Question on installing firmware
Hello I have a SM-G935U and I want to know if it's possible to put the Stock T-Mobile Firmware >> G935TUVU4APK1 << onto it without rooting and bricking the device? If so do I just use ODIN to put it on? and if so can you please give me step by step or a link to show me also. I have the firmware already just wanted to ask an expert opinion if it can be done and if it has can you explain in detail how to install it.
Sorry for not starting a new thread, this site wouldn't let me because I was new to this forum.
Does this work for all variants of the Snapdragon variants of the S7 Edge?

Where can i download the G935U stock firmware?
Howdy. I have been doing this for years but i am a little out of the loop.
carrier TMobile
baseband G930TUVS8CRL1
I recently tried to root my s7 with kingroot but I guess thats maybe malware and I'm kinda paranoid about it. In either case I would like to flash a stock OS to the phone. I would like to use a rom from a verified source such as tmobile.
Where can I download the official OS? Preferably not a mirror site.
Is rooting even possible on my baseband currently?
Thanks y'all

Hi there
U can download official stock frimware from sammobile but its slow speed ,you can use updato.com its faster ( just make sure u put correct model in search
There is also samfirm app for pc (google it)
Never root with kingroot , use the proper way if your model is unlocked.
Dunno abouth s7 usa models, most of them are with locked bootloader meaning phone cant be rooted
Edit : actually go here for your variant and see what u can find about rooting your g930t

Yeah man I did see that, but I wasn't really sure if it was for tmobile
Also I would rather download the files directly from samsung or tmobile
How do I know if kingroot installed some malware on my phone???
PS: naw it's a locked phone

You can't directly download firmware from Samsung let alone from tmobile
These sites are only one who can obtain official firmware for all variant for all models.
Here is direct link for your g930t tmobile
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930T/
Just scroll down a bit
U can't root your phone with kingroot , it will most likely fail . Go to t-mobile s7 xda section ,there u can find all info needed for whatever u need
Good luck
SamFirm tool downloads directly from Samsung https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647

Sorry for being difficult but how do you know that whoever made a samfirm didn't make it install malware on the phone also?
If that program can download directly from samsung why can't i!
First I've heard of that, they'd be banned from xda if that were true.
Sounds like it would have been a dodgy third party rehosting their own version.
Samsung encrypts their firmware files, and they don't sit on a permanent link or anything, so you need a tool to find and decrypt the files.

SamFirm Tool works perfectly stop worrying over nothing.
Hi.
i've bricked my GALAXY S7 recently, so i managed to download a stock firmware from sammobile.
i have downloaded the 2018-10-25 (older, i did an ota update to the latest firmware 2018-12-01)
and it didn't work ! googled the problem, found that you can't downgrade in carrier phones.
so i went to the latest one the 2018-12-01, download it from sammobile, it took forever to download ! thanks to samsung servers.
and .... the RAR file was corrupted -_- .
the AP file is corrupted, the other files (BL,CP,CSC .. working normal)
so what should i do ?
hate t-mobile
sorry for any language mistakes. English isn't my native.

You can use websites like sammobile or updato to download firmware. You will have to search for you model number and region/carrier.
Or for the latest firmware use PC apps like samfirm or frija.

Several months ago I've rooted my Samsung Galaxy S7, but was not satisfied and tried to unroot the phone. But it became a drama.
My phone doesn't start up anymore.
I tried to load the original firmware with Odin, but every attempt failed, showing the error message:
Check fail(bootloader) device: 8, binary: 7
I understood that the firmware I was trying to load, was not the most recent firmware.
But I cannot find newer firmware for my model: SM-G930F - The Netherlands
I've downloaded the most recent firmware from Samdb.org and I've downloaded the most recent firmware with the Frija tool.
Also I've tried the Fixppo software from iMyFone, but without success.
From Sammobile unfortunately I cannot download files, so I could not try this way.
Could anyone give me the golden tip?

Use Sam Firm tool, to downlaod Netherlands (MMO) then flash with Odin. MMO is currently boot loader 8 which you need.
