Please Help - Phone Stuck On Bootloop even after factory reset flash with Odin - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

Hello XDA,
I have a Samsung S10e - (SM-G970W) from Rogers Canada.
Just this past weekend as I was using it, it just froze. None of the buttons worked. I pressed on the Power Key until the phone restarted. However it just loads to the "SAMSUNG Galaxy S10e - Secured by Knox Powered by Andriod" screen and keeps bootlooping every 10 seconds back to the same screen.
I've tried to get into recovery mode (holding Volume UP, Bixby and then Power) but it takes me to a screen which says Watchdog Reset (CPU Hang) with no options for cache wipe or factory reset.
I've also downloaded Odin and the latest firmware version for this phone with Rogers and did a successful firmware flash using Download Mode (Volume Down + Bixby), however after the flash it just goes back into the same bootloop. I've tried flashing multiple times with both the Home_CSC and the other CSC file but both gave the same results.
What else can I do to try and recover this phone?
TIA

The latest firmware may be a problem. You have to use exactly the correct firmware that you had when you put the other OS in it.
It is also possible that you installed the wrong OS. I have the official LineageOS 19.1 which is only for SM-G970F/DS and you have SM-G970W.

How to do a factory reset after a failed OTA

Hey hey,
I received and tried to install an OTA for my GS7 this morning, but unfortunately it failed (stuck for several hours at 76%).
Now when I restart, the phone stays on the GS7 logo, that's about it. I cannot switch it off (not even when keeping the power button down for >1min), but can force restart (vol down + power) and enter download mode (vol down + home + power). The most annoying part is that I cannot enter the recovery mode (vol up + home + power as far as I know) after a forced restart. I tried to let the battery die, and use the same combo before plugging in the phone, but didn't help.
Any clue without me going to a samsung repair shop (which are closed this weekend).
For info, was running stock M on my Canadian GS7 (Rogers).
Thanks in advance for any tip!

Use the Kies 3 software from samsung. As long as you have your S/N and Model # and can boot into download mode you can get reset and on the newest firmware within 20 minutes
Thanks for info!
So I tried that, but the phone still stays on the Samsung logo after the upload..
Explain in detail your procedure
Sure thing:
- enter download mode on the phone by using volume down + home + power. I have to keep them all at the same time to force the reboot and enter the mode (actually restarts twice most of the times before it works). Once the screen is there, accept using volume up.
- Installed latest Smart Switch, verified it's latest.
- connect phone (nothing detected here, even when outside of download mode)
- went to 'emergency software recovery and initialization'
- again, device doesn't get listed here (even when outside of download mode)
- select device initialization, entered model name and S/N
- started the intialization procedure, which downloaded successfully and updated the phone successfully (so it reads). Phone did show progress bar during the update.
- phone rebooted by itself, and back to square one, on a stuck GS7 logo.
Do you have samsung usb drivers installed?
I tried on PC earlier today, yup, drivers were installed. Also tried the Smart Switch 'reinstall drivers'. Before this issue, I was able to connect to the phone properly (same USB port etc)
Now on Mac and fresh install, did the Smart Switch 'reinstall drivers' (after two tests of re-initializaton). Didn't change a thing.
Hmm Def strange. I have had many s7 bricks..hard and soft. Aswell as bootloops but I have always been able to fall back on smartswitch. I suggest you to try kies 3 and if that doesnt work..find stock firmware on sammobile and flash using odin. ( risk of ruining you device involve when using odin. )
Thanks for the tips, will try that!

Samsung Galaxy S4 bootloop

Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 I9500 and I'm using GEAR CM13
The ROM was working fine until a while ago, but now suddenly there's a bootloop. Last thing I remember doing was accidentally holding the power button a bit long (while trying to lock the phone) so the power off/reboot menu came up and and then I tried to exit from it, but the menu didn't go away and the phone entered into a boot loop
Now, the Samsung i9500 logo just keeps flashing every 5 seconds. I'm unable to enter into recovery mode. I can enter download mode but it just exits out of that after 5 seconds and starts flashing i9500 logo again. I read about a hack to remove battery as soon as I enter download mode and it worked. It stays on download mode now. ODIN recognizes the device. What can I do using ODIN to fix the bootloop? Is there any ODIN flashable zip? I'm on the latest [20160711] build. I have important data in my device. Please help me recover it
I know I can reflash stock ROM and from there, reflash GearCM13 but I do not want to lose data as much as possible. I'm trying for fixes which do not wipe my data partition. I will go ahead with the standard method if I do not find a fix to recover from bootloop without losing data.

