I'm out of the loop in regards to much going on with phones these days. I recently bought an Iphone 4s but it will not be here until this week coming up, my service ends w/ Straight Talk tomorrow and I JUST found out that they no longer carry AT&T sim cards. I cannot and will not buy a T-Mobile branded sim.
Here's what I need to know:
I want to keep my number but as of right now do I have any options to purchase another prepaid sim to keep it? I can't go to Walmart and pick up any sims being that the 4s needs a micro and I thought about cutting my current one that fits my 3Gs but I don't have a cutter.
I'm thinking of just going back to Red Pocket even though they are slightly more expensive but they are potential drama like Straight Talk (I called ST and they said they have micro sims but I'm not wasting $15 dollars to find if the T-Mo sim is indeed micro.
Bottom line is I've had my number for quite a while and want to keep it BUT I need to make the switch to a micro sim and ST is acting funny, suggestions?
Wow 45 views and no help... whoever can just delete this thread, thanks for nothing.

Hi. I'm with tmo and have the gs6 64gb. Got the free upgrade to 64gb. I need to lower my bill. I'm trying to save so I can move out of my parents.
I am wanting as cheap as possible. I don't use the phone but I text and rarely use data. The phone is emergency pretty much but have talked on it couple times. Have to use WiFi calling right now.
I'd like a dumb phone with touch screen qwerty keyboard. Is this possible? I hate t9 or whatever. But then I don't mind going to a low end smart phone I guess. I tried virgin with the s3 and $35 plan but sprint don't cover my home.
I'd like to be able to buy from best buy since I have a best buy card and I don't use cash.
Anyway I just would like to know what to do for lowering my bill. I pay about $77 monthly right now and would love to go to $60 or less. Total.
Thanks.
Hi,
Ask in this thread for more relevant answers: Best Way to Reduce My Cell Bill?
Good luck
My girlfriend has a Galaxy S8+ which she was using on her dad's family plan with T-Mobile. We had put a lot of money into getting this phone up front, Infact almost paid off. I dont know all the details, but her dad couldn't pay the bill on the account and closed it. We tried seeing if we could pay for the remaining balance on the phone in order to have it sim unlocked but they required the whole account balance to be paid off first, which was way more than it was worth. They wouldn't even take the phone back to lesson some of what was owed. They also said that even if we got it sim unlocked it would eventually get black listed if the balance never gets paid. Her dad wanted us to send him the phone so he could sell it to get some of the money back that he thought he paid (But really it was us) but we didnt want someone to end up with a phone they couldn't use.
My question is, is there a way to get around the black listing if it ever occurs? If so can you point me in the right direction? I am familiar with using exploits if they're available.
I am hoping that some can help me decide between buying a new LG g6, or a used LG v30.
The upside of a new g6 is that I won't have any problems with a new device so that's the inherent upside.
The upside of the lgv30 is the massive 128GB storage, faster cpu, better camera, bettery battery.
The downside of getting a used one is it can have screen burn in, potentially a pretty degraded battery, and other unforseen problems, and it costs more a little bit more. The seller gives it a 9/10 and 30 day refund though. People have said it is really a sprint variant named: ls 998 that has been converted to a us 998, is that fine for carriers like T-Mobile and Att? Will I be able to root it?
Here is g6
No link allowed but it's $140 T-Mobile variant factory unlocked
Here is lt v30 (I'm assuming it's the v30+?)
No link allowed, but it's $160 factory unlocked.
OK So Im a bit conflicted on what to do here. My dad reworked the Verizon plan and now I have an unlimited data plan on My Alias 2. As much as I want to mess with people by showing off the web enabled featres of my flip phone, I basically need a Smart Phone to get the most out of the data plan.
Now, I have a Razer Phone 2, which I believe WILL run on their network, but I've been using it (And a Nexus 4 before it) in a manner akin to the what the ipod touch devices used to function as. I did not intend to use it with Data, and it works great to that end.
Now, I am tempted to just save the 2-300 bucks on a new smart phone and just stick the sim card into my razer 2, but then I couldn't keep it in my pocket because the cell radiation does something to my nerves. I've already got a permanent numb spot where my dumb phone used to sit in my pocket, so phones always go into a backpack away from my skin now.
So, the Motorola z3 is on sale for another day. I can get the $170 32 GB model with the free controller mod, or the $260 64GB with a free battery pack AND controller mod. My Razer has 64+400GB, and game storage, so I think I can settle on the cheaper option there since the Razer will take up those other functions anyway.
Or is there another phone in that range that would be a good data access phone to consider? I think the Moto mod options suit my interests better, but maybe a One Plus would be better. I also would be interested in the Fairphone 3, but its expensive and not out in the states yet or maybe not ever.
