ASUS TABLET P00I (CGH017984) frp unlocking help - General Questions and Answers

i got a nice ASUS TABLET P00I (CGH017984) from ebay and as you guessed it it is locked with the frp. i tred all i know and even some you tubes and so far nothing works. so is there a chance someone here has a way to unlock one of these. or i will need to send it back to the seller. along with some neg feedback. they said when i asked them if it was unlocked and they said it was networked unlocked and it was usable, well they lied i guess. it even came with a sim and that number was in it, i called that number and it rang busy. my guess is because it is not activated so google sent the busy signal. i asked the seller to see if they could get the last username and password. the device comes up with the phone and then wants the last user's name first and last and i do not know what is will ask for after that.
i know they make these hard to bypass so people will not just steal them for a fast buck. i got this from a pawnshop seller so maybe the owner needed some fast money or a crook did. anyway now it is my issue if can figure out how to fix it or maybe i can send it back. i would like to keep it but if i can't get it to go back it goes.
thanks, for any ideas or help

enter fastboot mode and confirm model ZT500KL then find firehose programmer and erase FRP partition from EDL mode

mine will not show the arrow or the clock when i get to the point of going to yourtube. mine wants to updated youtube and when trying to update you tube i have to have the account setup because it want me to enter my user name and password. and i do not have them. so that procedure will not work for me. i spent hours yesterday looing for a way around that and could not fine it. i even found that asus frp program in the rar format and could not find any unzipping program to open the rar and then try to get thet into the tablet. i connected the table to may win10 pc

sorry but I won't explain anything about EDL mode if you're not even able to unpack rar file

ok not a problem it is going back thanks for the help.

i tried to open the asus rar file and 7 zip failed WinRAR failed WinZip failed. it needs some type of password to get into the program to unpack it and i can't seem to find the password so that is why i just quit. if you know the password that might help. providing that file with manage to get into the table without me being able to get past the user name and password section. thanks

read the site where you got download from

i did i have used all of those unpacking programs. i did not see on that asus site where they had the password posted. but i will go back and see if i can find it
ok i think i got the tool open turns out htey have different passwords anyway i ahve a window open on the s4tri0 team site and i have 3 options fastboot tool the edl tool and the asus mtk tool so now to figure out how to use them. in the fastboot tool i see quite a few options but i do not quite know yet what one to pick? i think these are the models but i do not see the p001 model and i do not know yet how to find one of these models if mine is one of these.
i think i need the last photo that show the p001 z170mg button. but then how would i get the tablet and the pc to talk to each other? i had the tablet plugged into the laptop usb port and it did not show up in the files section.

ok if i click in the fastboot tool page it comes up and says waiting for devide. so if i connect the tablet and click on the wrong tab in that page will that mess with the device \? in the next page the edl page i click on the a001 button and it comes up and says comport erro quailcome not found. on the last page nothing shows it open a new tab and then sayd not there.
so if i boot the tablet to the fastboot and have the tablet connected to the pc and then click on one of the first-page fastboot tools will that tool try to unlock the tablet? and if i pick the wrong button that button will not brick the tablet will it? so if that button i pick is not correct nothing should happen?
i click all those buttons and not of them did come up and tell me the info you posted for this p001 tablet. thanks

please power off device, hold volume down + power + plug in usb cable computer to enter fastboot mode.
when tablet connected in fastboot mode, install android_winusb.inf and select Android Bootloader Interface driver.
once drivers installed, download fastboot.exe and type the following command in cmd.exe (from within platform-tools directory)
Code:
fastboot devices
if it shows serialno you are connected in fastboot mode. you can now get some device info to figure out it's mediatek or qualcomm.
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
fastboot getvar all

i did that i powered it down held vol down and power and the back page came up i have these options in the fast boot menu i arrow down to the reboot fast boot with the tablet plugged into the pc and it it comes bact to this same page.
then i went to the asus page in that tool and clicked on the a001 button and it tells me itis waiting for device.
so i tried the usb debug mode and it came up to the log in page and i can't log in because is want the last users info

it just is not connecting to the pc. i changed cables and now the pc beeps when i plug in the tablet but it does not show in the folder on the left like the phone does. and it fails to connect when plugged into the pc in the fastboot menu and the frp tool will not see it either.

