Android 12 and Facebook logins - General Questions and Answers

So on my Huawei Phone running a version of Android 10? and on my previous phone running Android 7, in facebook when I log in, it asks me if I want to remember the account. I have several different facebook accounts that I use for a game, and once I have logged into the account once on the device, it allows me to simply select the account from a list the next time around and then automatically logs me in.
On my new Samsung S8 tablet running Android 11, I can't get this to work. The accounts are remembered, but I have to enter the password each time.
Is there a way to fix this, or have they changed something in Android II that fundamentally stops this from working?
Annoyingly, Facebook Lite has its own "switch account" option which is brilliant, but the game I'm playing only checks the full Facebook app and the browser to determine which account to connect to.

[Q] Facebook Contact Sync

Now that I'm running a 2.2 blur-less ROM (RubiX), I'm using the actual Facebook App again instead of the Blur social networking. However, when I open the Facebook app, I don't get the option to sync contacts anymore. My Droid 1 running the same exact facebook app does, so I'm guessing it's some sort of build.prop check that it does on whether to hide the sync or not.
Is there any build.prop solution to get this to re-appear?
Here's what I did.
First I removed any Facebook account from contacts.
Then, uninstalled the native Android Facebook app.
Next, created the account again for facebook contact sync (the one that comes with the DX).
Waited 30 minutes for all pix/contacts to sync.
Re-installed native facebook app.
My guess is that you'll still have a few issues but give that a try and see what happens.

[Q] Stock Email App not working with Exchange Server Corporate Email

Dear all,
After several weeks of exchanging e-mails with IT department and in-depth search over Web, I turn to experts here. I have Galaxy Note 10.1 Stock ROM with Android 4.1. installed, without any after market SW customization.
I am trying to sync my corporate Exchange email account (Exchange version 2010) but after complete procedure adding new account, the stock email app from Samsung is stacked on sync screen syncing without any progress. From web sites and forums, this is common trouble with not only this device, but I've tried endless possibilities to solve this problem. From factory reset with clean device, without any other accounts, with Mobile data sync on and off, Security levels with encryption, pin, password, screen pattern, without any security, with many 3rd party EAS Android apps, but on the end, I am stuck with non working sync. If I try with wrong password, there is message for error with credentials, so there is somehow the connection between device and server, but without working sync and any email coming to my Samsung Note.
On the other hand, the part from my company's IT settings, everything should be OK, since I am using my smartphone LG Optimus 2x with Android v 4.0 and stock email app. It works without any problems from beginning with same settings from my side and at Exchange Server Side. During my testing, no security settings, levels or any other settings had been changed.
From analysis in past weeks there is one possible solution. On my working LG phone, stock email app is added to Device administrators list after I add my Exchange account and on the end of procedure there is also a well known pop-up asking me for permissions for remote wipe for different kind of data. When I add my Exchange account to my Samsung Note, there is no sight of this pop-up for allowing remote wipe and also after this procedure, Samsung note's stock email app is not added to Android device administrator's list (Settings-security-device administrator). And I cannot find any way to manually add this app to device admin list.
So, from this description, do anyone have some clue what to do?
can't help you with the stock mail client, but I found that one lacking lots of features anyway, plus I didnt want to hand over complete control of my devices to some admin anyway. So I can only recommend Touchdown, costs money but worth every cent (or penny )

[Q] Skype 5.0 does not sign out

I was having some trouble with Skype so I did some test today.
Logged in with:
- account A on my macbook, desktop client version 6.19 (452)
- account B on my nexus 5, mobile client version 5.0.0.51733
> Everything works fine, calls and messages.
I sign out from the Nexus 5 (the "Sign in automatically" option is NOT checked), I still see account B online on the macbook. I try to call it, it does not work of course, I sign in again on the Nexus 5 and I see the missed call.
I suspect some issues with Skype mobile (both Android an iOS) with Sign out and maybe the fact that on mobile operating system there is some sort of "auto-hibernation".
That would explain why sometimes I call people who seem to be online and the call fail. No issues with the desktop client, only people with a smartphone or a tablet.
The only workaround I found in the meantime is to set my status to Invisible on the Nexus 5.
I would happily uninstall this application, but it's hard to migrate the whole family...
Do you experience the same issue? Any idea how to solve this?
Hello. You can use these two commands to check what devices you are currently logged in on Skype:
/showplaces - shows you what devices are currently "online" on your account
/remotelogout - logs you out from all devices except the one you post this command from
Just type them in any chatbox inside skype. Don't worry, they are visible just to you.

Android apps "talking" to each other

I've had Instagram installed on my Android phone (Nexus 6P) for quite some time now. I decided to download Facebook's standalone Messenger and when I went to log in, it knew that I had my Instagram account and suggested that I log in with my Instagram account. How can prevent apps from being able to read each other like this?

Avoid or disable facebook "app" sign in

Hi guys,
I couldn't find this anywhere but if i missed it sorry for that.
You know how some games or apps uses facebook account to sign in if you want to link it? Now If I have the example game installed, when I click to facebook sign in, a popup window shows allowing me to enter facebook mail and password. Which is fine. I would really like to keep it like this, but if I install a real facebook app, and use the same game, instead of popup window, game opens real facebook app. Now question is, is there a way how I can force a game to still use a popup log in, rather than facebook app without me having to delete real facebook app. Else, to force a game to use Facebook Lite app for signing in rather than main facebook app. Am I making any sense?
To explain why I need this, is becasue I have multiple facebook accounts. And on my main account I have disabled gaming platform fully. For games, I have another account and I have loged that one on Facebook Lite app, because my model doesn't support multiple facebook apps. Facebook app itself does supports multiple accounts, but that is kinda wierd as If i switch the facebook account in game, it switches in app as well, and when I return my main acc in app, game switches as well. I don't want to be switcing accounts all the time, as it's not convenient. Other reason is if i have single account registered only in my main facebook app, it doesn't offer me an option to login with another account or logout tempoary of current without saving that account in the app. It always forces game to use that single account which is loged in on facebook app.
Thank you all brainers out there who don't mind speding time to be looking into this.
Cheers to all!
