accessible).
- tried flashing system.sin extracted from a stock ftf - no good, flashtool says
INFO - Flashing selected system
and immediately after that
INFO - Please check the log before rebooting into system
So it clearly doesn't do anything. Any other approaches to try?

I bought an M4 Aqua to keep me going for now as they're cheap. The E2306 is unrootable with 6.0.1 and I don't want to downgrade to Loli so no possibility to butt**** this one. If s300pmu1 and you figure it out, I'll do the same to mine.

I didnt get your comment brief it to me
I was attempting to downgrade my moto g stylus 2021 from android 11 to 10. Something when wrong during my flash attempt and now I am stuck with a rapid bootloop where a motorolo logo will briefly flash on the screen and then go to back.
I can't seem to get back to fastboot although if I hold the down volume and power button the logo stops flashing and I just get a black screen.
Is there any possible path out of this I can try or did I hard brick my phone?
im having same thing downgrade issue i plug cord in just blink light no fastboot or recovery either.
So if you find a way let me know and ill do the same.

Same boat as you two. Used "fastboot set_active b" after flashing stock firmware and ignored the bootloader warning. Now im stuck hardbricked with no success blankflashing. Including info for EDL Mode and log from one of my blankflash attempts as well as the correct firehose programmer for this device.

Seems to be a few of us in the same situation. I downloaded Motorola's program for, supposedly, diagnosing and fixing their phones. I'm hesitant to use it because the only place I have Windows is a VM and I've found that the connection between the phone and the computer can get a little sketchy on reboots because the USB forwarding.

I have had no luck whatsoever. Originally I thought I was successful using a blankflash although it was not. I've pretty much given up on that device for now although if you have anything that may help, I have no problem being the guinea pig, lol.

Hey guys, I recently rooted my stylus 5g and went to install TWRP. I was able to get it to boot to TWRP, but I believe within TWRP I did the flash wrong as now my device is hard bricked. I cannot get it to show the initial logo, get to the bootloader or I think even EDL. I've tried the Lenovo recovery tool and the Moto all-in-one tool, but essentially all I get now is a black screen.
Any input on what I can do to either diagnose and possibly recover my device? I have the original firmware downloaded, but without being able to get to the bootloader, recovery, or even EDL, I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. I did grab a blankflash for the device, but I'm not clear on how to begin to use that to move forward.
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

Did you ever figure this out? Mine is also hard bricked at the moment. I've been trying to get it to the 9008 mode so I can blankflash but I've had no luck. I see on some phones there is a pair of pins on the board that need to be shorted but I'm not sure which ones. I just bought an edl cable on amazon which should be here tomorrow, hopefully that will get it in the correct mode.

No luck. Only change with the EDL cable is that if I plug the phone in via the cable with the battery unplugged it was a pretty rapid blink vs before it would blink every 10 seconds or so if I held the power button while plugged in to power. The button on the EDL cable had no effect. I then tried to short out every combination of pads on the board similar to the video above. No luck, it just seems to be completely toast. All I did from TWRP is format data and reboot to fastboot. Dead since then.
Is there any more information on this subject?

Here is the pcb picture. Not sure if the number 2 has any significant meaning but someone told me it was one of those points with one by the battery connector. Anyone have any info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

thank god i saw this, i was getting ready to flash TWRP even just unlocked my bootloader and everything, not taking this chance! i honestly got so many phones to root, unlock the bootloader, flash new roms, but litterly all of them have at least one problem.. (my devices range from lg to motorola, zte, htc, samsung...) i had a moto g play, but i tried to flash TWRP from magisk, and looked like it was stuck in boot loop, then used motorola tool, and fried it.. litterly didnt show any sign of life after, (I dont thing it was motorlas tool, i think it had something to do with me trying to flash TWRP, anyway, the screen looks like an explosion! had more fun hitting it with a rubber mallet than getting frusterated, and maybe fixing it...