yes, that fastboot options menu actually is fastboot mode. proceed with installing drivers from windows device manager.

ok when i let it just bootup i see p001 in the folder section but in fastboot i do not see it. when i see p001 in the folders i can't copy anything into the p001 folder. so i'm at a loss i guess. i asked that frp site if they have a file for the ZT500KL tablet so now i have to wait and see if they do. they answer in that sites question section and i did send them an email so they may reply back in my email as well.
outside of that do you know in the attschment i sent that show the fastboot page what else i may try? thanks

kindly read post #14 again. you're not reading carefully

ok i thnk i got it by using that youtube. i can turn it off and back on and it comes back. i'm kind of scared to do a reset because it may go back the other owner. what do you think? thanks

dead bootloader what to do next

I've got a dead bootloader. My device doesn't upgrade thru SD and not with USB. can somebody please help me because i realy don't know what to do. My device is dead for almost 3 weeks now
[edit]
Even my backup on SD doesn't load. And this happend after i downgrade the radio version of the well know greek rom
[/edit]
nobody?
Is there a solution to flash only the bootloader?
I think you need to add some more info, if anyone should have a chance to help. For example what happened when it died - how and why? What happens if you remove the battery cover, replaces it and turns on the device? Text on screen, like USB or Serial? Have you tried uploading ROM from different PCs?
The more info you provide, the more likely it is that someone recognizes your situation from own experience and can provide some help.

You are totaly right.
I have update my frvice with the wrong greek rom and now i have the 15 sec reboot thing.
When I startup my device he ends up the bootloader and the only way to get the device booting to windows is remove the battery cover. But the her reboots again after the 15 seconds.
In the bootloader i tried to load my backup with the SD card but nothing happens. I also tried to load a ROM with MaUpgradeUt_NoID but nothing happens. I only get empty version thing.

If i use the regular MaUpgradeUt and change the file change.bat for the xda3nbftool I get a error "error 201: get device data error".
I also tried to backup my device with the wrong ROM on it, to look at the header but nothing happens (romupdate.exe).
So my conclusion is that my bootloader is dead. Please correct me when i'm wrong but if this is the case how can i correct my bootloader.
When you unplug your Magician from the USB cable, what do you see?
If you see (with the backlight OFF) "Serial v1.00" or similar, thats a WORKING bootloader.
Make sure you have Active Sync DISABLED (right click the taskbar icon, click "Connection Settings..." the uncheck "Available by USB".
You should then plug in the USB cable and it should change to "USB v1.00" or similar.
Your PC may detect the connection as new hardware - that is a good sign that you have Active Sync disabled.
Let the New Hardware Wizard do it's thing, then re-run the upgrade setup and it should work.
If not, you've got BIG problems.
guess I'm in big trouble
The only thing i can do, is trying a different pc without ASync. On the current pc i'm working on, USB in activesync is disabled.
Are there any posibilties to reload (rebuilt, update) Bootloader.
Can somebody please help me.
The bootloader is built in as it's own ROM, and I've never seen a utility that can make it writeable. I doubt you've destroyed your bootloader, but that doesn't help you - sounds like you'll have to bite the bullet, act dumber than you are, and return it to the manufacturer for a repair - and probably pay for the privilege.

But isn't it strange that if you can't destroy it, it doesn't work anymore? And isn't there somebody who had the same problem?
Before you give up, try this:
Try using another USB cable.
I have experimented many times to realise that the upgrading process does require matching with the right cable.
I noticed that in the screenshot you posted, there is no info on what the device will be upgrade to! I could be wrong, but this may well mean that your device is incompatible with the ROM you are trying to upload.
Try downloading another ROM and give it a go. The best thing would be, if you can find one made specifically for your brand, ie Qtek, I-mate or whatever, and DON'T patch it. Just let the original installer do the job...

