[Project Spectrum] will come to OPPO F1

Surfing the web I stumbled upon this post saying that oppo f1 will receive Project Spectrum in future. You can check this official forum link...

Those who dont know what Project Spectrum is:
"Project Spectrum," the ROM is a departure from Oppo's own ColorOS, featuring nearly stock Android with a few useful ColorOS features thrown in. Here's what Oppo says it opted to include, along with a few caveats for the initial version of the ROM:
Screen-off Gestures: Currently there are two supported screen-off gesture, double tap to wake up the phone and draw a circle to open the camera app.
ColorOS Camera: Currently the ColorOS camera is supporting the following plugins: Beautify, Filters, HDR, GIF, Double exposure and Expert Mode, for others we will continue working and try add them in the near future.
MaxxAudio: The MaxxAudio is supported and turned on by default.
Other than those three items, the ROM is mostly stock Android as you'd expect it to be.

It will be great to have this in OPPO F1.

that will be good because there is a few memory management issues with the ColorOS causing such things as drops in app notifications.

Oppo strongly advises against it, so I wouldn't.

The other catch is they are completely different devices.

I just flash this spectrum ROM 6.0 and even in beta I find it good except for battery life compared to stock ROM ... Hope it could be optimised in the release version

Guys. after I flash spectrum v1.0i Beta. I couldn't install any of recoveries. CWM,TWRP and even the stock Oppof1.
Now all I want is to back my phone to normal. I hope anybody here helps me. Please kinda reply if you have any ideas or things to help me, I would deeply appreciate it.

Switch back to ColorOS with the package and procedure provided by OPPO. Then try the original procedure you used.

No, not yet and i doubt that there will be scene because huawei is locking the possibility to unlock bootloader

Sorry to be annoying but do you know if any flashes of twrp and magisk for p20 cuz my current twrp keeps encrypting and I can't find a magisk that works, all the in error 1

I have the GSI Lineage running on my P20, with the caveat that i have to run V3. V4 gets stuck on the lineage logo. Haven't tried the honor view version yet.

Would you recommend switching to LineageOS/AOSP? Why (not)?
Anything you miss in particular? Is the camera quality bearable?

There's a quite buggy port made by phhusson, but ported from Mate 9 so pretty useless..
The camera quality is actually bad. It is the main reason I'm not switching to LOS.
The notch is not supported at all, some texts and icons are hiding behind it.
No FP sensor too.
I've got no issues for booting Treble roms with EMUI 8.1, but some are getting issues with 8.0
I opened this on phhusson's github, you can take a quick look.

I like clean and uncluttered. So i buy my phones with unlocking and custom romming in mind, as i have a choice of software at that time. It's a personal preference.
That said, i find something that is closer to AOSP, always recommended. I'm sure there are people that don't agree. Tastes differ and i like to have freedom and own my device. I paid for it, so i can do with it what i want.
I don't miss anything, i don't have high quality standards for camera and such on a phone. There is specific equipment for specialized tasks.
It is good enough to send the odd photo or video on my messaging app.

Did you try the phhusson's GSI LineageOS version or LuK1337's Unofficial LineageOS? Is there any difference between them?

If I had a spare phone, I would have tried these treble roms on my device, but P20 is my main daily driver. But, I (and we all) would love to have a fully working LineageOS for P20. I am watching this space closely.

On the build and seems like everything is working fine and on the Indian vendor even the widevine l1 certification is also working..
No dialer app is set as default but u can manually set it

Could you provide a list of known bugs please?

Seems stable so far for my usage. Battery is solid but at times, there are minute UI delays while opening Apps.

No probs ! If this rom includes pixel goodies than you might consider adding the Google dialer and sms apps.

1. Should be the same as in other custom roms.
2. No. Custom roms never have Miui Camera.

1. Depends upon your usage. I primarily use Social Apps, Watching Videos, Calls with no gaming and the rom is pretty stable for my use. Some people have reported BT Audio issues though. Battery is outstanding so far but can’t say how would it flair with gaming.
2. MIUI Camera is only limited to stock roms so far. You could use the ANX Camera which is the next closest to stock MIUI cam. I use Gcam with modified config and it is more than enough for my needs.

Thanks for the revert. My usage is similar and i have absolutely no gaming appetite. However bluetooth is important for me and i have a limitation to not root my phone (and magisk). I have my office emails on it and it would not proceed the safetynet. MIUI currently is not supported by airwatch and i cant get my office emails registration on it. GCam is good for me too.
Would you be able to confirm if bluetooth works please?

bluetooth worked for me. safetynet without magisk will not work. it sees an unlocked bootloader. need to patch the kernel, but most likely I will not do this.

