Hello all,
I lived in Germany for a while and bought a S22 Ultra (CSC code EUX).
I moved back to South Africa and Samsung Pay is not working "Samsung Pay isn't available on your phone".
My plan is to change my CSC to South Africa by flashing the device, but the problem is I cannot find the South African firmware (CSC code) for my Model Number.
Model number is SM-S908B/DS.
I can only see South African CSC Firmware (XFA or XFE) for model number SM-S908E.
If I use this firmware, will I brick the phone?

Yes you will brick your phone because 908B is exynos and 908E is snapdragon but i see people change csc from 908B EUX for Countries there as call recording....

SD Native call recording & CSC (without rooting)
Hi everyone, Looking for some insight and more educated projections. I'm in Canada, and our phones (SD) typically didn't get native call recording (or any recording allowed as a matter of fact after Pie was rolled out). I had to purchase a...

hi. post your question here please you will find all the help you need
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/sd-native-call-recording-csc-without-rooting.4404139/
You can use SamFW tool to change CSC to XFA/XFE, as it's available in S908B firmware. However, you wont't receive any OTA updates due to South African devices being S908E. You need to flash via Odin every updates of S908B (CSC and data will be kept). You can't flash S908E firmware, it's not compatible.

The reason for this is initially, Samsung intended to use Exynos (B model) for more regions (including SA), but then decided to switch to Snapdragon. Hence the presence of SA CSC in Exynos firmwares, and future OTA updates not being released for S908B XFA/XFE.
However, manually flashing each full update (around 8 to 9GB) each month is probably bad for device's flash memory. So I recommend selling your device and buy a South African S908E.

Hey guys and gals!
I made a horrible mistake I ordered the Note 20 Ultra on trading-shenzhen since I really wanted that snapdragon CPU. (I'm from Europe)
Now it seems that the blame is on me... because I realize that I can't download any apps with the pre-installed Google Play app.
So my one and only Idea now would be to install an international ROM BUT for the model SM-N9860 I can only find national ROMs/ from within the region of china.
Am I out of options here? ... Sammobile tells me that the newest German Firmware needs the Model SM-N986B
From my research it should be possible to change between regions.
My current plan is to go from my firmware (N9860ZCU1BTK3) to this: N986BXXU1ATGI
While following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/i-successfully-changed-the-csc-of-my-sm-n986b-ds-exynos.4163629/
Thank you for your time and answer!
With kind regards
Chris
Try the HK ROM. I have the n9860 and it has everything. You got the best international device.

Also: Since it's the same region... I dont need to worry about knox, right? Stock firmware from the same region wont trigger it? And what about OTA Updates? I think when I just go ahead and flash the HL rom by using:
BL
AP
CS
CSC HOME TO SAVE DATE
... OTA updates will stop in future right?
Sorry for those questions...in past I never cared about those 2 but this timeI kinda do ^^
I'm using a Hong Kong N9860 TGY in the UK. Mostly everything works as one would hope, except...
Samsung Pay is no good (needs a Hong Kong bank card), but Google Pay is fine.
5G only works on some networks, but not all.
Firmware updates are running a bit behind. Despite an update in December the phone only has November security updates so far.
But that seems about it.

dang! okay so I will wait for the reply of ekerbuddyeker ... hoping that he needed to flash it
seems I simply wasnt lucky to get this ROM from start
BUT I start getting the feeling that I overcomplicate things in this case.
Before I always used CFW + Root on my phones when I used odin. I never simply flashed another Stock ROM... And it seems when you flash a Stock ROM from the same region your phone is currently in:
1. you wont trigger knox
2. you will keep the OTA updates
since Stock ROMs don't break those?

Do you need to flash a new ROM at all, or simply change CSC?
Oh, and I don't think it would be wise to flash a US ROM onto a Chinese model, especially for use in Europe/Germany.

To be honest... even if I rooted my phones years ago... I never heared about CSC before that guide I saw today. I'm not so sure if it would work for this as well.
Cause in the guide it seems to be critical to not connect to the internet after the ROM is flashed / fresh installed.
and I guess since the Playstore is somehow totally messed up on my device flashing the HK rom kinda feels "cleaner"?
My only concern right now besides OTA and Knox would be that everything is in chinese once I flashed the ROM haha

Just flash the latest full TGY ROM Bro. But use the other CSC not "HOME CSC". Factory reset is required in this case as your phone will change ROM and CSC.
You can download full TGY ROM fast using FRIJA

Hello,
I purchased my galaxy watch 4 from Amazon US, and when I wanted to install esim from local carrier in Israel I was told that the phone is not supported (they asked my IMEI and Eid and tried to register the watch on their side). I looked up and I can see that the band support in the US differs from the one in Israel- you can see the screenshots I made from the Samsung US site and the Samsung IL site.
Is there a way to modify the watch region in order for it to work under IL LTE bands? or does Samsung manufacture unique hardware for each region?
Thanx in advance

Just remember as stated, you can not go back if you change your csc. So be very careful in what you choose because I will not be responsible just giving you a suggestion . I have NOT tried this....
I finally got to this task today, and when I try to reach the CSC change scree by dialing, from the watch, *#272*IMEI number# I get UNKNOWN APPLICATION message in my phone. Any ideas how to reach the CSC screen?
I have limited time...