There isn't a orignal rom fot the dutch T-mobile MDA. And if you use a original installer, it uses ActiveSync. And i can't boot windows because it restarts after 15 seconds so I can't use ActiveSync.
Why can't you use an original ROM updater, if you have the Greek resetting ROM installed? I believe a lot of us has done so without any problems, including me. I don't remember precisely what I did, but it was no problem whatsoever. Most likely I just entered bootloader mode first, to keep the Magician from resetting...

I really tried everything but without any results. I realy don't know why i can't use the original ROM updater.
I have the similar problem, but mine one doesnt even start windows. It always go into the bootloader mode and stays there. I try upgrading it, but it gives me communication errors.
Do this
This is what you do.
Disconnect your JAm from USB
Go from your PC , ACTIVESYNC > FILE > CONNECTION SETTINGS > remove the check mark for ALLOW USB CONNECTION TO THIS DESKTOP COMPUTER
Now connect your JAM to your PC again via USB, this time active sync should not start since you have disabled USB
Now double click on the installer file of the original ROM and you should be good to go
After Reset , enable USB ,
Go from your PC , ACTIVESYNC > FILE > CONNECTION SETTINGS > Put a check mark for ALLOW USB CONNECTION TO THIS DESKTOP COMPUTER
MDA dead
I have tried.... it's not responsing as it should be.

[Q] Is my Galaxy S i9000 Bricked?

Okay so i had my phone rooted for fun and had no original purpose of installing CM7 on it before i read about a thread that displayed that it was a safe method to do according to what was wroten.
The phone (Galaxy S i9000) 2.2.1 Android was however, what i think is "bricked".
The phone starts with a simple picture showing me a phone with a dot-frame going to a triangle (warning sign) and further to a computer screen. Does this mean that the phone is bricked or is this something else?
The phone does not respond to:
Adb (android-sdk) throught CMD (windows 7 32 bit)
Kies
Odin
Droid Explorer
Android Control 1.3
The phone was originally modified with Odin 1.7 and failed after pushing the ROM into the phone. According to what i did, i did everything correct according to what was written in the explenation.
Please answer as quick as possible, otherwise i will try to get out the warranty which i doesn't even have anymore.
This screen means in fact that you are "nearly bricked" but some kind of emergency system is running what should act like the download mode (as I know it from my SGT). I had similar problem and after a bunch of work I found out that it was the USB driver from Samsung. A simple click in the Samsung Kies Software to re-install drivers helped me and I was able to normally flash a new Kernel, Rom, whatever. I guess you have a sync software as well (as well Kies?!), or try uninstalling drivers manually. Might work. May be worth a try.
Edit: Even with broken drivers it seemed that it was working with Kies... sync (with comlications, broke my calendar app after restarting tab after sync), storage mode, everything but no adb and such.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I know tried to:
Re-install Kies completelly
Removed drivers (manually)
Turned of the phone: ripped the battery out
Put it back in
Re-installed Kies (no phone connected)
Kies 2.0 Successfully installed
Re-install drivers throught kies
Checked that the phone was off and repeated step: 3
Put the usb cable in and begged to the god of nerds
Profit? No...
Kies didn't even find any device that it could try to connect to. Neither did any of above written softwares. The pc cant communicate with the phone.
Tried: 3-button-combo: lots of times!!
Adb prints: No device found
Odin: No device
Kies: No device
DroidExplorer: No device
Note that i live in Europe.
Guess you have a nice 450€ brick then... but as I am more a semi-noob than a semi-pro I am not qualified to tell you this as a shure fact... just an opinion...
send from my SGT with Overcome...
I contacted the company that sold my phone, got the number for Samsung Support, they redirected me to the company "Mobilbyrån" which will re-install and make sure my phone starts working as usual for 45 £. All thought i could done it with a jig on my own, but i rather trust a professional company to do this for me in exchange for my warranty (billing only guilty if warranty denied).
According to "Mobilbyrån" or translated "Phone Agency" this is a ordinary errand and that it's highly possible that this will go on my warranty that is still guilty for atleast 8 more months.
Solution for my problem would be to:
1. Build a Jig to hardware boot the phone into download mode
2. Enter Odin and push a new rom inside (preferebly a stock (android))
3. flash kernel (could be done before 2?)
4. Profit
I guess there is no way, even for Samsung, to find out if there was a third party Rom etc is installed as device refuses to do anything. You are only f*** up if they are still able to read out current data somehow... but 45£ is really a fair deal...

