Hi guys, my friend got a new Xiaomi 12X and while trying to flash a global rom he bricked the phone into fastboot mode only.
We can't flash a new rom through MiFlash because it says that the device is locked. We can't boot into the system anymore to do the unlock process. No access to recovery mode, FASTBOOT ONLY.
How can we proceed? I know that there's probably some way to do this without unlocking, china sellers from AliExpress and stores like that do this every day to change from china to global ROMs.

You're looking for the fastboot rom, specifically, available on the offical website and on one of these forums. That's the one you can push from fastboot on your PC
the other methods won't work while its stuck in fastboot

you need patched firehose for the Poco F3. so go in that forum and search for "firehose"

just to make sure no one getting the trouble i had. if you bought Xiaomi devices (not sure its the devices after Redmi 4a or every devices with miui 9.5) with the bootloader already unlocked by the seller or the distributor, make sure youre registering or linked your account to the device. because when whenever youre trying to install global fastboot ROMs with the lock option selected, the device will stuck at recovery with red notification at the bottom saying "the MIUI version cant be installed on this device". the thing is after youre installing fastboot ROMs and locking bootloader of your device, you cant install global fastboot ROMs no more and left with chinese fastboot ROMs or using TWRP. since youre locking your bootloader and if your mi account is not bound to your device, you cant unlock bootloader with the official unlocking tool (it will spit out error "current account is not bound to this device") and yes youre stuck with chinese fastboot rom. you can still bind your account after youre installing the chinese fastboot ROM and unlock your bootloader, but you still cant flash the global fastboot ROMs.
so heres my story for everyone who is experiencing the same issue
i bought my whyred with the bootloader unlocked from the seller/distributor (its a normal thing here, maybe) and i have no issue what so ever in first month i bought it. im changing ROMs with every custom ROMs i found until im bored and decided to installed global fastboot ROM then locking my bootloader. so im stuck on recovery with red notification at the bottom saying "the MIUI version cant be installed on this device" after i flashed my whyred with global fastboot ROM. i thought i was installed the wrong miui ROM, but no. since i locked my bootloader and i havent bind my mi account to the device yet i cannot install custom recovery and installed fastboot ROM no more. so i left with EDL mode then. i tried to enter EDL Mode with button combinations (since miui 9.5 this was disabled, cmiiw), deep flash cable (not working anymore), adb (well i flashed device and stuck, so i cant do adb), fastboot (nope, its locked) and i left with test point methode and this is the only working methode for you with the same situation.
so i flashed ten or so global fastboot ROMs i can find from different sources just in case i have a bad day. but nope, none was working. so i flashed chinese ROM and worked, i immediately tried to unlocked my bootloader but i now faced with 240 wating time. well i guest im stuck with chinese ROM for the next 10 days. the XDA and MIUI forum said that you should be able to flash global ROMs (not sure if this includes fastboot ROMs) again after unlocking your bootloader.

My one plus is stuck in Qualcomm crash dump mode, It won't boot into recovery mode, but id does boot fastboot mode, I cant use adb to flash it because my bootloader is locked, adb cant recognize my device. I have tried QDL mode to use Guac msm download tool but it does no good, Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong?
Your best bet is to read up on the msm tread. A lot of answers can be found there.
With a locked BL , I can only suggest msm tool. Personally never got it to work myself but I unlocked my BL as soon as I got my phone so I used fastboot ROM to fix it. Best of luck
Hey! there was a custom firmware, I decided to close the bootloader, I registered the lock command.
and got a system destroy error and nothing is being flashed, fastboot is available.
Unlock does not give through the program in any way.

I'm helping my brother, he just ordered a new 11e pro China version preload with global rom and locked the bootloader and now it won't boot.
so far we've tried
1. reload Chinese rom from fastboot. error can't do that because it's locked
2. enter EDL mode with homemade cable. can't get it into EDL mode
3. mi flasher pro recovery flash. error md5 fail on all the Chinese ROMs I've tried and rom not allowed on global (i expect global not to work).
i think that recovery should work if i get a Chinese rom to load, then i can set the unlock setting so that i can unlock and reinstall global.
does anyone know where to get the recovery rom direct from xiaomi?
or
is it possible to set the unlock allow from recovery?

Unlock from recovery probanly not, but there is Mi unlocker, find out how that worls
then there is another app called Mi Firmware on windows or something

So, i recently flashed arrow os 12.1 on my poco x4 pro (veux) using twrp. Flashing the rom removed twrp and now i cant flash it back because fastboot says that my bootloader is locked...
Of course, it isn't and the problem is that allow oem unlocking isn't on... I really would appreciate some help because i've been stuck on this rom for a day.

In the first place, flashing the rom shouldn't relock your bootloader. Can you please reboot to fastboot mode and use mi unlock tool with the same account you used to unlock bootloader first time.

Thank you for your response. Sadly i already tried that and the tool says that the phone is unlocked.
I'm trying to reflash stock rom via EDL mode, but i always get some error.
By the way, when using fastboot getvar command, it says that my bootloader is locked.

Sadly, the rom's recovery managed to overwrite twrp and when i tried to flash twrp back, i could not flash it because fastboot said my bootloader wasn't unlocked. When i tried to unlock the phone again the xiaomi tool said that the bootloader was already unlocked. So, i used the getvar command which said that my bootloader was locked. So, i remembered that i didnt turn on allow oem unlocking in developer options. Sadly, when i looked for it the setting wasn't there. I tried using Edl mode to go back to stock but with no success. I always get some failed to read hello packet error. Can someone give me any help? Im kinda getting desperate...

Go to service centre if it is critical. I have never seen such case so i couldn't help. I am afraid that you would have to pay the service centre people money for reflashing your device.
Also have you tried flashing fastboot ROM (MIUI) through fastboot? Also try to flash stock recovery rom via the recovery you have now currently.
Another thing you could try is using the Xiaomi official flashing utility (which is not unlock tool) to flash stock rom which does not require OEM unlock.