You have US device with US CSC inside...
You can maximum change between:
ATT XAA VZN ...
ATT like ATT USA
XAA like US
VZN like Verizon USA...
You can find with ADB Tool available CSC inside your Firmware...
Only as tiny hint.

I hope you can see this:
R875USQU1DUJC/R875UOYM1DUJC/R875USQU1DUJC
OYM is the "Region code"... means US only.
This is BIG difference between BT only devices... as for example SM-R870 have 1 package with ALL CSC inside...
With your LTE device you have only few CSC inside this OYM package... maybe 5 or 6...
SM-R860 has 70 + CSC...
International device for Germany with CSC DBT looks like this:

R875FXXU1DUJA/R875FOXA1DUJA/R875FXXU1DUJA

I bought this s21+ G996B Exynos from a local shop.
Since I bought this phone I don't remember that there was a single update available for it.

Can any one tell which country CSC is this in screenshots. I can't seem to identify it.

Should I change CSC ? Will that enable updates for me. Is there a a process for S21+

Rule #1 if the firmware is fast, stable and fulfilling its mission... let it be.
Upgrades can and do break things.
There are many reported issues with 12.
Security simply isn't a major issue with Android 9 and up.
You can always update latter if you want or need to...

Those CSC that you show are really strange , I could not find out what WWD is from and XAA ( least important one) is from USA??
What would I do? ....change your active CSC (WWD) , if you are not rooted , try this first , if that do not work you will have to pay for the service (SamKey) , change your active CSC to Pakistan (PAK) for example , or any other country you choose ang get regular updates

Which region is better considering
1. I have an samsung active 2 watch and I would like to use its BP and ECG features. On watch I had changed the CSC to korean and features are available on it but not on the mobile at the moment.

Hi
Which region is better? i guess everyone has an opinion , myself any of the multi csc OXM
Regarding your questions
1 no idea
2 if a saw correctly you have a G-996B , it should work fine , BTU is a good choice
3 Yes it should , watch out , when you change the CSC you will factory reset the phone
If you use the dialer method , the CSC of choice has to be present in the rom installed in the phone , I can see you have an OXM so it should , if not , then you should flash an OXM first and the change to the desire CSC
With Samkey they recommend to flash the correct rom after changing the CSC
Backup before you do anything

Flashing firmware does no longer change CSC. If the dailer codes don't work you have to use paid Samkey service. I did and it works perfectly fine. Changed from TNL (T-Mobile branded) to VDF (Vodafone branded) and have full VoLTE/WiFi/Other carrier apps functionality including OTA updates now through Vodafone.

Hey everyone!
Recently I purchased Samsung Galaxy S10e in Ukraine. I noticed that the latest software update was on May 1, 2021. It is not updated automatically after the phone setup. When I check for new updates on settings it doesn't suggest any more recent versions. So I decided to update my phone to the latest firmware. But I couldn't find non-carrier firmware for Ukraine https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s10e/firmware/#SM-G970F. It only has Ukraine (Kyivstar) which is not what I use.
Could anyone suggest what firmware I should use and where to get it from? Attaching my current versions

I tried to install it, but after starting the process in Odin I got a "secure check fail: (pit)" on my phone and Odin stopped the process. Could that be the low battery level (e.g lower than 40%)?
One of the reasons I found over the internet is that the issue may be due to corrupted firmware
Compare your checksum with that on the download page.
It may be that your phone is refurbished and there is no possibility to update the firmware because it has been blocked.
Sorry, how can I compare the checksum? Where do I get my checksum and the one to compare with?
BTW, when I reload in "download mode" I see the field - carrier_id: LUC. Can this actually mean something and impact the version of firmware I need to pick up?
put file in https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/hash_my_files.html and compare with ea8f33e9f51265730f235ce56afc9e74 from https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G970F/SEK/G970FXXUFHVG4
Download phone info 3.8.5 and check if there is anything suspicious in the phone's description.
I installed phone info app and it says that my phone is a refurbished one. Also, it says that Knox Warranty Void status has been tripped. @ze7zez so this can be the reason I can't install other firmware, correct?
Here are some screenshot I have from the "phone info" app
LUC is korean CSC for G970N
so your device is not original but a mixed from G970N with a part of G970F

You won't update this phone, but it's okay to live with as long as you don't use confidential channels on the internet, e.g. bank, social media, etc.