Sucks to hear that about your phone. I have a similar model and I managed to CM7 working. I followed a tutorial on this website and I semi-bricked it too at first although I've never had the same problem as you regarding Odin not being able to locate the phone.
Can you tell me the steps you took in trying to flash CM7 on it?
Also, refer to this topic to see if it can be of any help: clicky
It was when i were to use Odin the second time.
I managed to flash the speedmod kernel into the original Android ROM (stock). I also managed to install one of the zips that were to be installed throught recovery. But after this (when connecting to Odin) and this was the step where only one of the checkboxes (F.Reset Time i think).
So i made this and the Odin 1.7 told me: "Failed" or such. And i then got paniced, i disconnected the phone since i was so frightened something had gone bad, the phone was turned of and i reset the battery (in and out) and started the phone to notice that image (as told above).
Now i thought: Yeah, lets just reset the phone throught recovery and were kind of happy by the thought of it. So i tried to access it with the 3-btn-combo but as i just remembered is that in Europe this is patched to be removed.
So i thought, lets send a adb shell to the phone throught Android-spk and i connected the phone and sent the command: Adb wait-for-device, nothing happened and the phone couldn't be found by above said softwares.
So i thought: "Hmm... this isn't good"... So i started googling for what reason this could be and i believe it's called "Semi-bricked", that is "Almost" bricked phone.
So i were sad, called Samsung Tech support and they told me to contact "Mobilbyrån Stockholm" who were a tech repair support, they wanted either 45 £ or my warranty insurance if i wanted the phone fixed. I thought... yeah right, so i sent my phone to the company and i am now waiting for what they are about to do with it.
I suppose a jig would work, thought no one i know got one and i have poor skills at constructing electrical or related components so i put up a thread (like this one) at Sweclockers.com and found a guy that had one which he could lend for me, super, just have to wait and see what happens.
I suppose this "Jig" method could work, but will the computer really notice my phone as a device? It doesn't do that now, thats why i am asking.
At all moments i used Terminal for Android phones (throught market: Android Terminal) by sending commands (since 3-btn-combo didnt work):
> "Su" <- needed for Superuser allowance for controlling the phone
> "Adb reboot recovery"
> "Adb reboot download"
And the phone starts with this picture:

You need to install ADB platform tools (search the forum for it) and proper drivers (I used Universal Naked Driver), then follow the directions in this thread. The driver will enable Windows to "see" your device as fastboot, and the platform tools will allow you to issue ADB commands from within its folder. You need to also put your tab in fastboot mode (if you have custom recoveries such as CWM ot TWRP) by going to recovery menu and select the USB icon.
Note: once in cmd admin mode, you must first navigate to the platform-tools folder, wherever it is located. Ex: cd C:\platform-tools\ assuming that your PT folder is in drive C on your PC.

[GUIDE] How to convert TMobile OP7 to International.

