Is there any way anyone has been able to unlock more bands that the US T-Mobile network uses? I'm curious to know if I should get this phone and if it will work

Hi, I bought a xiaomi redmi note from china and I didn't realise that I'd bought the chinese TD-SCDMA version, the UK network frequency works on WCDMA. The seller gave me a full refund but didnt take the phones back so I'm trying to see if this can work or else iI'm just going to sell them.
Now the network does work but can only got up to 2G.
I've heard that the MediTek hardware supports both TD-SCDMA and WCDMA however the WCDMA may have been locked.
Is there any way of unlocking it?
Hi, I am in the same boat too... please share if you find out.
Thanks
Neat Rom in Redmi note
Is it possible to use Neatrom in Redmi Note?
I have the same problem but with Lenovo A808t. This is not compatible with 3G & LTE bands in Spain but, I think, It has the same modem that Lenovo A806.
Can I open that bands?
I have a few questions about this model:
Anyone know if there is a Global ROM in the works or can I put the normal Mi Mix 3 Global Rom on this model?
Anyone know what settings I need to set to allow this phone on to ATT's LTE network? I attempt to use the APN ATT Nextgenphone but it will not connect to that one. I have to use the Att Phone which it will connect but still it will not let me get anything above 3G speeds.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
LTE/Carrier
Before I purchased this phone, I checked all the sites for compatibility and what bands/frequencies AT&T uses for their LTE/4G networks. All of the sites stated that the Forbidden City model has all the bands needed to work with the carrier. Does anyone know how to get the phone to work with the LTE bands or what carrier in the USA will the phone work with the best?
Any help would be much appreciated!

it's got best all around LTE band coverage for AT&T in my area. Verizon isn't bad, just expensive. T-Mobile supports all the bands in my area but the quality sucks in my opinion. Sprint is obviously garbage especially for unlocked international phones.
Can someone tell me what xiaomi fully works on metropcs 5g network knowing that T mobile don't use same band poco m3 pro 5G works on Tmobile but in metropcs only works on 2G band thanks
Between T-mobile and AT&T, which of the two is more suitable for the US ROG Phone 5s?

Is the phone a USA version?
If its indeed the USA version, You will have similar service on both ATT and TMobile but you will be missing band 14 on ATT which might effect your service. Also, you are unlikely to have much 5G coverage if that matters to you as this phone only has 3 of 5 ATT 5G bands and 2 of 4 TMobile 5G bands. The missing 5G bands are of the mmWave veriety so the only 5G you can get is 5G Nationwide which might actually be slower than 4G/LTE depending on the area.
I purchased an ROG Phone 5s that was suppose to be the US Variant but its the chinese variant. I cannot return it or anything anymore so I am stuck with it. Is there any way to change the firmware to the US version for 5g and WIFI? I am using it on ATNT and I only get 4g
Bands are based on the hardware. There is only a 1% chance that it has the bands and they are disabled.
This is the fundamental problem with Asus releasing 50 variants on the same phone in a world where not everyone is honest and / or informed. This is also why most eBay listings say something like "check your carrier for 5G support." Some don't know what they have and others don't want you to know.
