This MIGHT have something to do with the lighting, if the scene is lit by a color adjustable LED and the color is being done by pulse width modulation of individual Red, Green, Blue LEDs, and the exposure times for the night mode that combines multiple exposures are a multiple of the pulse widths, you might get an effect where one or more of the colors is masked out. Not sure though.

Thanks but it looks like that since I tried every other combination of lightning and apps like expert raw this did not happen,it only happens in stock camera default night mode on so could be what you said and yes it's an led night bulb that's green in colour, attached is image I took outside with default nightmode on ultrawide and it has no distortion

So i was thinking to take a hdr picture you need to capture 2 pictures one over exposed and one under.
well because when you use an app made for HDR they have a little gap between each picture where the exposure adjusts .
So with our phone having 2 cameras would it not be possible to capture both exposed images at exactly the same time so then the picture will not blur? for example the left camera takes the high exposure and the right takes the low exposure then blends them together the same way other hdr apps do it.?
just an idea. cos its hard to capture hdr images on objects that move like cars/animals.

The Alignment will be off 3D Cameras are spaced far from each other the resulting image lacks symmetry for the above method to work perfectly you would need to realign them in photoshop or a similar app which defeats the purpose of doing it furthermore you will be capped @ 3mp
Symmetrical IMAGE

Hi I have two att G3s here and both have terrible color accuracy on the FFC. Is this a known issue and is there a fix? See pics below ...

Anyone? Color is all over the place in the second pic. Blue up top, pinkish in the middle. Is this just how it is?

I took a front and back picture of my door and got a similar result. However, it be the way the light enters the sensor. I haven't noticed it previously but with the door pic, I see a little bit. Not as drastic as your shots though.
Thanks. My wife sent me some selfies of her and our son and they were terrible. I thought maybe it was weird lighting but all pics from the FFC on both phones are the same. Especially noticeable is the coldness up top which almost makes skin tones look grey at times.
At least the rear cam is amazing. I'm surprised this FFC issue isn't talked about.

Natural lighting through closed blinds from behind the shot. Top is FFC, Bottom is Rear.
Gave up on trying to get the exact same angle.
Interesting. The effect is not as strong on yours but your rear camera appears to have it as well.

Just noticed something. With the RFC pic I posted, on photobucket, it doesn't have the same color balance as it does through Windows Photo Viewer. I placed the Windows Photo Viewer pic right over the top of it (to make sure it was the exact same area on my monitor) and the colors are slightly different. So Photobucket itself seems to change the color balance of the photo. Making the pics I posted inaccurate...
After dropping my phone (wasn't the first time nor the last, unfortunately..) the red color from my notification light is missing; green and blue (and all combinations of those two) work perfectly, but when trying any combination with red, it just shows various green/blue colors or nothing at all, when trying fully red (#FF0000).
Tried looking up some replacement parts for this but as this is a very old phone, I guess I'm out of luck?
Do any of you guys who have taken this thing apart know where and how the led is located? The replacement LCD screen and digitizers both look like it's without the LED; maybe if I buy the front cover itself (which I've been unable to find as well but this should exist somewhere?)
Thanks for any replies..

I'm wondering whether using high contrast black setting in accessibility option saves battery from draining? In case of oled displaye i'm sure it does. Not sure about qhd display in G7. What are your thoughts?
I'm a fan of black background (past windows phone user) and that accessibility option is spot on. Pics attached

well according to bunch of stuffs i read about how lcd screen works, some certain color doesn't ensure battery saving, unlike oleds (black color = turn off the pixel; it doesn't work that way with lcd screens, AFAIK)
i once read from a tech web (not sure which one, anandtech if i'm not mistaken) that G7's screen is the most energy efficient in brightness above 35%
It seems like the macro ability of this phone is not that great. I'm noticing that my Note 8 was able to get closer and take clearer shots. Is there some magic setting that needs to be set to get macros shots working correctly, or is it another case of it is what it is?
All lens has a fixed minimum focal range. That limitation is physical and by design.

I understand this. I just wasn't sure if there was something that I needed to set to get macro mode to work or if it is automatic.

Try the longest lens, and try adding a slight amount of digital image enlargement around 20% if no dedicated setting is present.
In the camera Photo mode, approach the object within an inch or two. At this distance, a "2x" will appear at the bottom left of the view image. See attached image. Touch the 2x and as instructed, back away a little until the instruction vanishes and the image is in sharp focus then take the picture. Note that this is not an extreme macro. The attached image is burred because it was captured before backing away.