First of all this is not my work I only tested theirs.
Credit to @themustached for finding that a patched .ops was the solution.
This guy doesn't even have the damn phone yet and did this for us so show some love. You can donate to him through paypal here - http://paypal.me/dustinwann
Also @Eliminater74 @jkyoho and others for their hard work and dedication to this conversion.
Disclaimer: I do not take responsibility for any damage done to your device by using this procedure. Everyone has problems sometimes so be civil and ask clear questions explaining where you failed if you expect help.
These instructions will convert your TMOBILE Oneplus 7 PRO to the International version of the phone.
This lets you unlock the bootloader, root, twrp etc.. Sim unlock is still being worked on.
Take a breath, drop the hype and read every single step before you even plug your phone into the PC.
These steps assume you understand you lose all data on the device, are sim unlocked, have the Download mode drivers installed, adb and fastboot and your device powered OFF.
1) Download both of these archives and extract them to a folder you can locate. - https://mega.nz/#!289BVITR https://mega.nz/#!St1DiShb Mirror - https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=294946
2) Open the MSM tool and uncheck the box next to SHA 256.
3) Hold both volume buttons for 5 seconds then plug in the USB cable. OR In ADB type "adb reboot edl".
4) Watch the MSM tool and the second it says *Connected* next to one of the COM ports, press START.
5) DO NOT unplug the device until after it says Success in green.
6) Once the phone boots into the system, go through all the setup options.
7) Enable Developer Options and enable OEM Unlocking.
8) Enter bootloader mode on your device and type "fastboot oem unlock".
You now have an unlocked international OP7.
If you want to root and install twrp dont take the OTA yet.
-Follow these two threads below then take the OTA, do that after you root and twrp. You can preserve root by going into Magisk Manager after the OTA installs, then press the top Install button on the right and use the after OTA option.
This will put you on the latest version with twrp, root and working sound/wifi.

~FAQ~
~Not fast enough to start flash
If you press Start on the MSMTool it will "wait for device".
Doing this will make the flash start right when the phone enters EDL.
~MSM is getting stuck on Param Preload or something similar.
This can be caused by having old Oneplus L2 drivers from a different model installed.
-Follow the steps up until MSM gets stuck. Open Device Manager, right click on the Qualcomm device under the COM section.
Click Uninstall but do not check the box to delete the driver, then click Scan for Hardware changes. Now go to the folder you extracted the L2 driver to, right click the inf file and click Install.
You should be able to use the MSM tool right away but may need to exit and re-open. Also restart back into EDL if needed.
You guys are the best, I'm going to try it once I get home. Do I need to unlock the bootloader if I don't want to after the conversion?

FAQ
How to Update?
Click Update button in Application or Run Update.exe in application folder. And click check and update.
why detect as Virus?
I have used windows process moniter for detecting Usb in runtime so in some scaners detect it as malware.
But soon i will fix it.! WMP.exe is a signed process exe. But fixing soon.!
Do i have to use internet always?
No ! There is an on off feature to use as Offline. Goto (about) then (activation) and untick server support,
Then click save thats all!
Why aabox3 pro?
If you are a android device user and have some problem. Repair or flash it at home or a small shop.
But you cant afford a software box? Aabox3 pro is free for you to use what i need is only thanks button pressed!
This box / tool fully made by and from help of Xda members... xda had helped this box support since 2010.
Aabox then Aabox2 and now Aabox3 pro, this tool does some process free which other box does for credits.
You will find it when you use it.
Why need Online server?
Frp and rooting and some model loaders are changing per week or daily so application cant be updated every time.
So it uses xml serialization from aabox protected server ftp to use its lastest scripts.
All fails in a process and errors are fixed in every update. So you need Server support if you enable in settings!
Default settings will be enabled server support.!
Why Start button not work?
I wont work if u have install in a unofficial setup or not in a default path as c:/artiven/aabox.
Try to Click Check port to Enable Start button will fix in all errors!
Run as Admin rights to save settings and io control need to right zip files and get backups so use Admin Rights!
Aabox3 Freeze or Show error!
Freezing is because of adb or fastboot device not connected. (Will be fixed soon)
Remove device from usb and reconnect will solve!
Error with code like (error 022, error 66, error b1a) please send a email to ([email protected]) with error code!
Or Write it in comments or posts in here with error code!
Loaderdll error fix
Install Fastboot drivers and restart application in admin rights.

Not seeing zte supported.. I have a k88 tablet (Jasmine) that's rooted with twrp and rom. Yet not bootloader unlocked I'm pretty sure. Would this tool execute the cmd code "OEM fastboot unlock" even if fastboot is inaccessible on this tablet (uncertain exactly why, but even adb reboot fastboot prompts a restart to /system.) Thank you
Help