HELP! "Recovery Booting...." not working

Product Name: SM-G930A (Galaxy S7)
Carrier: AT&T
I am unable to get into recovery mode to wipe the cache and do a factory reset.
By pressing the key combination (Home + VolUp + Power), I am able to trigger the message "Recovery Boot....", however right after that instead of going into Recovery Mode it immediately restarts back to the splash screen and loops.
(Buttons do not appear to be stuck)
I can get into download mode. I have tried using Odin to reflash the rom using the rom I used before. However, this doesn't change the experience I described above. I have let the phone die out completely and powered on to the same experience. I am unable to remove the battery on the Galaxy S7. The phone is rooted. I did have on Xprivacy and Xposed. I was also working with SetCPU and other apps to improve the speed the night before. I was under the impression though that I can always wipe the whole thing clean and start again.
Please help me out of this loop.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Bootloop, Accidental Wipe System With TWRP and CAN'T access recovery mode/download mode.

Pretty sure I can't do anything at this point, but just wanted to give it one last try. My problem was after I flashed TWRP I went into TWRP recovery mode and did a factory reset. I booted into system and it was just loading with the phrase "starting android" so i decided to go into recovery mode and wipe everything (i know i'm an idiot). It's my first time doing this so yea... but moving on I thought that would solve the problem but now I have a bootloop because i had also wiped system and basically i'm ****ed. I tried going into recovery mode and download mode again but i couldn't because of the bootloop. Tried combinations like volume up + power button, volume up + volume down + power button, volume down + power button. When it's in bootloop it shows "samsung galaxy s10" logo (not the "samsung" logo) and then a warning saying i have the bootloader unlocked and then another "samsung galaxy s10" logo with the warning/sign saying "The phone is not running Samsung's official software. You may have problems with features or security. and you won't be able to install software updates.". Model: SM-G973F CSC: SIN ||| NOTE: I AM NOT AN EXPERT WITH ANY OF THIS STUFF SO IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS PLEASE COMMENT, IM LITERALLY IN NEED OF ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS T_T.
nvm, i accidentally got into download mode and followed a yt vid online and it worked.

Stuck after failed attempt flash newer TWRP recovery (P3110)

Device: P3110
ROM: cm-13.0-20160517-1900-UNOFFICIAL-espressowifi (Android 6.0.1)
I know this is an old thread but I have seem some recent activity and I need some help!
I have been using TWRP 2.8.7.0 successfully many times. I noticed a newer version on https://dl.twrp.me/p3110/twrp-3.0.2-0-p3110.img.html. I flashed 3.0.2-0 with odin and got a flash error. Now I am stuck at boot with with "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.". I tried to re-flash the current recovery while the Download screen was still active but the connection dropped and odin could not see the device. I killed odin, restarted a new odin session and nothing. I also tried reconnecting the USB cable and even tried different ports and different versions of odin. Noting. The device is no longer seen by my PC - obviously including adb, Odin or Kies. I have tried to power off the device and boot to both Download Mode and Recovery. The device continues to reboot every time to the same message as above. I can't get it to power off completely even after holding the power button alone many times and also trying vol-up and vol-down. There are slightly different amounts of time that it take to reset the screen while holding the power button, some shorter and some longer.
- Tried releasing the power button during both the shorter and longer reboot cycles. Same result.
- Held the power button down for over a minute and longer. Same result. It just rebooted to the above message.
If I can get to download mode I think I can re-flash the original recovery with odin and then restore a recent backup with TWRP, if necessary. I can usually figure these things out but I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Systematically unplug the device when pushing buttons to select the boot mode