Yeah, that's the problem. I need the functionality of banking apps, google pay, etc. Non-functioning google pay was actually the main reason I decided to install the firmware. Having that, unfortunately, I will have to talk to the seller and try to return it back.
Anyway, I wouldn't figure that out without you guys @ze7zez @yakapa40. Thank you so much for the help!
@yakapa40 sorry one more question: how did you figure out that my phone is a refurbished mix from G970N with a part of G970F? What exact facts point to that?
BTW, when I reload in "download mode" I see the field - carrier_id: LUC
LUC is a part of G970N and not G970F with a different pit file
as your device is rooted maybe some part of firmware have been changed or renamed
Hello. I bought an s22 ultra SM-S908E/DS in Dubai/UAE but I have now moved to India permanently. The phone lacks the CALL RECORDING feature. I hear also Samsung Pay India does not work. Not sure if there are any other issues. Please can someone guide me on how to change.
I tried an earlier post for an older phone - go recovery, factory reset, reboot with indian sim card - but this does NOT work. I've tried it twice now.
Is there another option available ? Can I download the latest India firmware from from the site below and upgrade the firmware using Odin ? Any specific settings or process to be considered ? It will also be useful to know if there is someone on this forum who has successfully migrated - and got the call recording enabled etc.
Download Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra SM-S908E INS India firmware
All Samsung firmwares for Galaxy S22 Ultra in India with model code SM-S908E. We offer free and fast download options. Check them out now.
www.sammobile.com
I will be very grateful for your assistance.
PS. Another post I read asked if the phone has 'test mode'. What is test mode ? Is this the test mode you get by typing *#0*# in the call option ? It does have it..
UAE and India both sharing OXM group so it doesn't make any difference by flashing firmware as both are same.
Using Indian SIM should be fine, if not, just factory reset with keeping Indian SIM installed should work, it's weirdo it doesn't work
Kindly post screenshot of setting - about phone - software info

Meanwhile, I called Samsung Care India ( Kerala ) and tried to ask if they can assist - and and they will not upgrade/change the firmware it seems - which I find quite strange.
Will try the firmware and advise update asap. I sincerely hope it is successful. The phone is still under warranty.... so very keen to know if someone has already successfully upgraded this.
PS. Also, I hear that the code *#*#27262826#*#* was used with earlier Android versions to get the CSC codes included in your phone. Is there something similar which displays for the s22 ultra running

Are you sure you have Indian SIM installed? Info doesn't showing Indian SIM
If still issue you can change CCS with this tool
Thanks for this info. Yes. Indian sim installed. Infact, did a reset both a BSNL sim and also with a Vi ( Vodafone-Idea ) sim - and yet - I don't have these.
So - please can you provide more detail on what needs to be done with this tool ? am I looking to change CSC only ? or FRP ? Please provide some detailed info if available - thanks.
As an update.. and for the benefit of others.
Samsung s22 ultra SM-S908E purchased in UAE ( XSG ).
Downloaded latest INS firmware files from sammobile. Used all files AP/BL/CP. Used CSC ( not home-csc). did not use the repartition option. Firmware went thru - however software remained as XSG.
Retried firmware with the repartition option - but Odin failed.
Thereafter, used the SamFw FRP Tool 3.31 and changed CSC to INS - which successfully changed for ins/ins,ins/xsg/xsg ( not sure if this is normal ).
But now, call recording function is now enabled. and no issues with Indian sim. I hope OTA updates will continue.
Will be keen to hear any further concerns or suggestions.

Yes - OTA updates are working. I have received atleast one since I upgraded. No other changes I can find as yet - except that the software shows a dual INS/INS,INS/XSG/XSG on my phone and I wonder what that means
Hi @imustbehuman,
I am also thinking of buying the dubai unit, want to know if 5G and Spay is working for you after csc change.
Also, for how much did you buy and from where.
Bought on Amazon. I believe Samsung pay works but I have not used it. Adding accounts etc definitely works fine. 5G works fine in Dubai but I have not tested in India ( as yet ) since my sim operator Vodafone does not have 5G in this area as yet. But if it works in one place - then it should work fine elsewhere as well.

You only need to change CSC to INS , no need for indian firmware, since it is a part of OXM software group

If I remember well - I read the same thing earlier but it did not work for me. And I had to go through all the steps I mentioned.

Sure you are doing something Wrong , It've been tested 100 times over this forum including myself , no need to flash a complete INS firmware as long as your device is with OXM firmware