Yea bro same, more than 2.5 years and still i get SOT of 6-7 hours.
Whenever i think of buying a new phone, i look at my p2 and i stop. Its still so smooth cuz of the ROMS and charges under 1 hour and 15 minutes.
This phone is the best purchase i ever had. So i want development to keep going on, atleast for 1 more iteration of Android. Then i'll maybe buy Redmi K20 pro next year cuz it'll also have good development in future.
@Erazor84 that's good news brother. But I'll wait for AOSP xtended Android-10 (if it ever comes)
Bcuz i used their Oreo build and now using pie, and i found them the best among all of'em.

My guess would be at least 2 more ROMs :fingers-crossed: one from @VladSor and second from @Fullbustah as they are consistent with porting/ developing the ROMs such as Havoc, Syberia, Bootleggers and POSP for P2.
But of course, we need a reliable vendor upgrade first.

Xiaomi redmi note 4 which has the same Specs has just got lineage 17.

Generic System Image (GSI) is pure untouched Android released by Google for treble enabled phones with a designated vendor partition.
Semi GSI (SGSI) is a customized GSI with features and name of a custom ROM and it can also be installed on treble enabled phones with a designated vendor partition.

The following url https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p2/development/rom-aosip-derpfest-t3981193 will give You access on this forum to the thread concerning AOSiP-10-DerpFest-Alpha-kuntao-20191009.zip which is the first alpha version of the first Android 10 custom rom dedicated to the Lenovo P2.
If You are interested in testing this Android 10 rom, just follow the installation instructions given on the first page of the thread.
If I well understood, I think that someone, maybe mikeioannina ?, should now be working on a Android 10 rom LineageOS 17. If this is the case, all we can do is to be patient.
You will note that from now on we must say Android 10 instead of Q as asked by Google. So, next year, the next version of Android will be Android 11 and not R.

Below is the lineageos github page for Kuntao (Lenovo P2a42), the branch is on 17.0, but it seems it hadn't been developed on in 4 months, but i don't know how these things go...

Hello I've tried all of the versions on my KUNTAO, at the beggining very laggy now better, there are some ROMS which you can use w/out a problem if you can live w/out some of the features like the FP GESTURES OR AA CONNECTIVITY.
HAVOC 3.0 (NOT THE TREBLE VERSION) to me is the best option till this post furthermore I don't know.

So, We are half a year further from the last post in this thread, any news on the stability and performance of the android 10 rom's? Im right now on Crdroid Pie ROM and except fingerprint kicking the bucket everything is working flawlessly. Any stable and well performing 10 rom's out there, or should we wait a little longer?

Why not try it yourself and find out which one suit you better? Or at least read the thread for the feedback from another users

I read, I read. I need it to go as fast as possible in games and keep it stiff at 120Hz like a KOSP but it has google and I wanted a vanilla version. They end up remotely and I have to sit in front of the books and I don't have time to install various mods so I created this topic. If they extended remote lessons, I could search for Custom Roms

Then i recommend CrDroid 8 i use it as daily120Hz, good performance and battery

Hi. I have already reinstalled over 8 roms but there is nowhere the same function as KOSP. My point is that, for example, when I watch the yt vanced 4K movie, it drops to screen 60fps and on kosp you can block it so that it works all the time at 120 and this is mega great, only that this system has disadvantages that I find it hard to accept (blockage of installing modded applications, large amount of bootloop after installing mods via magisk (os lineage does not exist)). That is why I have a warm request. To find a system that:
1. It will block rigidly 120hz on yt how it has KOSP
2. Lack of google services (KOSP has them and I really don't want them).

And someone knows how to find the module for the magisk module that blocks the screen refreshing rigidly (120hz). I tried the Magisk Hide method with Poco X3 NFC but it also doesn't work

I found another ROM this ROM is a beast on PUBG KOMODO OS this thing is on another level
Android 12 everything works and hide magisk safety net works! Perfection

For me the addon's I tried on kosp ROM didn't work and they scored low benchmarks and awful gaming...the only thing i got from them is more heat

Derpfest is the fastest, but battery backup not so good. i mean of course if you need performance you have to let battery do his job. you will notice that LineageOS has best battery because its not only focused on performance. but focused on all to maintain the stability
