High Contrast black display setting : Will it conserve battery? - LG G7 ThinQ Themes, Apps, and Mods

I'm wondering whether using high contrast black setting in accessibility option saves battery from draining? In case of oled displaye i'm sure it does. Not sure about qhd display in G7. What are your thoughts?
I'm a fan of black background (past windows phone user) and that accessibility option is spot on. Pics attached

well according to bunch of stuffs i read about how lcd screen works, some certain color doesn't ensure battery saving, unlike oleds (black color = turn off the pixel; it doesn't work that way with lcd screens, AFAIK)
i once read from a tech web (not sure which one, anandtech if i'm not mistaken) that G7's screen is the most energy efficient in brightness above 35%

first of all I am sorry about that picture
secondly the link is down
thirdly I dont think this would affect battery by any mean it may slow the cpu or gpu a little bit but wont affect dramaticlly as the screen will still be 1080 pixels hungry for power
cheers,

Update link and have some update version on this app.
this app can help more battery safe on G3 with coming with 4k resulotion. and help a bit 10-15% on my wife's M8.
After set new resolution try to re-boot phone with disable both option "apple default before power off" and "Re-apply setting after power on" ,then it will get small icon and screen on M8.
Now have the update version for improve setting

How much screen bleeding is normal?

Hello,
I bought the RN6P recently and noticed there were some reports about a backlight bleeding issue like on the Poco F1 on the internet. But I also saw other people mention, that a certain amount of bleeding is normal, since the screen is being lit from the side.
So I took a picture and I want you opinions on this. The 'bleeding' appears on the chin (maybe 1 - 2 mm; you can see it fading away towards the corners of the screen) and on the top (not really visible on the picture) of the phone, is this a normal ammount or should I try to return it?
From the Xiaomi Forums (better pic quality):

Mine:
well usually there are some bleed mostly around notch as you must have read it, but I am not sure if this yellow ting on the down side is real or just present on this photo - however if it is seen in real this yellow-ish like, it is quite not normal, as it is not close to the screen end, but is rather centered .. I would try to return/replace the piece at the reseller, if possible.

That yellowish stuff are just the apps on the screen. I was reffering to the chin, where it's the most obvious. It's not as bad as with the Poco F1, but it still catches my eye time to time.

Display size

Does anybody know where i can find the Display size option? i want to make it smaller but i only found the font size.
Like this one in xiaomi devices.

If you're referring to DPI, it's located in Settings\More Settings\Developer options look for Drawing and Minimum Width within Drawing section. You enter your numbers in there. Just remember the phone screen DPI is 388. Never experimented with it but give it a try and let us know. Don't know if the screen with default to an acceptable number if you go overboard with your numbers.

Thanks. thats exactly what i wanted. My default was 360 on Nex S global and i went to 403 and everything seems to be working. The stock camera beauty icon position is abit off but everything is working. No app crashes.
Now i can see more stuff on screen with everything smaller
also im not sure if its a placebo effect but my fingerpring is working better now or maybe im getting the hang of it.
Good to know you can go higher. I'll give it try and see if I get the finger scanner placebo effect too.

Power-saving feature | How to completely disable?

Having a very annoying issue with my 5 II where it does not show the correct time on the ambient display. It can be over an hour or two behind sometimes, specially at night, but sometimes during the day as well. I figured might have something to do with a battery saving option somewhere so I went through the settings and turned everything possible off.
In the Battery usage setting page both Screen and Ambient Display are on top naturally and both have "Power-saving feature" Applied. When I tap on it to change it loads a long list of apps, most of which also have the feature applied. However, there is no Screen and there's no Ambien Display in either list where I could change the setting to Excepted instead of Applied. So I went one by one and disabled the feature on all the apps in the list, but unfortunately Screen and Ambient Display still show that the feature is applied.
Where can I change this setting? How do I disable Power-Saving feature completely? Am I even looking at the right things to solve this issue?
Thank you

To solve the ambient display notifications + clock lag, please try this:
Settings - Display - Lock screen preferences - Ambient display - When to show Ambient display - select "Smart activation"
This is something that happens on many phones, including Google Pixel 2 XL.
This setting prevents deep-sleep for ambient display.
